Calm theme song..calm countryside atmosphere, relaxed cast.
This show was perfect for Monday night when people are relaxing from starting the week off. Couldn't work as well on a Wednesday night, although the writing was quite underrated. It might have worked but Monday night was magic with Newhart. I'm really just in tears writing this, actually. It was a beautiful show.
Newhart was one of the most underrated shows on television in history...along with Perfect Strangers and Dear John.
