Happy Days - In Season 1, one of the kids was named Chuck. Then suddenly Chuck never existed.

In the One Day at a Time pilot, Schneider is living downstairs with his (unseen) wife. After that, it's established he had been married for a week and divorced sometime in the past.

On Dark Shadows the history of the Collins family changed after Barnabas was introduced.

Golden Girls was bad about lack of continutity, especially concerning the number of children each of the women and some other details.

Yeah, I think TV Radar was more like the movie Radar. Henry's wife was originally Mildred, then changed to Lorraine because they thought ot sounded sexier. Potter's wife, of course, then becomes Mildred. Psychiatrist was originally Milton Friedman, but that got changed to Sidney Friedman when the economist Milton Friedman got famous.

Oh, and I think some of the nurse's names changed quite often.

I believe they used the same three names for most of the nurses, Able, Baker, & Charlie. An in joke for the army as these are, I think, common code names.

I can think of a couple off the top of my head. But it happens all the time.

Frasier. In an early episode of Frasier, Frasier and Niles have a fight over something silly (as usual) and end up not speaking to each other. And finally Martin's had enough of the two of them. He gives them a lecture and says he never had a brother but if he did he'd never act the way towards him that Frasier and Niles do with each other. It's basically made to sound like Martin is an only child. Then suddenly in a later season Martin has a brother in one episode married to a Greek woman, played by guest star Patty LuPone. They have a son who's getting married and the Greek aunt is very concerned Frasier will say something to his cousin to mess things up. After that one episode, Martin's brother, the wife, and their son are never mentioned again. Like they don't exist.

The King Of Queens. In the first couple of episodes Carrie has a sister and then suddenly she's gone never to be heard from or seen again. And it's later established that Carrie is now an only child.
