Edison 11-22-2016, 10:22 PM Learned what had happened to President Kennedy from my favorite teacher of all-time. I can still see the look on Mr. Stieler's face as he walked into 8th grade History class.

treky 11-23-2016, 01:27 AM I remember that day, I was 6 years old and in first grade. I remember our first grade nun was teaching us something when someone from the 8th grade came down and told her something. Then the nun turned and told all of us.

I was about 6 but have no memory of JFK but like you Bonniegirl I do remember Bobby's death. We got the Boston Herald newspaper, and if I remember the paper came twice a day. A morning and evening paper and I saw on the front page Bobby's head and body in lain position and i told my parents, I hope he doesn't die. Sadly Bobby died. I believe I cried. I thought as a little girl, why do people kill.

I didn't forget and I don't think most people have forgotten who killed Bobby!:( As a little girl, I thought, wow the person who killed him sure has a funny (as in strange/weird ) name! ?
Regulus 11-27-2016, 11:29 PM Here's one for the "weird" department. I remember my fourth birthday (August 19, 1963) but I don't remember the Kennedy Assassination.
But one this is for certain, On 11/22/1963
SH:cuss:T Happened in Dallas Texas!

the sad thing is, I read that if Bobby Kennedy was assassinated today he could have been saved.
OH Nuts! 11-28-2016, 10:43 AM I remember snippets of the day. I was in 3rd grade and I rememberour school dismissed us and bits and pieces from the procession. One wired think: I remember John-John saluting. What a horrible tragic event.
Janice 11-28-2016, 08:14 PM I was five. I remember my mother and grandmother crying. I didn't quite understand it all, but I knew it was a huge deal. Those pictures are hard to look at. They look so alive and have no idea what's going to happen. So tragic.
mets82 11-29-2016, 01:19 AM Btw, if you go on YouTube I think you can see the Assassination as it happened.
