k well this is my new fic and the title sux so i mite change it later on but...for now.....yea.....anywayz so...the beginning is boring...i kno i kno...it'll get better..i hope


~it is 9:30 a.m. in the Division…Jinny and Magda are sitting at their desks going through some old paper work~

Captain Kate Mcafferty opened the door to her office, “Exstead, Ramirez” she said “my office.”
Jin and Mag walked into her office as she shut the door behind them.
Captain shuffled through a few papers to find the folder she was looking for. She then pulled it out and said, “15 year old Brittany Gold was raped last night…”
Jinny squinted a little bit “15?” she asked.
Captain nodded and gave her a folder. “Brittany’s in San Francisco Memorial Hospital as of now, go over there as soon as possible.”
Mag combed her fingers through her hair and nodded as she and Jinny walked out of the office.

Nate and a***4 months pregnant*** CD walked into the division. They had been working on a homicide case for the past few days. They had narrowed the case down to two suspects and were debating who they thought was behind the drugs. “Look, Nate…Mark may seem like a nice guy but you’ve seen his records…” CD said as she flipped through a few papers. “Rape, drug abuse, shoplifting…this guy is far from clean.”
“CD, that was years ago. He’s 45 years old now! He’s has a wife and kids…it just doesn’t seem logical for him to mess all that up now.”
Kate walked by while Nate was speaking. She turned around, “You’re not saying 45’s old are you…” she asked.
“Oh, um of course not I was just um…” he scratched his head.
Kate grinned a little. “That’s what I thought…anyway…what have you narrowed this case down to?”
“well, we got Mark Bolton, 45 year old husband and father of two, and Tony Jackson 23 year old male.” answered CD.
“Okay…tell me about these two..” Kate said.
Nate flipped open a folder. “Well in the past 30 years, he’s been charged with rape, drug abuse, and shoplifting. Tony has been known for violent tantrums and for abusing his ex girlfriend…that’s about all we have.” he closes the folder.
“All three witnesses were able to identify these two men so we know it must be one of em…we’re heading over to Tony’s place in a few.” CD added.
Captain nodded and walked away.

***meanwhile Jinny and Magda reached the hospital. They had just entered Brittany’s room***

“Hi…” Jinny began “I’m Inspector Exstead and this is Inspector Ramirez” both of them showed the girl their badges.
“Can I help you…” Brittany said quietly.
“You can start by telling us what happened to you..” Magda said.
Brittany shook her head. “I uh…don’t wanna say.” she paused “do if you could just go…”
Mag glanced over at Jin and than back to the girl. “We can’t help you if you’re not going to tell us anything Brittany.”
Brittany shivered a little bit. speaking incredibly slowly she said... “Well…my mom and dad got divorced a few years ago so my mom’s been dating for a while now. She had two boyfriends though. Neither of them knew that she was dating two men at once. My mom wanted it to stay that way but, somehow, I don’t really know, but they found out about each other and were really mad…" she paused "It was the middle of the night when I heard a pounding at the door.” her eyes started to get teary. “They both started yelling at her and…and…the next thing I knew my mom ran out of the house and slammed the door, leaving me all alone.”
“Wait…your mom just left you there?” asked Jinny-kind of shocked.
Brittany nodded.
Reluctantly, the girl continued “I hid under my covers to try to block out all the yelling and all…but it didn’t work…I heard the door slam and I had thought they both finally left. I was wrong. only one was gone....it was pitch black when a-” a tear rolled down her cheek. “d…dark figure came into my room…I had no idea who it was…” she paused “he mumbled something like ’this wasn’t exactly how I planned it but it’ll hafta do.’ Than he…he hit me…so hard that it knocked me out” she moved her hair to show a large scar on the left side of her face. “ I…I don’t remember much after that…all I remember is waking up here…in a hospital bed…my mom must have taken me here when she found me.” Brittany wiped the tears away from her eyes.
Magda and Jinny looked shocked.
“Do you know the names of your mom’s two boyfriends?”
She nodded. “Vinny Varano and Joe…Joe um…Wagner”
Jinny’s eyes widened…


Joe Wagner is the guy who raped jinny...they just never said his last name so i hadta make it up

** CD and Nate had reached Tony Jackson’s house.**

“Look-” Tony said. “I dunno what you coppers are talkin ‘bout. I didn’t kill Julie or whatever her name was. I didn’t even know the girl.”
“Okay well we have three witnesses who all identified you being near the scene of the crime on Wednesday night.” Nate answered.
“All did on Wednesday night was go to the bank, okay?“ he said.
“Would that happen to be the bank across from Rural Street?” CD asked.
“Yea” Tony answered starting to get frustrated. “If you don’t believe me, go look at the videotape from the bank…I mean I mighta been near the scene of the crime but I didn’t kill no one…”
“When you left the bank, did you see anything?” CD paused “like a dead body…” she said getting annoyed with Tony.
“I don’t care if you arrest me for this one but-” he hesitated. “ I was too drunk to even see my own hand clearly, none the less see a body on the road…so you just go head and arrest me for DWI…I don’t even care…all I know is I didn’t kill that girl.”
“Thanks for your help” CD said in an annoyed and rude tone.
“We’ll be in touch.” Nate added.

**Jinny and Magda left the hospital and were in the car…Jinny had barely said a word ever since Brittany said the name “Joe Wagner”. Mag didn‘t realize who Joe was…yet**

“Jin…” Mag began.
Jinny didn’t respond.
“Jin…” Mag said a little louder. Still no response.
“Jin!” she practically yelled.
Jinny turned around. “What?!” she asked annoyed.
“What’s wrong with you-huh?” Mag answered.
Jin shook her head- “Nothin”
Mag gave her a ‘yea right’ look, and said “Oh please…it’s obviously something.”
Jin hesitated, but finally said “One of her mom’s boyfriends name was Joe Wagner…sound familiar?”
Magda shook her head. “No, not really.”
“Think about it Mag…”
After about two minutes Magda figured out who Joe was. “Oh my G-d Jinny…is this the
same Joe that” she paused and lowered her voice “raped you last year?”
“Bulls eye..” answered Jinny.
Mag put her hand on her head..“Are you gonna be aright doing this case?” she paused “I mean, when we bring him in
and all…”
“Guess I’ll have to be now won’t I.” Jinny answered

**Jinny and Magda had Vinny and Joe come into the station to be questioned…they had talked to Vinny first and he seemed innocent but they weren’t sure of anything yet…**

“You guys wanna see Joe now?” Raina asked Jin and Mag.
Mag glanced over at Jinny, “Um…yea sure.” she answered.
Raina nodded and walked out of the room to get Joe.
“I’ll do all the talkin’ if you want Jin-” Mag said
Jinny shook her head. “Don’t bother.”
Just then Joe walked in the room and sat down. He looked at Jinny as if he knew her from somewhere but couldn’t remember where…
“Aright Joe, listen up…“ Magda began “you were one of Mariah Gold’s boyfriends, right?”
Joe nodded his head “Yea, what’s it to ya?”
“What was your reaction when you realized she was cheating on you..? Did you want revenge?” Mag asked.
Joe shrugged. “Nah, I mean sure I was mad but I wasn’t actually gonna do anything ‘bout it.”
“Okay, so then raping your girlfriend’s daughter for revenge would be out of the question right?” Jin said rudely and sarcastically.
He scratched his head, “You actually believe that girl was raped? More like she raped me…”
Mag and Jin’s eyes widened. “What do you mean by that?” Jin asked
“I had some stuff at Mariah’s house you know? Since I was there so much I mean…anyway considering that it was over between us, I figured I’d get all my stuff and go.” he paused “So I go upstairs and Brianna, no wait…Brittany, yea that was her name, well she was sitten in her bedroom, where all my stuff was, practically waiting for me“ he paused again “I’m leanin down to get my stuff and all of a sudden this girl just started getting at it with me! I mean I tried to get her to stop and all but she just kept goin…”
“You expect us to believe a 15 year old forced you to have sex with her?” Mag said in disbelief.
“Believe whatever you want, all I know is that the only way to get her off-a me was to push her off the bed…she gotta pretty nasty bruise on her face from that one.”
“Give me a break…you raped that girl and we’re gonna do everything we can to prove it.” Jinny said sharply.
Joe squinted “Hey, I remember you now…” Joe began “you were that slut over at the bar last year…yea…I remember now.”
Magda practically jumped up out of her chair and immediately grabbed Joe by the collar and put his face just above the table-top. “Listen to me, call her a slut again, I’ll break you’re nose. Got it?” she said firmly.
“Aye! Get off!” Joe answered trying to get away.
“do you understand?!” Magda raised her voice.
“Yea, I got it aright?!”
Mag let go and sat back down as Joe was fixing his collar. “We’re keeping you in custody for statutory rape by the way.”
“What?!” he asked shocked. “The girl forced me into it!”
Mag rolled her eyes, “whatever…”
“This is nuts!! You’re both crazy! Ya hear me?!…”
his voice started to fade out in Jinny’s mind. She just sat there thinking about what had happened with him…she tried to block it out but it was all so clear and fresh in her mind now…

btw-mariah's brittanys mom...yea u prob figurd that out but ooo well

**CD and Nate had gone to the bank and watched the videotape of the exact time the murder took place. Turned out that Tony Jackson was telling the truth. The video from the bank ended up to have an outside view as well. This tape proved Mark Bolton guilty for the murder of Julie Gordon. They were now at Mark’s house, planning to arrest him.**

CD knocked on the door and a woman answered it. “Can I help you?” she asked.
CD and Nate flashed their badges. “Mrs. Bolton, I’m Inspector DeLorenzo and this is Inspector Basso, SFPD.”
“Well, what do you want with me?” the woman asked, confused.
“We need to know where your husband is.” Nate answered.
“He’s out food shopping, why?”
“Because he committed the murder of Julie Gordon on Wednesday night and we need to find him.”
“My husband?” she laughed, “ No, I think you have the wrong man…my husband would never kill anyone!” the woman said.
“We have a tape to prove it so obviously he would…” CD answered back rudely. “Now, what supermarket is he at?”
Mrs. Bolton just shook her head and mumbled something like “you people are crazy”, and shut the door in CD and Nate’s faces.
“Let’s just check the supermarket down the block or something…” Nate said.
CD nodded and they both went back to the car.

**It took them both about 4 minutes to get to the closest supermarket. They walked in and looked around. They had backup waiting outside…**

“You check over there, I’ll get this side.”
CD nodded in approval and started walking over to the other side of the supermarket.
She was looking through each aisle when she saw a man who looked like Mark Bolton. She quickly checked the small picture of him she had brought with her to double check to see if it was actually him. Once she was sure, she approached him.
“SFPD Freeze!!!” she yelled as she grabbed him from the back.
“Hey!” he yelled back as he tried to get away from her grasp.
Nate had heard CD yell, so he called for backup as he rushed over to where she was restraining Mark.
Once Mark saw Nate coming and realized that there was no other way out, he used all his strength and jammed his elbow straight into her stomach.
CD’s eyes widened as she hunched over, holding her stomach and fell to the ground.
Nate chased after the man, and with the help of the other back up officers, was able to get the man in cuffs.
Than, Nate immediately raced back to CD to find her practically in tears on the tile floor. He called 911 right away….


ahh btw-cd's divorce lawyer person she was datin was the one who got her pregnant in the first place...but they broke up...CD didnt care tho...she wanted the baby anyway and was planning to be a single mom.

**Jinny and Magda went over to Brittany’s house to talk to her again**

“How ya feeling?” Jinny asked.
Brittany shrugged. “Okay, I guess…” she paused “so did you arrest him yet?” she asked eagerly
“Well, we have him in custody, but that’s not exactly what we’re here to talk about.” Mag said.
“Well, than what do you want?”
“Joe claimed that you were ‘all over him’ that night of the rape…is this true?” Jinny asked.
“Of-course not! How could you even think that?! You actually think I would ‘be all over’ my mom’s boyfriend?!” she slouched back. “please tell me your kidding…”

**Meanwhile, Nate is sitting in the waiting room of the hospital waiting for news on CD. He decided that he wouldn’t call anyone to explain what had happened until he knew for sure what was going on…”

“DeLorenzo?” a doctor asked as he walked into the waiting room.
Nate nodded and walked over to the doctor. “She okay?"
The doctor looked at Nate, “are you the father?”
Nate shook his head “No, I’m just a friend.”
"Oh, well I'd like to give the father the news first if you don't mind..."
"Well that's gonna be kinda hard considering there is no father as of now so why don't you just stop stalling and tell me what's going on with my partner." he said rudely.
The doctor took a breath, "She lost the baby..."

**Nate didn’t want to bother any of the others yet…besides, he wanted to see CD by himself first.**

“Can you show me where room 387 is?” Nate asked a Nurse in the hallway.
The Nurse pointed to the right, “go straight down that hallway, make a left, it’ll be the first door on your right.”
“Thanks…” said Nate as he headed towards CD’s room.
He had finally reached the roomed marked ‘387’. Slowly, he opened the door.
“Hey,” he said as he walked over to the bed and sat down on the edge.
“Hi…” answered CD.
They both sat there silently for about 20 seconds.
“I’m assuming the doctor already told you…”
Nate nodded and looked down “Yea…” he paused “you okay?”
CD didn’t reply at first, but then she took a deep breath and began to speak softly and slowly. “you know, at first I didn’t even want to have this baby…I mean I figured all it would do was interfere with my job, prevent me from having a life.” she paused “But then I started thinking about it and..” her voice started to get a little bit shaky. “I realized… I was gonna have a baby.” a tear rolled down her cheek “I’d get to see it take its first steps, go to the first day of kindergarten…and I figured out that this is what my life has been missing all along…“ she shook her head “not a husband, or a big fancy house, or anything like that…my life has been missing a child.” she wiped her eyes “But now, it’s suddenly all over. Just like that.” she paused as another tear rolled down her cheek. “ I guess this is all just a sign that it wasn’t meant to be, you know?”
“CD don’t say that…” Nate said
“Being with the SFPD for 15 years now, I’ve managed to take a lot of people’s lives.
but all of the sympathy I felt for all of those people combined can’t even amount to half of what I feel right now.”
Nate moved closer to CD and hugged her and let her cry…it was all he felt he could do.
