Is there a Sonic near you? The closest one to me is about an hour away. They advertise a LOT here, and it seems like wasted advertising dollars since there's none around.

Is the food good at Sonic? Looks like good simple food to me, grilled cheese, fruity drinks. I think I'd like it. I read that Sonic plans on building 36 of them in Massachusetts over the next five years.

I like those two goofballs in the Sonic commercials. Can't help it, I just laugh when they're on.

Sonic is an excellent restaurant, easily one of fast food's best. Fort Wayne has had a Sonic two different times. But they both closed despite doing great business, none currently.

There's two in my area...I went to the one in Parma where I had their Chicago Dogs. I wish they could have The Polish Boy but that would be a local special.

But as a Millenial...every time I think of Sonic, I think of this...

I agree with you about the advertising, Janice. They advertised here for YEARS before we actually had any in the state.

I always thought that it looked good, but now that we actually have multiple locations, I never go, lol.

The food is pretty good. It's a hamburger/hot dog kind of place. I use to go there a lot, but I quit for awhile because my tastes changed and several carhops took it upon themselves to keep my change as a tip. Once I had my hand out for my change and a female server walked away. I don't mind giving a tip, but I like it to be MY idea. I went back recently and the change thing wasn't a problem anymore.

Another Fast-Food place that gets advertised here and perhaps New England is Hardee's. There's none in Cuyahoga County and there's none in New England!

I've never eaten at a Sonic restaurant and I don't recall seeing any around! I googled and the closest one to me is all the way in Duarte, which is pretty far! The two guys in the commercial are funny! Esp. the lighter hair guy!

We have 6 in our city, one on Wilma Rudolph Blvd. one on Madison st. one on Riverside Dr. one on Ft. Campbell Blvd. one on Dover Crossing and one on Trenton Rd. We have a lot of single military guys who eat out, that's the main reason we have so many fast food places here and we're also located next to a major interstate. Sonic's food is okay, it's reasonably priced and has a good selection. My son likes the tater tots, corn dogs & milk shakes they have.

MY best friend and I LIVED at Sonic when we were in high school back in the 80's in Texas. I wish there was one here in Seattle but there's not. There's one in Wenatchee, WA which is halfway across the state (where all of the wildfires are), but none around here. I would LOVE for there to be one a lot closer. Their food is soo good and from the commercials I see, it looks like they have a ton more stuff on their menu now. Sigh....

Likewise! I've played that through and beaten it many a time, as I have with Sonic 2 and Sonic 3 (I've even beaten out Sonic Generations lately).

Catsrule, I think the Fort Wayne locations used to be Dog 'n Suds. There should be one down in Lafayette on Sagamore/US 52. (If you don't mind the diverted I-65 traffic!)

OMG!! Dog N Suds. I remember those driving through the mid west as a kid! My folks had friends in Missouri that we visited and it was like a Griswold family trip! :D

There is a Sonic in the town where I live. I don't go there often, but when I do, I usually order a double cheeseburger and fries, and side order of mozzarella sticks. Pretty good stuff.

I first started liking Sonic when I would visit my grandmother and we would take my cousins for a Sonic lunch and their hamburgers are great. In California I have two Sonics and the one that I usually go to is within walking distance of a Kmart and another great thing about Sonic is that they have great slushes and my favorite slush is the blue coconut one. Sonic also has great hot dogs and they now have sales from time to time on their corn dogs. Hope you like Sonic Janice because it's a cool place to eat

In all honesty I don't know why Sonic Drive-Ins have gone downhill but when my family would go to Texas on vacations we always used to get together with our relatives and have Sonic picnics in our car. But when they opened my Sonic Drive-In the food quality went downhill and not only that the carhops were slow to deliver our food and their milkshakes and ice cream tasted odd to me. And I cannot understand how Sonic Drive-Ins are still in operation because their food used to be really good but not anymore

I have heard thier burgers are greasy. I dunno as I havent had one.....

I don’t like Sonic because I don’t want to eat in my car.Wow ya cant eat inside??

I didnt realise it really WAS a drive in and not a restaurant!!

Had no idea we had one in Philly but it's nowhere near me. I live in West Philly and Sonic is in Northeast Philly Wow thats awesome Solomon!!

I used to goto a school in Devon......... One night me and a friend ran away and we walked mostly 30 miles to Philly (Up that busy road next to a park) and hopped a bus to Maryland... He wanted to see family in Baltimore......

We got a ride but they only took us to Lower Marion Township.........

In Baltimore we almost hopped a bus to Cali but the driver saw us sneak on and she said "Get off this bus before I give you what you need"

The place finally found out where we were and drove out in a van to get us... My friend Chuck and someone else came to get us..... He had a tape recorder and he was asking me all kinds of questions about our night out......... He told me I had a good 1 on 1 (Jason (My friend who came with me))

Ah man!!
