Whenever it features them watching TV or anytime it has to do with a television (like when Arnold visits and goes in the bedroom to watch TV) :D it is always in the bedroom! I don't recall them ever watching TV in the living room? I think they only have one set and it's in the bedroom! That's strange? Esp. back in those days. A lot of people only had one set and it was always in the living room. Nowadays most people do have a couple or a few TV's and one is in the bedroom, but back in those days not so much ! I wonder why they had it like that? Was it purposely just going along with all the other general goofiness of the show?

Just a guess: in New York, it would be unlikely that they'd have a TV in the main living room where they received guests. If they did have one there, it would probably be built into an entertainment center with doors that closed to hide it when guests were over. My guess is that their TV in Hooterville is a TV they had in the bedroom in New York, and they just kept things that way.
Wow!! Good one! I didn't think of that! They lived in a very upscale, high class apartment. That makes sense that it would be in a built in entertainment center! ;)

It might be simpler than that. They might have had trouble fitting a TV set and enough room for everyone to watch it into the living room set.
