Hey i am bored so i decided to write a nice lil fan fic.


The time is 8:00 am. Jinny Exstead enters the felony division of the SFPD with a smile on her face. Everything in her life seemed to be looking up. She was back on the captains good side, and she had just bought a new car with her hard earned money.

Cap: morning Jin. Before you even have your morning coffee, i just wanted to let you know that the murder case youve been working on has finally come together. Mr Carmen's attorney is talking about a plea bargain, but we need to make sure that he stays on the line.

Jin: Is there a point to this rambling?

Cap: You and Magda need to sit down with ADA Blumenthal about the plea or you could lose it.

Jin: Anything else? (captain shakes her head) Oh and Capt . Just to let you know. ive already had my morning coffee.

Jinny walks over to her desk and plops down into her chair. Magda walks into the office with Teddy at her side.

Mag: Jinny! Lets go we have work to do. (madga smirks as she walks into the conference room with Teddy)

Jin: oh great. The perfect start to an obviously perfect day.

Teddy: Good morning Inspector (Jin nods)

Jin: let me say this again Theodore, its Jinny, and its not really a good morning now is it?

Mag: Come on you two knock it off. We have work to do.

The three sit down to work on the case attempting to put together all of the hard facts and minor facts that they have about the case.

Jin: well we have a six pack and statements from 4 people who fingered Mr Carmen as the shooter. Thats hard evidence right there. Material witness'.

Teddy: Its still going to take a lot of time that im sure none of us have during the day to get this together so ill tell you what. You two meet me at my place at 7:30 tonight and wel work it out.

Mag: Ugg i cant. I have a family thing.

Jin: Ill come for business purposes. Mag do whatcha gotten do, well take care of it. As long as you wont feel uncomfortable about it.

Teddy: Its fine. See you tonight. (gathers his things and leaves)

Mag: Time alone with the ex. Thats gonna be akward isnt it?

Jin: Probably..no...yea.. No, no its not. We are working a case, co-workers its fine. (magda smiles at jinny and turns around)

That night, Jinny sat out front of teddys house for about 20 minutes deciding if she should go in our not. She was interrupted by a knock on her new car window.

Teddy: Youve only been sitting out here for 20 minutes jin. Come on in. I wont bite....Hard.

Jinny got out of the car and headed into his apt. About 30 minutes later the two of them were stuttering their words.

Teddy: Jinny Why are we doin this? We both know that it doesnt feel like work. It feels like old times.

Jin: I know i feel the same way but i mean...It has to be work related cause remember we arent friends or anything. we are co-workers.

Teddy: i made a mistake jin. I shouldnt have said what i did to you because you were the only thing that was making me happy in my whole life. You got help. I know that when you kissed him, it wasnt you. it was the alcohol. and i know that i still do love you and i cant deny that.. i try but its not that...

his words were cut short when jinny pulled him to her and began to kiss his soft lips. She wanted at that moment to do nothing but be with him. She wanted to wake up in his arms and feel nothing but his body next to hers. Teddy on the other hand, was still confused about what he was feeling. But he did know that he wanted her.. And bad...

Jinny: Teddy shut up.

The two begin to fondle eachothers clothes. Teddy's masculine chest is an instant pair of lips to jinny as she begins to kiss him up and down his body. In return Teddy does the same (haha this is the part of the divisioin you cant see lol) They begin to passionatley make love, the whole time teddy concentrating on how bad he wanted Jinny to be his again, and Jinny concentrating on how could it felt to be with someone again.

The next morning Jinny woke up in Teddys arms. He was still sound asleep so she figured now was a good time to quietly tiptoe out the door. She found a piece of paper in his briefcase and was about to write a letter when she saw her name on the front of an envelope. she slipped it out and shrugged her shoulders as she set it on the desk. She would read it later.
She began to write a small detailed note to Teddy. Heres what she wrote.



Dear Teddy
I just wanted to tell you that i had a lot of fun last night. Well maybe fun isnt the right word but i think you get it. It really meant a lot to me knowing that you still cared as much as i did. Heres the part that i conviently neglected to tell you. Last night was my closure. I was indeed using you to make sure that i didnt want to be with you anymore. See Teddy, you are everything that i USED to want. Not everything i need. You no longer hold a place in my heart. As a matter of fact. I have somebody else. They are perfect for me and they work with you. He is a DA. He is bright and charming and great. We have a lot more now than what you and i ever had. Im sorry to inform you like this, but it had to be done. Take care. Jinny


And with that Jinny closed his briefcase and got dressed. When she was done she picked up her black leather jacket and slipped the note to her into her pocket than headed out the door...

Later that morning Jinny stared at the sealed envelope debating with herself on whether to open it or not. :confused:

Jin: to open or not to open, that is the question... Man the hell with this.

She tore opened the letter and focused it on the date in the right hand corner. it was from yesterday.. when had he read it? she thought to herself. silently she read.

Dear Jinny,
This is by far the hardest letter that i have ever had to write in my entire life. I know im gonna mess up in it a bit but here goes. SIGH. first off, when i saw you in the division my mind wasnt on the case..thats why i left so soon. my mind was on you and how much i loved you. I cant pretend jinny. Outside the courthouse that day when i was trying to help you..i wish you could have seen my heart becasue it was in two,, i can still hear you saying "what do you want teddy? You cant be hear for a friendly chat because remember were not friends." those words have been eating me up Jinny and i cant live with those words. I want the last words that we say to eachother to be i love you, not WERE NOT FRIENDS. you know what? We are friends. Best friends. I have only ever loved one person jin, and that girl i was dating for awhile... i though she was my first love, but baby...i didnt know what real love was until i met you.. and i know you have problems and that youve done stupid things, but thats just things youve done. Not who you are. I know who you really are jinny. and by far i think im the only one that really does. Call me. I love you from now til forever...

Jinnys eyes filled up with tears as she read the words to herself over and over again.

Jinny (to herself): Im such an idiot.. god why? Why do you insist on taking everything from me why! Everytime my life is good. WHY!
she stood up and kicked her chair, then she picked up her coffee and threw it to the ground. She hit her desk hard and then grabbed her lamp and threw it off the desk then walked quickly out of the office leaving the note on the desk behind her.

all the while her thoughts were trailing back to all the people that she had lost..first my mom, then my friends, now teddy..god why am i such an idiot..she thought to herself.. she walked swiftly out the courthouse door and began heading across the street to anchorside. she walked through the door and sat down at the bar..

Sean: Jinny! hey girl long time no see. usually you dont say hi..you sit down at the table..look jin magda told me about rehab and im so proud of..

Jin: gimme a silver pratrone

Sean stared blankly at her.
Sean: i cant do that kid

Jin: Sean its either here where you can watch me or somewhere else where i get drunk. Your pick.

Sean sighed and began mixing the vodka, white rum and other ingridients together and gave it to jinny.
Jinny remembered leaving rehab

Jinny sighed and quickly picked up the drink and gulped it.
Jinny: oh my god.. *SIGH* oh man ive missed this. Sean- gimme a miller lite. Ill nurse that for a while..
Sean sighed and handed her the requested drink.Jinny grabbed the bottle and began to "slowly drink it." After about 2 minutes it was gone and another was in front of her.
Soon Jinny had inhaled 3 millers and 2 silver pratrones..

sean: Jinny stop.. i have to cut you off. im sorry. I shouldnt have given you one...

Jinny: thanx for nothing sean.
She slirred her speech as she stood up and almost fell over. She had forgotten the affects of alcohol and since she hadnt drank in 149 days she didnt realize it would hit her more. She stumbled her way out the door and down the two stairs.. She could barely see anything her vision was so blurred and she stepped off the curb. She fell to her knees and rolled over a bit right before she heard the loud honk and screeching of a moving car, heading right towards her...

The car quickly swirved to the right to avoidhitting jinny but came to a screaming stop just past her. The driver stepped out of the car and looked at her. He recognized her very well. She was the girl who slept with him, made him really like her, than turned around and lied to his face by saying she was engaged.

Bob: Bitch! ****ing lunatic. Ive been waiting so long to be able to tell you how i feel about you. cop or no cop.. witness or no witness.
He shouted as he reached under his jacket and pulled out a small M15. He shot two shots off then jumped in his car and sped off. ... Sean having seen the whole thing rushed to her side.

Sean: Jesus. Jinny. Hold on baby. Hold on Jinny. God someone clal 911 now! hurry up.

At that moment, Teddy was pulling up in front of the division and saw sean knelt down beside a body and decided to see if he could help. Realizing it was Jinny, he screamed and ran in front of the other cars to be at her side.

Teddy: Jesus what happened!!!

Sean: she came into the bar, had to much to drink. Fell off the curb and somebody almost hit her. Then he hollered something and shot her.. go call 911!

Teddy: You go.. i cant leave her!

Man: I called. theyll be right here.

Sean and Teddy: Thanks.

Jinnys breathing began to skip as she looked at teddy..

Jinny: I saw ...the note.. you wrote me...

Teddy: i know i know.. god jinny.. dont talk..just be still.

Jinny: Im so sorry.. we could have..given it another chance.. But i had to be stupid.. Im sorry theodore.. I have always loved you... you can..see it in my eyes..

and with that teddys eyes filled with tears as he lifted her hand and kissed it gently.

Teddy: hang on jinny. my god hang on...

and with that Jinny took her last few faint breaths...

Jinny was immediatly rushed to the hospital and operated on. He pulse was faint so they had to get the shells out of her body and try to help her. The shots had hit her in her left arm and in the side of her chest, where we all know is very hard to recover from. The doctors, surgeons and nurses all tried for hours to recover jinny whos pulse was now dropping rapidly.. sadly, everything they were doing was not enough. They announced Jinny's Time of Death at 12:04 pm.

teddy felt guilty and sean felt worse. He had given her an excuse to die..to end her pain. he felt at fault because he had given her the last drink that killed her. Teddy on the other hand had written the note that had made her drink. Soon Madga, CD, and Kate showed up. The three of them all had there own reasons for blaming themselves..Kate thought that since she let jinny walk out upset she was at fault. Madga thought that it all related back to the intervention so she was at fault. CD thought that it was her fault because she didnt do anything for jinny except rag on her about her drinking. But all barried deep inside them somewhere, they knew that the only person to blame was Jinny...They also knew that at her funeral, they were all gonna cry and show their blame and true feelings. All except for Teddy, who vowed that he wouldnt go and he didnt..

The funeral..

Priest: ashes to ashes..dust to dust.. Go Virgina Exstead. Rest in Peace for all eternity.. go ...go ...go..

Jinny: lets just say i had a wake up dream..and im so glad, because it really hit home. I know where my priorites are now and i dont ever , EVER want to lose you. You mean so much to me and i just..

he said as he quickly pulled her to him and began to kiss her softly. She reached down and moved the sheets that were serparating their naked bodies, and moved her body down to kiss his chest. he gently kissed the top of her head as she continued her journey down his muscular body. Somewhere Jinny knew that this was the only the begining of a beautiful realionship between her and her teddy bear. She knew that she wanted this more than anything..Just to wake up in his arms and to feel comfortable with the person who was at her side, No more drinking, no more slutting.. no more being alone..she had finally found the one person that she had always dreamed about holding for an eternity...or had she???

About a week later, Jinny walked into the division with a bright smile on her face. jinny was a little hurt by her comment that was supposed to be funny and she walked out. She turned the corner towards the elevator just in time to see Teddy get on it, hand in hand with a blonde. She quickly runs down the stairs. As The elevator doors open he sees Teddy kissing the blonde gently then departing with her. He sees Jinny. And approaches her as if nothing is wrong.

Teddy: hey gorgeous. * he attempts to kiss her , but she pulls away*

jin: the girl teddy. Who was it.

Teddy: a client darling. Its ok. just a friend and client.

Jin: you made your point teddy. Now i know how it feels. See ya.

Jinny holds up her middle finger and get s on the elevator and goes upstairs...

she said looking at the beer bottle sitting in front of her nose.
she picked it up and carefully read the bottom for some odd reason.
Jin: 153 days down the drain..
she inhaled the first gulp then made a digusted face..

Jin: my god.. what i saw in this stuff must have been....
all at once..the burn on the back of her throat that she loved came back to her and she got a digestive feeling in her stomach..

Jin: must have been amazing..
she finished gulping that beer followed by one more.

Jin to herself: ok be responsible.. thats enough.

she stood up and slapped a 10 on the bar then walked out . she was proud.. only 2 drinks. that was it.. nothing that could hurt her right? Well after 153 days sober, it was like taking a drink for the first time, you know when it hits you the hardest.
she walked outside and got into her car. she started it, listened to 5 or 6 songs to "adjust to the view" then pulled out onto the road.. She remembered her dream and started to daze. she couldnt think about anything but teddy...teddy this.. teddy that.. teddys about to hit another car head on....no wait! she realized.. that was her!

she slammed on her braked quickly but wasnt quick enough as she hit the other car.. thank god she hit the car when she was going only about 15 and the other car was stopped. she hit her head on the steering wheel before standing up..
(now she didnt have the crash becasue she was drunk but simply casue she wasnt paying attention)

Lady: You bitch! I have a child in the car with me! you could have killed us both!

jin: jesus im so sorry. i wasnt paying attention..

lady: thats right you werent!!
the lady dialed 911 on her cellphone..

Jin to herself: Please dont let the inspectors respond. it was a crash not a homicide.. come on patrol officers.

about 10 minutes later three police officers arrived and flared off the scene. They then took statements from both drivers and two witnesses..Jinny plead that it was indeed her fault which led to a breathalizer test which she failed..

Jin: jesus i wasnt drunk! I wasnt paying attention..

The officers then had her take 15 steps forward, turn around and walk back on a straight line.
The incident was taken to court, where Jinny knew she was gonna have points put on her license.

Baliff: On the day of the incident, Jinny Exstead, inspector for the sfpd was given 3 drunk driving tests includin a breathalizer which showed a .09 BAC level, a line test where the defendent missed steps 3, 7,8, and 14 up and missed steps 4, 6, and 12 on the way back..and later a urine test which showed a BAC level of .07 3 hours later

States attorney" your honor we are recommending ms exstead have to go through an improved driver class, 3 hour alcohol class, and be put on probation at work, for 90 days.

Judge: Miss exstead, as a police official you should sure as hell no a lot better than to do that.. i have reviewed your record as well and it shows that you were in rehab for 28 days and another 30 in a half way house.. well exstead if that wasnt enough, maybe this will be.. The states attorneys recommendations will proceed, you will be going for a driver improvment class, 6 hours of alcohol classes, and you will be on probation for 120 days, and will have to meet with a sponser 3 times a week is that clear?

Jin: (eyes filling up with tears) yes sir.

Judge: Of course that sentence will begin after you complete another 28 day rehab and spend 6 weeks in a half way house, pending that you do well in rehab.

Jin: sir i cant! please give me a chance!

Judge: sentence is passed.. you have 3 days miss exstead to work out arrangements.. case dismissed.
