Ok this is an idea that Emma (TeddyIsMine) gave to me because in the mist of doing all my boring papers and hwk I could not think straight......basically a Jinny and Theodore story later on...hehe i have about more then 5 pages so far written


The loud banging on her door and constant yell of "Jinny....Jinny Girl" woke Jinny Exstead up. She slowly moved and wiped the sleep out of her eyes.

Jinny: Yah dad, I heard you *mumbles* the first hundred bangs on the door

John Sr: Hey Jinny Girl, you might want to look at the forecast it seems like we are going to have heavy showers tonight

Jinny: uhuh thanks...

About a half hour later Jinny came downstairs to wiff the smell of burnt eggs in the air. Jinny had to laugh to herself because of her fathers attempts at trying to cook something that was actually edible

Jinny: *looks at the two burnt eggs on her plate* Wow dad impressive, but because I am running late so I think I will have to pass on the eggs

John Sr: What does a man have to do around here to have his daughter sit and eat with him?

Jinny: Not burn eggs....Dad I love you, but I honestly have to go, you can try and make dinner or be safe and order a pizza for dinner. I will see you tonight

John Sr: Okay, bye Jinny Girl see you tonight

**At the Division**

Jinny sits at her desk and a couple minuets later sees Magda coming in with Starbucks coffee and she gives on to Nate and CD

C.D.: Thanks Magda, I didn’t realize we were getting the good stuff today

Nate: Thanks

Magda: Your Welcome, I was dropping off Ben at his school and the new Starbucks had opened and I wanted to try it, so do not think that this is an every day occurrence.

Jinny: Hey Mag, where’s mine?

Magda: Jinny… a little patience please, you’ll get yours

Jinny: O yes, mommy

Magda: So, what do we have on our case today?

Jinny: A child abuse one- George Bennet, 43, accused of beating his step-son regularly and hitting with different objects. Not only is there physical abuse, but seems like there is mental abuse as well. The son, Garret is 14 and has a case of mental retardation and when he does something “wrong” or not perfect George gets a little angry and beats him. The Mother is in complete denial and the reports came from the older brother, 17, Matthew. Matthew walked in on George beating Garret one night and although George threatened him, he reported what he witnessed. There are bruise marks on Garret but both of the parents claim that Garret has a tendency to bruise easily and to make things more complicated it was written down by a doctor too...but get this George has a past of violence and had to take anger management classes after a small incident 6 years ago

Magda: I always hate child abuse cases, who do these parents, think they are for doing that?

Jinny: I don’t know Mag; there are just some really sick people in this world

*Just then Captain McCafferty stepped out of her office*

Captain: Exstead, Ramirez… my office

5 pages all ready! Jeez I thought I could really get on a roll sometimes!!
I've got a fic, That I've been working on for a while(A long while,since last season finale infact) that is now 9 pages long.
I started on it last season,and got stuck, I finally just rewrote the whole thing,got on a roll,and did 3 pages in about 30 minutes.

ok I rambleing again,sorry:o :D :rolleyes:

here is just a little more:

*Inside of Captains office*

Captain: So where do you think you guys are going to go with this case?

Jinny: Talk to the mother, she will be most likely to crack first

Captain: The thing is, she claims to have no idea of what is going on with her husband and believes that her son maybe just doing this to get some attention, is that really the best approach with this case?

Jinny: All I am saying is that—

Captain: I know what you are trying to say but it does not seem like the route to go

Jinny: What if she is withholding information, and she knows something more, but may have been threatened to keep her mouth shut

Captain: mmm uhuh, well Magda what do you think?

Magda: Possibly talk to the oldest son again and then ask a couple questions to Garret. Even though he has issues, he would not be completely obvious to what was happening. Then bring the step-father down here, but I agree with Jinny, at some point in time try and crack the mother and see if she was every abused as well

Captain: Sounds good, well get to it.

**They leave the office**

Magda: So what does the address say?

Jinny: It says 26 Mahoney Ave.

Magda: I have no idea where that is, how about you?

Jinny: O yah, my first high school b/f lived in that neighborhood, I was a freshman, and he was a senior and quite a good body if I do say so I…and I would know from pervious experience with him too.

Magda: JINNY!

Jinny: But actually, we won’t need to go to the house right away because it is still early in the morning and Matthew would be in school still. So I figure we swing by the school and talk to him.

Magda: Good Point, what high school did you go to again?

Jinny: Joseph Patrick Kennedy High School never thought I would have to see that place again, I wonder if they named the detention center after me yet?

Magda: *laughs* Oh gezze Jinny, come on let’s go

**In the Car**

Magda: So are you ready to relive your high school days?

Jinny: Mag- those were the years of my life I choose to forget, and possibly the reasons why I never attended any of the reunions which reminds me I have to decline one when I get home

Magda: You know, you should really go to one, just too see what it is like and see how everyone turned out, it can be quite amusing

Jinny: O yah sounds like barrels of fun, well we are here…

*In the Principles office*
Magda: *to secretary* Hi, I am Inspector Ramirez and this is my partner Inspector Exstead we would like to speak to the principal

Secretary: Please have a seat, I believe she is just getting out of a meeting let me go find her for you. This should only take a moment

Jinny: Oh wow, this place looks all too familiar

Magda: *mock voice* Jinny Exstead…do you mean you actually spent time in here?

Jinny: Well I wouldn’t, if you were with me

Magda: Jinny shut up

**A couple minuets later**

Secretary: Inspectors, this is the schools principal, Dr. McIntosh

Magda: Inspectors Ramirez and Inspector Exstead

Dr. McIntosh: Nice to meet you, Inspector Exstead do you have any relatives that attending here, the name seems very familiar…

Jinny: Yes, I did, as well as my brothers John and Casey

Dr. McIntosh: Well how about that, after make enough trouble you decided to fight crime, well good for you

Jinny: Yah, well anyways we are here to speak to one of your students, Matthew Hershaw, he is not in type of trouble, and we just have a few questions for him

Dr. McIntosh: O sure, I will get him promptly

Magda: Oooo please Jin, do tell what kind of trouble you got into…besides with boys…

Jinny: It was nothing just some juvenile things

**Just then Matthew enters with the principal, Jinny sighs because she doesn’t have to get into anything about her childhood, that she knows Magda could blackmail her with**

Dr. McIntosh: Well Inspectors if there is anything I could do please say so

Magda: if it’s not too much trouble, could we have a privet room

Dr. McIntosh: Sure, right this way *leads them into a small office*

Jinny: Well Matthew, we just want to go over some things in your statement and not to worry you are not in any sort of trouble, we are just at a tough position


Matt: Yah, sure good ahead

Jinny: Did you see your step-dad directly hitting your brother in anger?

Matt: Yah, I jumped on top of him to get him off of Garret

Jinny: has this been a more then of a one time occurrence?

Matt: I think so, I mean I walked in on that one time, and I talked to Garret after and he showed me a bunch of bruises he had on his back and he told me that they were from George

Magda: Has there been more, like verbal abuse?

Matt: Yah, often times when my mother is not around he calls him names like ****** and idiot…

Jinny: Thank you, you have clarified everything we will be in contact and I advise you to not let George be alone with your brother

Matt: Thank you inspectors, but please try and hurry for my brothers sake

wow...i didnt expect anyone to reply cuz its not very interesting, i have some break in between my math project and other stuff i am going to do, so here is a little more that I wrote last night



**Back at the Division**

Jinny and Magda spend the rest of the afternoon working on the case, thinking of anyways they could get the father in on the evidence they have. They also plan out a tactic on how to get the mother to crack and say everything she knows. They filled in Captain on everything that was going on in their case, and tomorrow she would give them the green light to talk to Garret. By the time their shift is over, the rain is coming down very hard and at certain moments almost down pouring.

Jinny: Okay, if we are done for the day I say that we should be heading out to our families

Magda: Jinny, I will be calling you later on this evening about wedding plans, so do not be tying up the phone lines

Jinny: Oh right, because I will be calling my numerous boyfriends and talking all night with them…

Magda: Jin- you know what I am talking about though, and stopping making jokes, its going to be one of the biggest days of my life and I want it to be magical

Jinny: *laughing*

Magda: You know what? Forget it Jin *lightly hits her* I will get captain to be my maid of honor

Jinny: What a shame, you know how much I wanted to wear that dress too

Magda: STOP! *trying not to crack a smile* you know what, you are hopeless

Because the weather Jinny is taking a different route home, but the visibility has getting lower and lower as she gets further and further away from the Division. More then once she has had to make a quick turn. She is going a little too fast when she realiezed a car in front of her was stalled, she slammed on her breaks trying to stop, but because of the weather conditions her car spins out of control and into a large pole on the side of the highway. Her head slams against the window, and then slams down onto the steering wheel. She becomes unconscious and has a deep cut into her forehead.

**A couple hours later**

Magda: Hello John, is Jinny there? She is not picking up on her cell phone

John Sr: Hello Magda, I was beginning to worry about her because she has not arrived home from work yet, and she would have told me if she was going to be later

Magda: She is most likely stalled in traffic, but if she does not arrive home anytime soon please call me, thank you.


**Back to jinny**

Some very kind young man who is appeared to be in his late 50's or so, had pulled over to the side of the road and called 911 on his cell phone. The ambulence comes a short while later and at this point Jinny's face is covered somewhat with blood. She is taken to the St. Benedicts Hospital where she is identified as Jinny Exstead around 8:30 pm John Sr. Exstead gets a very distrubing call


John Sr.: Yes, hello, Jinny is my daughter......what the he_x_ (get it he double hockey sticks?) mean she was an accident? Yes, thank you I will be down there in a minuet

John Sr.'s next reaction was to go through the phone book and call Magda and to let her know what happened.

Magda: Hello Magda speaking how may I help you?

John Sr.: Hey Magda there has been accident, and Jinny was involved, she is know at the St. Benedicts Hospital

Magda: *on the verge of crying* Thanks John, I will be right there

Ben: Mommy what is wrong?

Magda: I have to go to the hospital to see a friend, I am going to drop you off at your grandmothers house because Gabe is out of town

**About a half hour later Magda arrives to the hospital and she sees John Sr. and ask any news..**


John: Doctors say she is in surgury, but she lost a great deal of blood and how her brain will be effected only time will tell...

Magda: O wow, I think I should call Captain and the others

John: Yah, Casey and John will be here as soon as their shifts are over

Magda: *on phone* Hey Capt, theres been an accident..

Teddy: Magda, hey why are you calling...its alright....what kind of an accident? is Jinny alright? Where are you...okay thanks I will be there as soon as possible

After another hour of sitting and waiting and thinking about what could be taking the doctors so long, Dr. Carter comes out and says, "Are you all here for Exstead?"

All: Yes!

Dr. Carter(hmmm dont yah just love that name?): Well Ms. Exstead is all through from sugury, she is being transfered to her own room, she has not yet woken up, but she should be in the near future. Because she injured her head, we are not sure what will be effected and what perment damage there will be, I will be back in less then a half hour to let you know that she has woken up.

Captain: Thank you doctor

Teddy: Oh G-d she better be alright, I love her so much-- *does not realize what he is saying...**

Magda Just gives him a weird look and her jaw drops knowing that there is a chance for the two to work out their differences

John Sr.: my only daughter, she has gone through too much already, why does it always happen to her?

Captain: John, Jinny is too strong to let an accident get her way, she is a fighter and one of the strongest people I know, she is going to be alright

Casey: Dad, listen to Captain, she is going to be alright, she always was alright without the help of anyone and she may need help now, so we need to be strong for her

**about 20 minuets later Dr. Carter comes out**

Dr. Carter: We have just finished tests, and Jinny appears to be in normal condition except for a slight concussion and the fact she...

Teddy *mutters to himself*: thank g-d shes alright

Magda*hearing this pats teddy on the knee*: Shes going be back to her normal self in no time

**Dr. Carter returns**

Dr. Carter: Two at a time may now visit her, the room number is 402 and take a left once you reach the double doors

John Sr.: John Jr. do you want to see her?

John Jr: *almost whispers* no..

John Sr: alright, come on Casey, we will go first

*they both enter the room*

John Sr: Hey Jinny Girl, how are you doin'?

Jinny: Gee dad, I do not know, I'd say just peachy except for the fact I cant walk..

John Sr: good point..uhh so

Casey: so...umm...when'd they say let you out?

Jinny: Tommorow...they want to finish testing tonight

Casey: You are going be alright and no matter what I and Dad are here for you and we love you..

Jinny: Thanks Cas, I love you guys too *hugs them*
*They see Magda and they let her enter...*

Jinny sighs to her self, not even sure if she wants to hear this speech coming from Magda, sure she loved Magda, but sometimes it got to a certain point where she couldnt stand her lecturing..

Jinny: Hey Mag

Mag: How are you feeling...?

Jinny: gee Mag..so wonderful, I feel like going out for a light jog to get this pounding feeling out of my head--oh weight...I cant do that now can I?

Mag: well then..you will be staying with me for a few weeks

Jinny: No, I am fully capble of taking care of myself

Mag: Right Jin-- feel better, I love you, everything is going to be alright, it always is--I will be back tomorrow to pick you up

Jin: I really apperciate it, but--

Mag: see you tomorrow......

we had last day of finals today...and tomorrow we just go into get our grades...we got awards today too..(yah me...got an atheletic award...heh) but we dont start until after labor day, unlike most schools not in MA... well here is a little more...im going to play some more bball....I really did a bad job with this fic, but its alright--Im truley a better writer than Im portraying here...heres a quick scene with Jin/Teddy (always time for a quicky)

Out of nowhere Theodore popped out from behind the door with a face of worry-struckness(i enjoy making up words) Jinny briefly thought to her self "Wtf is he doing here?....why did Mag have to call him, I really dont want to let him see me like this..." and with that thought Jinny let out a heavy sigh and said a somewhat sarcastic "Hello Theodore, pleasant surprise..." Teddy was stumbling on his words and obviously was very scared when he first got the call from Magda, that he was still in shock over what happened, yet somehow managed to get out, "Hey Jin". Jinny gave him a weird look and remarked, "Hey Jin...hey Jin...you come here to see me, whom is not even a "friend" and thats all that you can muster out?" Teddy retorted with, "What am I supposed to say, that I still love you as much as I did the first day which I layed my eyes on you? I am sorry for rejecting you after you tore my heart to pieces and now willing to be your "so-called friend"?" With those words Jinny began to choke up with tears because Teddy was the only guy she had a special bond with and could actually see herself with. Although Teddy was not through with his speech and continuing on,"....Jinny...I love you...I wish we could do things over, you made mistakes and I made mistakes by not forgiving you, I told you that I loved you before and not matter how hard I try I can not seem to think of anything but you, from the day I turned you down in the coffee shop I was kicking myself, you are such an amazing person and I am so proud of you and everything that you have overcome...Jinny please forgive me not giving you another chance, I forgave you a long time ago, but I would never forgive myself if I never got the chance to see what could happen between us...you are the one that I want to be with...I love you and always will love you..................."

With those words Jinny felt tears escaping her eyes but something was different--Jinny was smiling and these tears that she shed were not of sadness, but of happiness, Jinny attempted to speak once but Theodore hushed her and held her in his arms until she calmed down and after spending a good amount of time with Jinny he said his final "I love you" and let C.D. enter.

C.D. whispered a quiet hello and gently asked how Jinny was doing. After a few minuets of small talk Jinny broke it up by saying, "C.D. I am sorry." C.D. looked at Jinny and replied, "Jinny, what are you talking about, sorry for what?" "I am sorry for what happened last year and for the things that I said at the intervention, I've been thinking about and those things were hurtful..." C.D. was smiling half shocked at what Jinny was saying and was going to let Jinny know it, "Jinny Exstead--is that a little sensitivity I see?" Jinny light-heartedly replied with, "Well, I told you I could coddle.." C.D. rebukes with, "Well that must have been a side-affect from the medication b/c you just went a minuet without a sarcastic comment...up until that remark.." Both C.D. and Jinny smiled although they gave each other a hard time at work they enjoyed making sarcastic remarks at one and other. They continued on for a little longer, but then C.D. dismissed her self and allowed Captain to come and visit her next.

As Captain entered Jinnys room she nodded at the Captain and said a quiet, "hello." Given their pasts with each other they did not really know how to interact with each other in situations such as this one. Jinny had a little smile, more of a smirk and responded,"Life never gets easier huh? When things are going well, something happens and you just start going down hill again, I am not going to be drinking anytime soon, but life is harsh, one event after the other, and at certain points it gets worse even when you dont think it can..but sometimes it gets to the point where you ask your self...why am I living? what purpose do I serve?...and those questions I am still trying to figure out..." Captain was somewhat in awe at what she heard from Jinny but responded anyways,"Jinny, you arent you mother, you have a hell of a lot of people who care a great deal about you and what happens with your life, sure a lot of crap happens but eventually it gets easier, and from what I heard you have found a man that loves you for you, and I know you have a family who cares about you, and a lot of collegues that respect and admire you. Dont ever doubt your self, and I am always here for you as your captain...or even as your fff-riend." After this visit from the Captain, Jinny had more respect for this woman then ever before, this didnt mean she wasnt still going piss her off, but now she had a lot of respect in the captain.

After having surgury and entertaining everyone, for what seemed like an enternity, made Jinny exhausted and quickly found herself in a deep slumber. When she awoke she was startled to find a sleeping Theodore in the chair by the window. She smiled to herself, she was lucky that she found someone like Teddy who was not going give up on her so easily. She did not want to jinx it but she finally thought that Teddy could be the one. Jinny did not have much time to smile and ponder about what could happen when she heard Teddy's voice, "Penny for your thoughts?" Jinny looked at him and responded, "You...." Teddy was taken back by her very frank response and replyed, "Me?...tell me...what about me?" Jinny calmly spoke, "well counslar...."
