For months Netflix (http://observer.com/2016/02/netflixs-nostalgic-fuller-house-is-corny-contrived-and-not-worth-a-binge/) and the cast of the ‘90s show “Full House” have been endlessly promoting the reboot of the fan-favorite (https://www.yahoo.com/tv/review-fuller-house-may-please-fans-no-one-130737835.html) series, “Fuller House.” (http://forums.previously.tv/forum/673-fuller-house/)On

The critics didn't like the original Full House so who cares what they think. All that matters is the fans. Most of the critics didn't like any of the TGIF sitcoms.

:yeahthat

I honestly didn't expect the critics to like it. Who really cares what they think anyways?!

Considering their general reaction when this show was announced, this should surprise nobody.

It appears extremely absolutely obnoxious to me. Seems like the actors are trying to imitate a parody of themselves or something, as opposed to being true to their characters. Very poor acting, writing, directing and even lighting. The entire production is very badly executed. Good idea, but poorly executed. Gonna take a lot to fix it...

I've only seen the first one so far and I think DJ, Stephanie and Kimmy Gibbler are just fine. It's the men (mainly Bob Saget) that I'm not feeling it from. I guess maybe it's a good thing they're only guest stars, lol. There were some cringe worthy moments in the episode, which was expected but it was perhaps more cringe worthy than I thought. For me anyway.

Most fans can't see past the sappy nostalgia. I give it 2-3, maybe 4 or 5 episodes until that all disappears. It won't last past 1 season...next sequel is going to be "Empty House"....

I just watched the second episode and it was a lot better. I think they picked some good kid actors, too.

The pilot was like a reunion ep to catch the viewers up on their lives and relive the past, but ep 2 feels more like a new series than reunion. I like it a lot.

so far (2 episodes in) the writing is a little bit more PG to PG 13 while most of full House (minus a handful of episodes) was on the G to PG scale

gonna watch 1 more and crash, finish the season this weekend lol

I friggin hate Netflix for releasing it all at once, they should drop like 2-3 episodes a week for 8-13 weeks and have 25 episode seasons

Full House when it first premiered on ABC in 1987 was written off as schmaltzy crap. If I'm not mistaken,a review in TV Guide or something that called it ABC's worst new show of that fall season.

Call me an old fuddy duddy but I have NO IDEA how Netflix works. Did they stream the whole Fuller House series already? How many episodes is that?

You know what? I am tired of the critics always knocking reboots. Girl Meets World, The Muppets, The Gilmore Girls and now Full House. You want to know why fans get excited for reboots? Because they enjoyed those shows and most of what is on TV now sucks.

I'm glad Fuller House (or the original Full House) doesn't air on CBS. Any new show on CBS with overwhelmingly negative reviews will usually get cancelled after one season.

Hopefully the reviews for Fuller House get better in the coming years.

“How f*cking rude,” Stamos said as he listened to and read some of the meanest reviews. Stamos actually was a good sport about the negative comments. PLUS: Stamos has watched the Full House porn parody (http://mashable.com/2016/03/04/john-stamos-fuller-house-porn/).

It be kind of hard to watch 13 episodes at the same time, unless you have 13 tv's or 13 picture in picture screens.

Surprised Fuller House is edgier considering how religious Candace Cameron Bure is.

It was inevitable that the Full House Reviewed (https://therealfullhousereviewed.wordpress.com/) blog would take on the sequel series:
May 2016 (https://therealfullhousereviewed.wordpress.com/2016/05/)

April 2016 (https://therealfullhousereviewed.wordpress.com/2016/04/)

Fuller House (2016 to present)
Twenty years after Full House went off the air, creator Jeff Franklin got the bright idea to make a sequel. However, rather than create something unique and original, Fuller House basically rehashed the same idea. Since critics loathe nothing more than reviewing something they've already seen, they were none too pleased, and the reviews (http://www.thewrap.com/fuller-house-netflix-7-worst-terrible-reviews-critics/) didn't hold back at all. The critique that best summarizes their scorn is the one written by The Philadelphia Inquirer's Molly Eichel: "There's no reason for [the show] to exist." Fans disagreed, and Netflix renewed the show for a second season four days after the premiere. Critics will have their hands full with that one.

I actually love this show...I know Full House wasn't popular by the critics, but Fuller House is by far MORE entertaining than the other new shows on TV right now!

25. FULLER HOUSE

Comedy can be divisive, and it’s no coincidence this list opened with three of Netflix’s attempts at lighter fare. In addition to a Curb Your Enthusiasm imitation and a quasi spin-off of That ’70s Show, the media moguls at Netflix also revived Full House in all its glory. Say what you will about the reunion. Longtime fans of the early 90’s classic stuck with Fuller House even when their best judgment suggested otherwise. As a result, their commitment and overbearing nostalgia fueled a second upcoming season due on your flat-screen this fall.

Almost all of the catchphrases and characters are back and underscored by a ravenous laugh-track of Full House devotees. Of course, both Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen are palpably absent. As fixtures of the sitcom’s stardom, the twins are sorely missed on the show. Still, Fuller House attempts to revive its signature style of family-friendly writing without adapting to the times. Returning home evokes the child in all of us, yet with Fuller House, some of the performances are so eager they almost appear sociopathic. The cast may now be twenty years older, but they remain relatively devoid of any life experience that might make them real. Call it Full House meets The Stepford Wives.
