In current days Syfy has aired annual marathons of The Twlight Zone on July 4 and New Year's Eve/New Year's Day. It is just used as filler any other time. Back in a 1996 episode of 7th Heaven a character mentions watching the Twilight Zone marathon on Thanksgiving. How long has Syfy had the exclusive cable rights?

According to their website (http://www.syfy.com/syfywire/20-years-twilight-zone-new-years-marathon-and-20-things-you-didnt-know-about-show), Syfy has been doing the marathons since New Year's Eve 1995. I don't know if they have the exclusive rights though.

To be honest I never knew there was a Thanksgiving marathon tradition. I thought it was just a New Years/July 4th thing.
