(Ralph & Ed meet for lunch.)
Ralph: "Did you see the Veterans Day parade Norton? I did."
Ed: "Yeah. I saw all the young and old veterans. The turnout was better than last years."
Ralph: "I wonder what those veterans are thinking about those BUMS. ISIS."
Ed: "I wonder. I am sure that they would love to be over there fighting ISIS and protecting us."
Ralph: "We sure owe them gratitude Norton. Without them, this land probably wouldn't be free."
Ed: "Right there Ralph."
Ralph: "I wonder what it would be like fighting in the war."
Ed: "I don't think you would pass the physical Ralph."
Ralph: "Oh, you are a riot Norton."
Ed: "We might be too old to join the army."
Ralph: "I am not talking about now. I am talking about lets say 40 years ago or longer."
Ed: "Oh. I certainly would love to be over there and fighting for our country."
Ralph: "Me too. Well Norton, it is time for us to have a moment of silence for the veterans who are no longer with us."
(Silence.)
Ralph: "That's good. Veterans are great people."
(They sing a song about veterans.)
(Jackie Gleason walks on stage. Audience applauds.)
Jackie: "HOW SWEET IT IS!"
(Crowd cheers.)
Jackie: "I would like to acknowledge several war veterans in the front row."
(Crowd cheers.)
Jackie: "Ladies and gentlemen, a war veteran himself. Art Carney."
(Crowd cheers as Aart walks on stage and shakes Jackie's hand.)
Jackie: "The Miami Beach crowds are the BEST! GOOD NIGHT!"
(Crowd cheers.)
