One of mine is the flyover of Texas Stadium in the Dallas opening. Another is the color-changing hospital in the opening of Trapper John, M.D.

Rob Petrie sometimes tripping over the ottoman and sometimes scooting around it on "The Dick Van Dyke Show"! And Mary Richards throwing her hat in the air on "The Mary Tyler Moore Show"!

While like the AW logo, it's pales in comparison to this one...

The entire opening sequence of “Boy Meets World”’s second season.

Ray Charles singing on “Designing Women”.

Blanche sashaying down the hall on “The Golden Girls”.

The entire “Step by Step” opening used for seasons 1-5.

I enjoyed the slideshow of landmarks on the original Dallas intro, and loved how the slideshow would end perfectly in sync with the end of the first verse (with a shot of the courthouse).

For the first two seasons of T.J. Hooker, the outline of the actors' names would slide in from either side of the screen, then fill in in yellow. I always thought that was a cool effect.

Quite a few primetime soaps of the 80s had their own stylish credits: the slanted three-window setup on Dallas, the aerial of the cul-de-sac/sliding boxes on Knots Landing, the vertical lines shooting up on Dynasty, etc.

The silhouetted boxes on Charlie's Angels were also pretty cool.

These are my favorites

The Another World interlocking rings, while Bill Wolff says "And now, the continuing story of Another World."

The Doctors opening scene under which Mel Brandt announces "And now, The Doctors, (The Emmy-award winning program) dedicated to the brotherhood of healing."

The Guiding Light flowers under the theme song "Ritournelle"

I like all the scenes on the Newhart open, and the Henry Mancini theme.

I'm sure you know this, but those scenes were actually from the movie On Golden Pond. Good movie and good tv show too.

I like Fiona kicking a passed-out drunk Frank, Lip passing the cigarette to Karen, and (I think) Fiona getting porked from shameless . The whole opening sequence takes place in The Gallagher bathroom.

The full, sung opening of Two and a Half Men, especially later when they age Jake before our eyes.

there was sometimes,a slight change in the opening credits of a show during a new season then a new opening credit was changed completley think it was before a new cast member was added.

I loved the Seattle skyline with the space needle at the beginning of Frasier.

I loved the hourglass at the opening of Days of our Lives.

I love the various openings on Growing Pains with the cast pictures through the years.

I love the opening of The Golden Girls where they show a shot of Miami.

I love the opening of the Andy Griffith show where Andy and Opie are walking hand in hand to the lake.

I love the opening of Y&R with the shots of the cast as Nadia's theme plays.

I like the later openings of Roseanne when they show pictures of the cast and how they've changed and grown throughout b the years.

I love the various shots of San Francisco in the opening of Full House.

I loved the animated opening of I Dream of Jeannie.

I love the opening of the Cosby Show where they all dance throughout the seasons.

I love the opening of Dr. Quinn and the various shots of her traveling on the train and the coach to Colorado Springs.

Like: The pillow fight scene at the end of the (later-season) Jeffersons intro.

Don't like: Ted Knight flipping backward off the furniture and staring wide-eyed at everybody, at the end of the Too Close For Comfort intro.

OH Nuts!

I'd say that the lead-in for the show "Branded" where they are ripping off his buttons and breaking his sword, and the opening narrative from the Invaders, season one are my two most favorite. I enjoyed watching Chuck Connors with his modified Winchester in the opening of The Rifleman, too.

There was also a show staring Imogene Coca called "Grindl" that showed her beating on the hood of a car with her umbrella that is permanently etched in my mind.

And for whatever reason, I always thought the opening of "The Real McCoys, with that triangle was kinda cool.

Mama dusting her newspaper on “Mama’s Family”.

As she glares out at her neighbors, I love that too  It’s hard to see on most episodes since it gets covered up by the titles but she also dusts one of her pink flamingos as she walks past.

The Barnaby Jones opening is one of my favorites - I like how the puzzle pieces come together. (Nice look at Lee Meriwether too.)

I also like the colorful later opening of The Big Valley.

More likes: Nell body-slamming Addie on Gimme A Break!, and a cartoon Jeannie dancing over and kissing Major Nelson in I Dream Of Jeannie. For non-sitcom shows, the interview openers on Saturday Night's Main Event, leading into the wrestler clips to Animotion's Obsession. Also, the CBS Bugs Bunny/Roadrunner Show theme:

F-t8PngHgWY

Dislikes: Improvised dancing spots, like in The Cosby Show and the Bergeron version of Hollywood Squares; you can clearly see or imagine the discomfort from some of the stars who were forced to do that. And the hourglass opening of Day Of Our Lives. (Very eerie and creepy for a little kid.)

I didn't watch the show regularly, so I probably haven't even seen that version of the intro. But they usually struck me as cringeworthy.

Another World 1981-1987). The CGI interlocking rings, the kissing silhouettes with the block letters.

Alice. When they throw the net on Mel. That scene always stood out as a child.

Guiding Light 1986-1990. Glass letters against a blue/gold background with a flash of light coming from the 'i' transitioning to a montage then flashing back into the 'i' and the logo.
