But the reason they've faded into obscurity is essentially because Nickelodeon was the only channel to provide them with a mainstream outlet for their projects and they decided to server their ties with Klasky-Csupo after the program you listed ceased production (due to a change in taste and direction).

I should mention, Arlene Klasky has said she's more than willing to produce more Rugrats episodes if Nickelodeon orders them.

I knew about Klasky-Csupo because I watched Rugrats and I was amazed that Klasky-Csupo's cartoons were drawn so great. And another cool fact about Klasky-Csupo was that not only did they create Rugrats Klasky-Csupo also did the famous ABC Edith Ann Specials as well. When I first saw Klasky-Csupo cartoons I was shocked at what a unique look that no other cartoons had that you cannot find in many of today's animated cartoons this century

Yes they were trademarked in 1982 (and working out of an apartment) but back then they only produced small tv station bumpers and commercials. Also text for film trailers. They didnt have their major breakthrough until 1987 for the Tracey Ullman show.
