Ugh! I just looked at some old DVDs, undoubtedly originally from someone's VHS tapes from Odyssey, of season 12. Horrible edits...horrible quality!
Most edits are at the beginning, immediately after the producer/writer/director credits. These credits are most often a long shot of LA Freeways or a fountain, dissolving to the Douglas house. The bad thing is, after the edit, it almost always jumps to some other location.
From that syndication bible (and what a local TV 40 station manager told me), it seems that Paramount/CBS sends out full network versions. I'd have to hope that's the case with S12, and the edits were done by Odyssey network. If MeTV gets network versions, their edits HAVE to be better!
One other thing: from what TV Guy said in another thread, an intro exists on the original versions, which shows Dawn Lyn and Ronne Troup in the credits, and omits Don Grady. Also, these versions probably have Fred saying, "Hi! Welcome to our show." Since I can't get onto Facebook, could someone copy this to Facebook and get this to MeTV? I'd like to see if they can get hold of these corrected opening credits.
