I have many of times. The most recent one was just a couple of minutes ago. I was watching an episode of Happy Days and the theme song came on. For some reason, the Happy Days Theme Song, makes me incredibly Nostalgic for the 1950s. When the theme song was on, I started to cry at the fact that I missed the 1950s a lot.

Did you ever get really nostalgic for the past before?

A big yes. I miss the 50's and 60's a lot. I could go into detail but it would take too long. But I do tear up some when I hear some music or see old photos.

A Lot!...

I STILL miss the 90's! Going to my grandfather's house, playing Sega, watching Nickelodeon, and in a way...going to places. Once I put in a tape of what I enjoyed during the 80's and 90's...this song creeps in...

Yeah when I watch old tv shows that my grandparents and my dad watched I get nostalgic. And some songs from the 60's and 70's make me wish I could go back and revisit the past for just a little while.

Oh all the time!!! I am all into "The good old days"!! That's why 90 percent of the TV I watch and music I listen to are over 30 years old!!!

I get so nostalgic it's pitiful. Probably why I love the classics. It takes me back to a simpler time.

Watching Muscle Beach Party with Annette Funicello And Frankie Avalon. Making me nostalgic about a time I have never experienced.

Would you mind telling me which decades make you the most nostalgic? For Mr its the 1950s and 1960s

Yes, the older that I get the more nostalgic I get! I really miss the 70's. My kids were growing up then and I was only in my 20's. What I miss most is the great music and great television during that decade. I would love to go back there for a week or two! (or more!) :)

yes, I miss the olden days of the 60s and 70s A LOT! Back when I didn't have any trouble walking, I didn't have trouble with my speech, I had friends, I used to travel every summer....

Sadly that's all just memories now....:( :(

Though I was never around the 60's, I wish I could've been a 60's child...the 90's were okay, but the 60's had better music. You can say I'm like Gallagher...

Honestly anything from the 1950s to around the year 2000. The commercials, the shows etc.

I seem to have a soft spot for 1960s music. I don't know why, but 60s music has a special feel to me.

I'm nostalgic all the time, that's how I live. My favorite TV shows are from the 60's, also some 50's and some 70's. My favorite music is from the 70's, also some 50's and some 60's, a little 80's too. As far as movies go, I like those old movies with The East Side Kids and Bowery Boys. The old Blondie movies are funny too. The Boston Blackie movies with Chester Morris are pretty good too. I also like the old movie serials from back in the day. Republic, Columbia, and Universal were the three main studios that put those out. The Columbia's are my favorites. The Phantom, Desert Hawk, Jungle Raiders, and the unjustly underrated Chick Carter Detective, just to name a few. Good stuff! :D

'Yesterday Once more" by The Carpenters is such a lovely sad song. I tear up every time that I listen to it.

^^^^For a while, I had the distinctive "BRRRRRINNNG" sound of a rotary phone ring as my cellphone ring. Never had one on the wall, we had a black one in the kitchen for, pretty much forever. Would easily use it again.

The 90s were OK at best. It had some great tv shows, but other than that, the decade pretty much sucked.

Ha, even though I was born in '85, we had a phone like this in the house for years. It was only within the past five years that my stepdad gave it away.

I think I'm more nostalgic for certain feelings and experiences I've had than a particular time period. Like I miss how great it was to ride in the back of my dad's truck when I was a kid. Digital cameras are great, but I miss the surprise of seeing what your photos look like when you get them back from the drugstore. I miss not having a TV show or a movie spoiled before I see it. I miss having long conversations with people. I miss people dressing up. I miss people being a little nicer than they use to be.

Yesterday Once More isn't bad, but The Carpenters song I prefer with "yesterday" in the title is Only Yesterday. It's actually my favorite Carpenters song.

I miss; if you missed a TV show when it was on you could wait and hope they'd re-run it and if they did that you wouldn't miss it again and if you did miss it, tough ****

Yeah you do think of the past with the people you loved and with them gone, you do feel sad. I always wish I could go back with my current mind and redo life over.

The best time in my life was the early days of my marriage. Life just seemed simpler and happier. We both were in great health, and everyone we loved was still here. I didn't know how good we had it then, but I know it now.
