Wayne & Shuster were Johnny Wayne & Frank Shuster. They starred in the longest-running variety show in Canadian TV history, appearing on CBC from the 1950s until Wayne's death in 1990. They also hold the record---which will never be broken--- ---for the most guest appearances on "The Ed Sullivan Show" (67!). More fun trivia: Frank Shuster's cousin Joe was one of the original creators of Superman. 70s show watcher 07-30-2015, 02:01 AM Wayne & Shuster were Johnny Wayne & Frank Shuster. If I had remembered it earlier I would have put it solidly in the #3 spot. That would be "Sha Na Na" the 1950s-style music group who had their own syndicated series in the 1970s around the same time in which they appeared in the movie "Grease".
