Netflix has officially booked its trip back to Stars Hollow.

The streaming service on Friday at long last confirmed that it is resurrecting "Gilmore Girls", with series stars Lauren Graham, Alexis Bledel, Scott Patterson and Kelly Bishop signed on to reprise their respective roles as Lorelai, Rory, Luke and Emily.

Other returning vets include Sean Gunn (Kirk) and Keiko Agena (Lane).





We have learned that the four-part revival — tentatively titled "Gilmore Girls: Seasons" — begins filming Feb. 2 in Los Angeles.

Creator Amy Sherman-Palladino and executive producer Daniel Palladino will write and direct all of the episodes which will consist of four 90-minute installments.

Each installment will represent a different season (winter, spring, etc.) over the course of one calendar year. The new series is set in the present day, approximately eight years after "Gilmore Girls" reached its too-soon conclusion on The CW.

Melissa McCarthy, who played Sookie St. James on the family drama for seven seasons, tweeted on Tuesday that she has not been asked to appear in the revival series despite a recent report to the contrary.

"Thanks for the invite, but sadly no one asked me to come back to Stars Hollow. Wish them all the best!!"



Confirmed returning castmembers include Lauren Graham, Alexis Bledel, Scott Patterson, Kelly Bishop, Sean Gunn, Keiko Agena and Yanic Truesdale.

There is no premiere date set for the revival, which started production Tuesday.

Sutton Foster Set for "Gilmore Girls" Revival

TVLine has learned exclusively that Sutton Foster — who headlined "Gilmore" creator Amy Sherman-Palladino’s late, great, painfully short-lived ABC Family dramedy "Bunheads" — will have a role in the upcoming Netflix continuation.

What’s not known is if Foster will be playing her "Bunheads" character Michelle or a new role. Foster is the first confirmed member of the revival’s cast who was not a part of the original series.

"Supernatural" star Jared Padalecki, who played Dean on "Gilmore Girls", will be returning for Netflix's revival, our sister site Variety reports.

David Sutcliffe, who played Rory's father Chris, will also return.



Padalecki's return means that Rory will meet all three of her exes.

There is no word regarding Chad Michael Murray reprising his role as Rory's high school crush Tristan.

I can’t believe the Yale Daily News didn’t break this.

Sources confirm to me exclusively that Danny Strong has closed a deal to reprise his role as Paris’ longtime love Doyle in Netflix’s "Gilmore Girls" revival.



His casting would seem to suggest that Paris (Liza Weil) and Doyle are still together when the action picks up nearly a decade later.

Strong currently serves as an executive producer on Fox’s" Empire".

TVLine has learned exclusively that Lorelai’s idiosyncratic canine companion, Paul Anka, will be returning for Netflix’s four-part continuation.

Lorelai adopted Paul Anka in Season 6 to help fill the Rory-sized void in her life. He remained by Lorelai’s side through the show’s seventh and final season.

The latest "Gilmore Girls" alums who've signed on for Netflix's upcoming revival are "True Blood" vet Todd Lowe, who played Zach Van Gerbig, and Liz Torres, who played dance instructor Miss Patty, TVGuide.com has confirmed.

We last saw Zach when he was getting ready to head out on the road with his latest band, leaving his wife Lane (Keiko Agena) and their twin sons at home. Agena will also be back for the revival, though whether Zach and Lane are still married remains to be seen.

Miss Patty's return ought to quell fears from fans who speculated that Sutton Foster's unknown new role will replace the dance maven. So, can we now get a dance-off?

Another "Bunheads" star is headed to Stars Hollow! Following Sutton Foster’s appearance in Netflix’s upcoming "Gilmore Girls" revival, EW has confirmed that Stacey Oristano — best known as Truly on "Bunheads" — will also appear.

There’s no word yet on Oristano’s character or whether she could interact with Foster, but Oristano is a very vocal fan of "Gilmore Girls", even appearing on the Gilmore Guys podcast numerous times.

Its not that so much it was off the air for 10 years there was a lot of unanswered questions when the series ended. The series was supposed to go at least 8 seasons but was cancelled after 7. The revival is mostly for fans such as myself closure of the series and give Amy Sherman-Palladino the send off she wanted to create.

As we wait on pins and needles for Gilmore Girls: Seasons to finally premiere on Netflix, we can't help but obsess over all of the clues that are coming out of Stars Hollow that offer a peek what may or may not happen. I was a big Rory-Dean supporter but I can see where that probably wouldn't be a good plan for her. I'm still anti-Jess so whomever Guy C is I'm in favor of.

I was pro Dean but watching reruns, Dean is way to possessive of Rory. I mean he's always smothering her, calling her, it's annoying.

Don't forgot sleeping with her when he was still married to Lindsay. I would say Logan is probably her best suitor or none of the above. I just can't stand Jess never have. Seems like he's a runner which he has done time after time again. I wouldn't trust him at all.

I liked Jess when he finally grew up and wrote a book. One thing that pissed me off about him is that obviously he liked Rory. Have a set of stones and admit that. No, he outbid Dean to get Rory's basket, he brought food over to Rory's under the disguise that Luke said to bring it etc. I mean he's so tough with his mouth to Luke and Loerlai yet doesn't have the guts to tell Rory he likes her.

In an unexpected turn of events, it appears that literally everything we thought we knew about the Netflix revival Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life could potentially be a fraud. “They shot red-herring scenes. The shot stuff that isn’t going to make it, as a misdirect in case of leaks. Whole scenes or ending of scenes…there are very select people that know the whole story.

I'm not surprised by this. Kind of makes us true fans of GG wonder what ASP has up her sleeve. I can't wait!!!

"Gilmore Girls" Netflix Revival Gets Premiere Date, First Promo

Time to make the coffee: Netflix's highly anticipated "Gilmore Girls" revival finally has a premiere date.

The four-part event will launch Nov. 25 on the streaming giant, it was announced Wednesday at the Television Critics Association's summer press tour.

Carolyn Hennesy Joins "Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life"

"General Hospital" star Carolyn Hennesy has joined Netflix’s "Gilmore Girls" revival series in a recurring role, Variety has learned exclusively. The Daytime Emmy nominated actress will play Toni, a member of The DAR (Daughters of the American Revolution).

Described as upper-crust, someone who likes to keep things orderly and does not appreciate dissension, Toni has been in the “club” for years with Emily Gilmore (Kelly Bishop).
