IllinoisTVFan 03-03-2016, 09:18 PM My last long time vacation with my family was in 1986 when I was 15 and we went west. We went through several states but to me the prettiest were New Mexico and Colorado. In fact in 2003 I was checking into Ph.D programs and checked into University of New Mexico and that was where I was hoping to go. As it turns out not long after I got my MA I received a job offer and gave up on getting a Ph.D so I never went.

I know!!!! I've never been there! But everyone I know who has loves it!! That is on my bucket list of places to go!! ;)
Bonniegirl 03-04-2016, 03:30 PM I have visited lots of states:
Vermont, Massachusetts, Connecticut, Georgia, Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Arizona, Texas, Colorado and New Jersey.
Actually, I had the most fun on one of my visits to New Jersey at Atlantic City. I loved the hotels, the casinos and the boat shaped mall at the boardwalk. I also saw Earth, Wind & Fire live in concert on that trip. It was definitely my favorite trip.
So my vote goes to Atlantic City, New Jersey! :)
I had many fun times in Jersey!!! Esp. summers at the Jersey shore as a child and teenager!!! :)

MrCleveland 03-04-2016, 03:52 PM I don't travel much, but I do love Maryland.
I was there four years ago while on a trip to Washington D.C.. I hope to revisit that area someday.
I decided to go with Minnesota. We flew there, pretty much spur of the moment, in the dead of winter, for the wackiest of reasons, and ended up at a Minnesota North Stars hockey game, which is my favorite sport.
Family Ties Forever! 03-05-2016, 06:38 PM Massachusetts. My best friend lives there. :D
Schmoopie 03-12-2016, 03:30 AM Besides Washington (which I visited with my then-fiance in 1995 and then we moved here in 1996), I'd say Oregon and Maine.
TVFactFan 03-12-2016, 10:37 PM Maryland because of their reputation for seafood:wave:
It's a toss-up between the mountains of North Carolina (Asheville & Maggie Valley area) & the Florida eastern coast (Daytona Beach, New Smyrna Beach area). Both states were pretty cool.

Hawkee 09-14-2018, 03:28 AM Of all the states I have visited in my travels I would have to say that Minnesota was my favorite state because it was really beautiful and the people are so friendly to you. Next is Arizona because it is so fantastic and the desert is so great but hot and it's always so nice to see what a great state Arizona is. Georgia I also liked because it's so wonderful and the people are so cool

I guess the first time I answered legitimately about states we actually visted.
This time I went with the joke (although once we may have driven through Delaware on the way to or from somewhere, but I know I never spent any time there visiting).
Penny Lane 09-14-2018, 09:03 PM Massachusetts. Salem is awesome!
Penny Lane 09-14-2018, 09:11 PM If you want to experience heaven Michigan's Upper Peninsula is the place to go. The "Yoopers" call it God's Zip Code. :)
Maine of course!
Very scenic and not to mention extremely costal as well.
