Oh my god! I didn't know that a co-star of his in Leo And Me had the disease. I thought it wasn't the contagious type. I was sure I had read or heard somewhere that Michael J. Fox had said that his disease wasn't the contagious type. Maybe it is contagious and he just doesn't know it.

I hope it isn't contagious. But what I understood from this article was the the actors on Leo and Me could have been exposed to environmental hazards. For example, I read somewhere that the metal manganese has been linked to Parkinson's Disease. Maybe they were exposed to something like that.

Yeah, I thought it was like cancer too. Maybe you have to be under certain conditions to catch it?

I didn't think it was contagious either, but that is what this article seemed to be saying.

It's probable that they didn't believe you could "catch" it, but now they are beggining to think it is possible.

From reading the article I don't think it was saying you can catch it necessarily like the way you catch the flu. I think that what it is saying is that pesticides, and environmental hazards make catching it more likely. Kind of like how being around asbestos can make a person more likely to be diagnosed with cancer.
