This fanfic takes place in the Exstead residence early in
the morning. Jinny wakes up in consternation after having
a terrible, reoccuring nightmare that leaves her teary eyed
and in a cold sweat. She just lays there for a moment
shaking a little after being subjected to such a vivid vision
of sheer terror. After she calms down some, she shuts
off the alarm that to her relief, woke her from the dreaded
imagery that went through her head all too often. Talking
to herself, she said "It wasn't real". Jinny threw the blanket
off that was wrapped around her and got up out of the bed.
To her surprise, she was completely nude. She just stood
there for a moment exposed and in total shock. Then she
started trembling out of fear and screamed as loud as she
could because she knew that she had gone to bed
with a big T-shirt and undergarments on. Her reoccuring
nightmare always started off that way with her wearing
nothing but her birthday suit, and she could never figure
out why she was unclothed after she always went to bed
wearing textiles of some kind. When she screamed as
loud as she did, her Father woke up immediately and
ran into Jinny's room frantically. "What's wrong, Jinny?
what happened?!" inquired her Father in genuine
concern for his daughter. Jinny's eyes widened when she
saw him, she grabbed the blanket off the bed, covered herself, and stood there gocking at him with a terrified expression on
her face that made her look like she had seen a ghost. Mr. Exstead asked her again what was wrong and she finally
replyed "c...can't you see I'm naked? get out of here!" yelled
Jinny after stuttering a little out of fear. Her Dad looked at
her in confusion and said "what are you talking about, Jinny? Before you covered yourself up, I observed the fact that
you're wearing your work clothes". Jinny slowly pulled the
blanket off and looked at her body to see that her Father
was right. She was wearing black pants, an indigo blue shirt,
and her black leather jacket. "oh my god, I'm dressed!"
exclaimed Jinny. Her Dad looked at her with a strange look.
"Uh, Jinny girl ...have you been drinking?" inquired her Father. Jinny looked at him and nonchalantly replied with a lie because
she thought it would be easier than explaining to him
about what really happened, which she wasn't even sure
of. "Yeah" was Jinny's nonchalant responce. Mr. Exstead's
heart sank and it showed on his face.Jinny looked at him and couldn't help, but cry. "Jinny" said her Father, You need to get some more help". She nodded and said "I will". He walked over to her, put his hand on her shoulder, looked into her eyes with sincerity, and said "please do". Jinny took her hand and pushed his off of her shoulder. "I said I would" said Jinny sharply. Then her Father turned around and walked out of the room. Jinny
gave herself a pep talk. "Common, Jinny. Pull yourself together!" She looked at herself again and she was still dressed. "ok, I'm not naked--this is a good thing. Now I'll just go to work, distract my mind, and forget any of this ever happened".


Note to readers:

ok, this is my first fanfic and I'm not really used
to writing. I don't do it often. I know this seems
like a really odd story ( I'm an odd person...so
ya know....:lol:) BUT I'm going to try to get it
to make more sense as I go along. This will be
a challenge for sure. hehe ;) To be continued...

Jinny got all of her stuff together for work, walked out of
the bedroom, and into the family room where she found
her Father sitting in a chair drinking beer. She looked at
him, shook her head, and said "You really should practice
what you preach". Her Father set the bottle of alcohol
down on the table and gazed at her gloomily. "There's
a difference, Jin. I'm not an alcoholic" said Mr. Exstead.
"Yeah, Dad....keep telling yourself that. Stay in denial!
That'll make everything better" said Jinny sarcastically.
With that, she walked out the door and got into her
car without saying goodbye to her Father. As she was
driving along in her car, things went blurry....and she
started seeing in tunnel vision. Then she pulled over
to the side of the road because she had enough
sense and good judgement to know that she'd end
up in a wreck if she couldn't see right. She folded her
arms and put her head down over her steering wheel
for a while to make the dizziness go away, but then
she suddenly heard a tapping at her window. She
lifted her head up quickly to see a blurred vision of
a guy standing outside her car door that she couldn't
quite make out. She cracked the window a little so
that she could talk to him, but the guy spoke first and
she recognized the familiar voice as someone she knew
very well. "Are you alright, Jinny?" asked the man. "not
exactly. is that you, Teddy?" she inquired. "Of course
it is. what's wrong with you?" he asked in concern.
"I don't know but my vision is really screwed up so I
had to pull over" replyed Jinny matter-of-factly. "oh,
god. Have you been drinking?" asked Teddy bluntly.
"Ya know what? just do me a favor and go to hell!"
shouted Jinny in anger. "um...well....what do you
expect me to think? why else would you be on the
side of the road with impaired vision??" interrogated
Teddy with a tone in his voice. " I don't know what
the problem is, smart ass...all I know is that I cant
see. Why are you here on the side of the
road??" questioned Jinny. "Well, I was on my way
to work and I spotted you here. Then I decided to
check up on you and see if you were alright" replyed
Teddy. "oh, well...uh....I appreciate your concern" said
Jinny softly. Teddy smiled and impulsively kissed her.
Jinny closed her eyes and kissed him back. When
their lips departed from eachother's face, Jinny and
Teddy both looked at eachother. As soon as Jin
opened her eyes after having them closed during the
kiss, her vision became clear again. She studied his
handsome features with her renewed eye sight.
"I can see again! damn...you look good" said Jinny
with a smile. Teddy blushed and looked away. "well,
uh...I'm glad that your sight has returned. That was
quick". Jinny looked into his eyes with sincerity and
prepared herself to ask him an important question.
"Teddy, do you forgive me for what happened when
I...uh....ya know.....kissed that other guy when I was
drunk?" Teddy looked down and then back into her
eyes. He felt uncomfortable with giving her a straight
answer so he decided to change the subject. "Jinny,
I really need to get to work because I'm going to be
late. You should take the day off or something so
another 'vision loss incident' doesn't come about"
said Teddy uneasily. Before she could say anything,
he asked her a question. "umm...would you like me
to drive you home?" you might get in an accident
if your eyes act up again and we certainly can't
have that". "No, said Jinny, I'll be fine"."We both
need to get to work right now so we're not anymore
late than we already are". Teddy looked concerned
but knew she was too stubborn to change her mind,
so he didn't bother trying. "Well, alright. I'll see you
later then" said Teddy as he walked over to his car
and got in. Jinny watched him until he drove off and
she just sat there in her car for a few minutes
thinking about teddy and the kiss they shared before
she decided to drive off to work. When she finally
arrived at the division, she ended up being twenty
minutes late. She walked in through the door and
almost immediately heard Captain Kate shouting
at her. "Exstead! in my office now!!" called cap.
Jinny walked inside her office and closed the door
behind her. "Yeah?" asked Jinny trying to sound
care-free. "You're 20 minutes late!!" exclaimed
cap. "Oh, well" replyed Jinny without showing any
kind of concern. "Oh, well? is that all you have to say
for yourself??" inquired cap impatiently. "Look, cap
...there's been a lot of crazy **** going on this
morning. I don't even know what's happening...all
I know is that my vision got blurry and I started
seeing in tunnel vision on my way over here" said
Jinny without any expression. "My god, have you
been drinking again??" asked captain kate. "If
one more person asks me that, I'm going to pull
my friggen hair out! I'm 100% sober but I just
happen to be going crazy!! why is that so hard
to believe??? I don't need rehab; I already went
that route....I need to go to a loony bin!!! OK?!?!"
exclaimed Jinny irrationally. "ok, ok.....calm down.
You're actually acting like a crazy person so the
whole loony bin scenario wouldn't be so hard to
believe if I didn't know you as well as I do" said
captain. "You don't know me, cap" replyed
Jinny. "Well, I do know that you're perfectly
sane but you're just under a lot of stress" said
cap confidently. "You think you know everything
but you're sadly mistaken" said Jinny flatly.

Captain Kate raised her eyebrows and said "I beg your differ".
Jinny just shook her head and rolled her eyes at that responce.
"ok, well...you're right that I don't know everything but
I try to gain as much knowledge as I can....so won't you talk
to me about this and fill me in on what's going on with you?"
asked cap. "I don't know" said Jinny softly. "You mean you
don't know if you want to share this with me or you don't know what's going on?" inquired cap in both curiousity and concern.
"All of the above" said Jinny. "Well, if not me...you need to talk
to someone" replyed cap. Jinny nodded and said "Yes,
I know just who to talk to". "Oh yeah? well, go ahead and do
that. Take the day off and get everything in order" said cap.
"ok, well...ya see....It's another inspector that I have in mind".
"Alright, I'm not going to pry and ask you who it is...so just
take whatever person it is that you need to talk to aside...and
I'll assign some other inspectors to fill in for you two. Take as
long as you need to sort things out, but I expect you to have
your ass on straight tomorrow.....and ready to work again. Got
it?" asked captain. "Yes, captain.Thankyou for being...so...um
understanding" said Jinny sincerely. "No problem, Jinny. Everyone has problems and it's when you take the time to solve them that they go away" answered cap wisely. "ok then. I'm going to go
discuss some personal issues with someone who could possibly
relate" said Jinny. "Great. That's just what you need to do" replyed cap with a little wave". Jinny walked out the door and
confronted someone who she wasn't exactly comfortable with,
but knew that she needed to talk to. "Hey, uh....C.D.?" called
Jinny. Inspector Delorenzo turned around from sitting at her
desk and was surprised to see Jinny standing there". "Oh, hi Jinny. Can I help you??" asked C.D. "Well, umm...I was just
wondering if we could talk" said Jinny. Cap said it was ok that
we take as long as we need to discuss some things...if you
want to, that is....and she'll assign some other inspectors to
pair up with Nate and Magda. Actually, she'll probably pair
them up together for the day". "oh ok....what do you need to talk about?" inquired C.D. in curiousity. "A lot of personal *****
that I need to get off my chest before I end up in a room with
padded walls. Can we go somewhere a lot less public?" asked
Jinny as she looked around at all the other cops. "oh, sure. I'll
be glad to listen to what you have to say and talk about stuff
...but...do you really feel comfortable telling me things
about your personal life?? I mean....you never did before" said C.D. logically. "No, I don't feel comfortable talking to you
...but I know that I need to tell someone before I explode. I'm
not keeping it bottled up inside me anymore and I figured you'd understand since...well....ya know....you've been in a similar situation. Also, I'll save money by not going to a shrink" said
Jinny with a smirk on her face. "Hmph! well, how do you know
I'm not going to charge you for my expert advice?" joked C.D.
Jinny laughed a little. "So, where do you want to go?" inquired
C.D. "uh...doesn't matter. Anywhere that's quiet and doesn't
have eavesdropping people around" answered Jinny. C.D talked
in almost a whisper and said "We better get out of the division then. Raina is close by". Jinny smirked and walked out the door
followed by C.D.

C.D. suggested to Jinny that they go to her place to talk
so Jinny took her up on the offer. C.D. drove and Jinny sat
in the passenger seat of the car. There was silence for a
while until Jinny turned on her favorite heavy metal station
on the radio in C.D.'s car. She cranked it up loud enough for
all of San Francisco to hear. "Turn that down!" yelled C.D.
"What?!" asked Jinny with a shout. C.D. reached over and
turned the radio off hastily. Jinny folded her arms, looked
out the window, and then back over at C.D. with a glare.
"What?" inquired C.D. calmly. "That was rude" said Jinny
flatly. I was listening to that and you go and shut it off".
"oh, well. It was distracting me" said C.D. "From what?!"
asked Jinny sharply. "Driving! how am I supposed to
concentrate with that crap blaring in my ears?" inquired
C.D. with a tone in her voice. Jinny mumbled under her
breathe and sarcastically said "sure, get an attitude
about it. That's real mature". C.D. heard her and responded.
"I'm sorry, Jinny. I didn't mean to get an attitude with you.
Loud music just happens to be one of my pet peeves".
"Among many other things, eh?" asked Jinny slyly. "No,
not really. I don't let many things bother me" said C.D.
softly. "You could have fooled me" replyed Jinny. "what
is that supposed to mean?" inquired C.D. with curiousity.
"Well, uh...you just strike me as the uptight type. That's
all" answered Jinny. C.D. laughed a little and said "I guess
I am compared to you". "Huh? why would you say that??"
questioned Jinny in wonder. "It's quite obvious that you're
a seemingly wild individual" replyed C.D. in amusement.
"oh. wow. I didn't know that I came off as being that way"
said Jinny in sincerity. "Are you being a smart ass??" asked
C.D. with a smirk on her face. "No! why does everyone
think that every word that comes out of my mouth is
intended to be cutting or sarcastic?" questioned Jinny.
"Because most of the things you say are wisecracks
and you're impulsive as hell...so the combination between
the two gives people the perception that you're a smart ass,
wild woman" responds C.D. matter-of-factly. "oh" said Jinny
without any expression. C.D. turns into the driveway of her
humble abode and parks.

Wow... this is REALLY good. I'm going to start writing TD fics again... this inspired me to write again. :)

C.D. and Jinny unbuckled their seatbelts simultaneously and
then looked at eachother. "What?!" inquired C.D. and Jinny
at the exact same time."whoa. That was kind of weird" said
Jinny. "I know. ESP, I guess" replyed C.D. "Give me a break"
said Jinny as she got out of the car and slammed the door.
C.D. opened her door, pressed the automatic lock button,
got out, and shut the door lightly. They both walked up to
the front door and C.D. unlocked & opened it. Jinny walked
in followed by C.D. "uh...nice place" said Jinny. "oh, thanks.
Feel free to sit down and make yourself comfortable" said
C.D. Kindly. "Yeah, well...I intended on doing so" replyed
Jinny bluntly. C.D. shrugged and sat down on the couch.
Then Jinny sat on the couch but on the very end as far
away from C.D. as she could possibly get. "I don't bite"
said C.D. sarcastically. Jinny smirked a little but didn't
say anything. "umm...ok. Anyway, do you want anything
to drink?" asked C.D. "nah" said Jinny as she shook her
head. "Alright. so, do you want to talk now?" inquired
C.D. softly. Jinny nodded but was silent. "well, uh...what
did you mean when you said earlier that you wanted to
talk to me because I'd probably understand since I've been
in a similar situation to yours?" Jinny gulped, looked down,
and started twiddling her thumbs. "What's wrong??"
inquired C.D. with concern. "ok, I'll just come out and tell
you without beating around the bush" said Jinny. "I'm
listening" replied C.D. "Well, I've been having terrible,
reoccuring nightmares for a while about something very
tramautic that happened to me in reality. I'm even starting
to see things and I'm having tunnel vision that's probably
brought on from panic attacks...and I think I'm going
crazy because of the whole thing" said Jinny expressively.
"My god...I'm sorry, Jinny. would you like to share more
about the traumatic event that you mentioned?" asked
C.D. calmly.

Jinny sighed, looked down, and then back up into
C.D.'s eyes. "Yeah, I need to talk about this" said
Jinny softly."ok, go ahead..." said C.D. After a few
moments of hesitation, Jinny began speaking of her
experience."Well, ya see....something bad
happened to me before I became sober and I was
helpless at the time due to my degree of intoxication.
I remember it so clearly, though. Despite the fact
that I was completely ***** faced when it happened,
I know every detail about that night. Some things
just stick with you and you always remember. It
relentlessly haunts me and I relive it through every
thought, every nightmare...." said Jinny as her voice
trailed off. "It just happens to me over and over again
through vivid images in my head that seem so... real.
I don't know how much longer I'll be able to stand this.
I'm bound to go completely nuts after a while...after
excessively picturing it" continued Jinny after her brief
pause. C.D. knew exactly what Jin was talking about,
but she wanted to hear her say it. C.D. went through
the same thing and knew it was in Jinny's best interest
to come out and admit what happened to her, so she
asked her a very straight forward question. "What
happened to you, Jinny?" inquired C.D. as politely
as she could. Jin just looked blankly at her for a few
minutes and then she turned her face because she
didn't want C.D. to see that she was about to cry.
"Please answer the question" insisted C.D. After
hearing C.D.'s request, Jinny's mind was distracted
from her emotions, so she didn't start crying...but
she looked back at C.D. again, and prepared herself
to confess what it was that had such a traumatic
affect on her. "I...well, uh...you know....I was drunk.
Really out of it" said Jinny expressively. "Uh huh
...go on" replyed C.D. "ok, umm....I blacked out
somewhere along the line and I woke up in someone
else's bed not knowing what the hell was going on.
I felt so weak, the intoxication had one hell of an affect
on me....all groggy and disorientated...I could hardly move,
but I managed to pull the covers back and was surprised
to see that I had no clothes on. Some guy walked inside
the bedroom and my body was exposed because I had
just pulled the covers back...and I was just lying there
...just lying there helplessly altered from all the alcohol
that I consumed. The guy said "oh, I see you're awake
and ready". I slurred my words but I made a point to let
him know that I definitely was not ready and the
last thing I wanted to do at that moment was have sex.
The bastard wouldn't take no for an answer and he
locked the door, took off his clothes, and came towards
me. I kept saying no, stop, dont, and whatever other
word came to mind in order to get him away from me
as if I was trying to come up with a magic word that
would make him disappear...but....he.....just ignored
me and went along with what was convenient for
him. The son of a bi*ch raped me!!" concluded Jinny
in anger. C.D. got especially emotional at that point
and started crying. "Jinny...that's awful. I'm so sorry"
said C.D. empathatically. Jinny ignored C.D.'s comment
and continued talking about the rape. "After he was
done taking advantage of me, he sloppily put my
clothes back on with my pants half down, carried me
outside, put me in the backseat of his car, drove
me to some unfamiliar place and laid me on the
ground somewhere. That was the night I ended up
in jail" said Jinny. "Why didn't you tell anyone before?!"
inquired C.D. "Well, it was too hard for me to talk
about it then...and no one would have believed me
anyway". "Why not?" asked C.D. in curiousity. "Everyone
saw me as Jinny, the slutty lush" said Jin as she rolled
her eyes.

her eyebrows and looked at C.D. in both surprise and
disbelief. C.D. shrugged and said "You were a
lush, but you had a disease...and you had no control
over what you did when you were under the influence. So...umm....you weren't a slut intentionally" stated
C.D. while she grinned optimistically. Jinny started laughing
and then C.D. was the one who had a surprised expression
on her face. "What's so damn funny?" asked C.D. as she
laughed along with Jinny". "The way you said that, the look
on your face....and who the hell ever heard of someone unintentionally being a slut?" asked Jinny smiling. C.D.
laughed, shook her head, and said "well, you know what
I mean". Jinny nodded and then was silent for a while.
"ok, umm....we're going to need to investigate and nail
the creep who assaulted you. I hope you remember
enough of his physical appearance to describe him to
a sketch artist" said C.D. "No, listen...I have to tell
you something else that I left out" said Jinny quietly
in almost a whisper. "Yeah?" asked C.D. "The guy
who did it is at the local hospital in critical condition"
stated Jinny. "What happened?!" inquired C.D. with strong expression. "I hurt him" said Jinny reverently. "What do you mean, Jinny? You were too drunk that night to even defend
yourself. Please elaborate" requested C.D. "Hmm. Think
about it, C.D....it isn't rocket science! obviously I did it
after I sobered up" said Jinny sarcastically with a tone in
her voice. "Dammit, Jinny...just cut out the wisecracks long enough to tell me everything that happened!!" shouted C.D.
"You keep on yelling at me, Delorenzo...and I won't tell you
sh*t!!!" shouted back Jinny. "Common, Jin....stop it. I just
want to know what happened" replyed C.D. as calmly as
she could manage at that point". "Too bad. Maybe I don't
want to tell you! You know enough as it is" said Jinny
sharply with her temper still flared. "Jinny Exstead, I think
you better stop acting like a child and tell me what's going
on right now" demanded C.D. "Excuse me?! How dare you
talk to me like that! You are not my mother!!" exclaimed
Jin in fury. "I'm sorry, Jinny. Please tell me.This is very
important" replyed C.D. softly. "I'm out of here..." said Jinny
as she got up and started walking towards the front door.
C.D. got up, walked in front of her, and stood in front of the
door. "Get the hell out of my way!!" yelled Jinny. "How are
you going to get anywhere? I drove you here, remember??"
inquired C.D. "I'll walk! Get out of my way now!!"
exclaimed Jinny. "No, I'm not budging. I don't know why
you're doing this, Jinny. This is something that's not to
be taken lightly" said C.D. with a scowl on her face.
Jinny put her hands on her hips and said "ok, you have
two options. Either you move and let me by or I'm going
to be forced to brutally kick your ass like I did the other guy
that you're so anxious to hear about" said Jinny. "Are you
kidding me, Exstead? you actually think you can take me
on??" asked C.D. in a tough voice. The confident way that
C.D. said it and the expression on her face actually intimidated
Jinny as she was in a rather fragile state on the inside even
though she tried to come off as being intimidating; her plan
backfired.Jin looked down and her vulnerable side was transparent in C.D.'s eyes, so she knew it was safe for her
to take charge. "Get over there and sit down" said C.D. in
an authoritative voice. Jinny stomped off to the couch with
her arms crossed. "Now please tell me the whole story"
requested C.D. politely.

Jinny sat there on the couch scowling at C.D. for a few minutes
before she decided to talk. C.D. sat down next to her and Jinny
scooted way over at the end the couch again where she was sitting before she got up. C.D. rolled her eyes and said "well, are you going to tell me?" "ok, well...like I said....I hurt him" replyed Jinny. "And?" inquired C.D. "And I was sober when it happened. Not right after the assault, but several months
later. I just snapped and I wanted him dead, so I hunted him
down with the intention of homicide" said Jinny flatly without showing any remorse. "Jinny...you....weren't afraid of him?!"

rape victims are fearful of the culprit...and it really
surprises me that you actually tried to kill him. I understand why you'd want him dead, but Jinny...you're a police officer for god sakes! I know that you're aware of what can happen to you
under the circumstances. If this guy ends up dying, you'll be charged with 1st degree man slaughter. You'll get either life without parol or possibly the death penalty depending on what the judge decides!!" exclaimed C.D. with concern. "No, C.D...
I didn't try to kill him. I planned on it in the beginning when
I was searching for the lowdown son of a bit*h, but when I
found him...all I did was beat the crap out of his sorry ass.If
I really wanted to kill him, I would have just blown his brains
out with my gun" said Jinny in a sullen manner. "Wait a minute
...I thought you said you wanted him dead" said C.D. "I did!
I just....couldn't do it" said Jinny as she put her head down. "Why
not?" asked C.D. in curiousity. "Because he said that his parents
were friends of my mother and that she was always complaining
to them about what a handful I was...that she wished I was more
behaved like their son, who just happens to be a rapist now...so
he said that it was my fault she killed herself and he raped me as
punishment for what I did...and I believed him at the time, but
then I remembered later on that my mother loved me. I wasn't
a bad kid and she never would have bitc*ed about me if I was" said Jin as tears started coming down her cheeks. "When did he say that? the night he assaulted you or when you beat him up??"
inquired C.D. "It was when I beat him up..." said Jinny as she
sniffled and rubbed her red, tear flooded eyes. "I had him
down on the floor with his arms pinned back behind him and
he was very angry and called me names & stuff....so then he
just brought that up all of a sudden. I was really surprised by
what he said...I let my guard down...that's when he got his
arms loose and got up so abruptly that I couldn't stop him.
He came after me and I kicked him in the ribs. He keeled
over so then I aimed my kick for his head, but I missed and
kicked him in the neck instead.He fell backwards...hit the
floor...I got down, grabbed his throat, and slammed his
head into the ground several times until I rendered him
unconscious. I did it out of self-defense; I wanted to make
sure that he didn't come after me again. I couldn't take
it if I was to be raped again. I'd much rather die. I'm
already going crazy from being raped once!! I mean,
literally crazy. You know, something absurd happened
to me this morning. You won't even believe this, C.D...I woke
up from one of those reoccuring nightmares I've been having ever since the night of the assault....and I could have sworn that
I was completely naked, but I went to bed clothed.It freaked me out because it was exactly what happened the night I was
raped. So I screamed because I was really scared.
I thought it was happening to me again. My Dad heard me
and woke up. Then the poor guy came running into my room
half asleep and all frantic. I covered myself up and told him
to get out because I didn't have anything on. Then he said
that I did have clothes on, so I looked at myself and he
was right. I was dressed for work!!" exclaimed Jinny.

C.D. had a puzzled expression on her face and she
was thinking to herself that Jin really was losing
it, but she remained speechless. "You think I'm crazy,
don't you?" asked Jinny. C.D. glanced away, so Jinny
knew the answer to the question judging by C.D.'s
delayed responce. C.D. looked back at Jinny and
nodded. "Well, um...you'll be alright. You just need to
get help a.s.a.p." said C.D. honestly. Jinny rested her
chin on the palm of her hand as she leaned her elbow
on her knee and sighed. "It's not like you'll end up in
a mental institution" said C.D. with a little smirk. "Oh
god, I hope not!" exclaimed Jinny as she sat up
straight and stiffened. "Common, Jinny...you know
you don't belong in one of those places. I was just
messing aroung, so relax....and snap out of it!" said
C.D. as she looked at Jinny hoping that she would
be her old self again soon.

"Oh, I am relaxed" said Jinny uneasily with a fake smile
on her face. C.D. looked at her in disbelief and Jinny started
to get up. "Are you leaving?" inquired C.D. with concern. "uh,
yeah..." replyed Jin as she was on her way towards the front
door. "Wait!" exclaimed C.D. "Oh, yeah...can you drive me back to the division, so I can get my car and go home?" asked Jinny. "umm...sure" replyed C.D. without any expression in her voice. Jinny walked out the door and got into the car while C.D.
closed & locked her front door. After C.D. had walked out to her
car and got in, she put her seatbelt on and waited for Jinny to
buckle hers before she started the vehicle. "Well, what are you waiting for?" asked Jinny impatiently. "I'm waiting for you to fascen your seatbelt; that's what" replyed C.D. in a rather motherly way. "Yes, Mom" said Jinny as she rolled her eyes
and buckled her seatbelt. "I'm not Magda, so don't even go
there" said C.D. with a laugh as she started the car. "Well,
you're acting like her and it's pissing me off" replyed Jinny
with a smirk. C.D. smiled, started the car, and Jinny reached
over to turn the radio on immediately after C.D. turned the
key. "Don't!" shouted C.D. before Jinny had a chance to
blast heavy metal music once again for all of San Francisco
to hear. Jinny pulled her hand back and flipped C.D. off when
she thought she wasn't looking. "I saw that" said C.D. with
a tone in her voice. "So?" asked Jinny without showing any
concern for her action as she folded her arms and looked
out the window. C.D. shook her head and anticipated
getting to the division parking lot, so she could get rid of
Jin. "Well, we're almost there" said C.D. after a while to
break the silence. Jinny didn't respond and C.D. thought
she was being awfully quiet, so it worried her...but she
couldn't look over at Jin because she had to concentrate
since there was so much on-coming traffic. "Jinny!" shouted
C.D. as she made a sharp turn. "What?! you scared the hell
out of me!!" exclaimed Jinny. "Oh, sorry. You're being way
too quiet and I got a little worried" said C.D. with concern.
"Well, damn...thats 'cause I dozed off" replyed Jinny sleepily.
"Oh ok, just checking" said C.D. "k, thanks for making sure
I was still alive" replyed Jinny with a little smirk. C.D. laughed
and pulled into the parking lot of the division.

After C.D. had parked the car, she looked over at Jinny
and said "I'm going to have a discussion with cap about
your situtation. Jinny looked at C.D. nervously but didn't
say a word. Would you like to go home now or stick
around?" asked C.D. "No, you can't tell her or anyone
else" answered Jinny softly in almost a whisper. "...But
Jinny..." said C.D. until she was interrupted by Jin. "You
can't tell anyone" repeated Jinny. C.D. looked into
Jin's eyes and said "I have to". "No, no...you don't have
to!" exclaimed Jinny. "What's wrong with you?" asked C.D.
wondering why Jin was being so irrational. "No one can
know about this because I'll be in deep ***** if that guy
ends up dying" replyed Jinny. "Well, you said it was out
of self-defense...didn't you?" asked C.D. "Yeah, but I'm the
one who confronted him and started the whole thing a long
while after he assaulted me. I should have just arrested him
sooner and I shouldn't have gotten all hostile either" said Jin.
"We'll tell the captain that you tryed to arrest him but he
resisted and tryed to come after you" replyed C.D. "That's
not the truth! I didn't try to arrest him!!" shouted Jinny.
"ok, ok...I'm sorry. You're right that lying isn't the right
approach, but I don't know what charges will be held
against you...and quite frankly....I'm concerned about the
whole thing" stated C.D. honestly. "Why do you care
about me all of a sudden?!" inquired Jinny as she raised
her voice. "Actually, it's not all of a sudden. I've always
cared about you...so please don't yell at me" answered
C.D. kindly. Jinny felt a little guilty for being bitchy to C.D,
so she looked down and mumbled "I'm sorry". C.D. smiled
and said "no problem, Jinny". "I...uh....was just wondering
why you're being nice to me. I thought you didn't like me"
replyed Jinny softly. "Jinny, this is hard for me to say...but
....I don't only like you" said C.D. "Huh?" asked Jin with
a confused look. C.D. picked up on the fact that Jinny
was confused and didn't get the hint, so she just said
"nevermind". "No, go on...tell me what you were going
to say" insisted Jinny. C.D. decided to make something
up since she didn't think Jin would appreciate what she
was going to say. "Well, I don't only like you...but...umm...
I think you're a good person too" said C.D. quickly.Jin looked
at C.D. with disbelief written across her face and replyed "well, thanks...but that's not what you were going to say". C.D. was
starting to sweat and feel nervous because she expected that
Jinny might really know what point she was trying to get across.
C.D. sighed and said "Do you know what I was going to
say?" inquired C.D. fearfully. Jinny shrugged and said "I have
a hunch". "Oh, yeah?" asked C.D. "uh huh...I think there's a
possibility that you're actually fond of me in more than
a friendly way. The bottom line is...I think you're gay
and you happen to be interested in me" said Jinny in a straight-
forward manner. "Bingo" said C.D. quietly wondering what Jin was thinking. "Well, ya know...it's fine with me that you're gay.
I wont tell anyone , but don't expect any kind of relationship other than friendship to form between us 'cause I'm straight
....and I'm in love with Teddy" said Jinny. "Oh ok, I understand
...I didn't think anything would happen between us, but I felt
I should tell you. Thanks for saying you'd keep it a secret" answered C.D. "heh...I would never blab to the whole world about someone's sexual preference" said Jinny. C.D. smiled
and they both got out of the car. "Well, I'm going to go home.
Don't tell cap anything about my situation until I think
through some things. Understand?" asked Jinny. "Yeah, sure...
I wont say a thing" answered C.D. "Thanks" said Jinny as she
walked over to her car. C.D watched her until she drove off
and then she walked inside the division so she could get back
to work.

Dewd...I sooooo saw that comin...I dont kno why I did, but I did...more!

When Jinny arrived at her place, she laid down on the
couch overwhelmed by all that was going on. She didn't
feel like thinking through things at that moment like she
told C.D. she would do, so she thought about Teddy and
the kiss they had shared earlier that day. She smiled
dreamily as she thought of him but the smile soon faded
off her face when her thoughts were interrupted by the
ringing of the telephone. She walked over to the phone
and answered it with a tired "hello?" "Hey, Jin..."
said the voice on the other line. "Oh, hi Mag" said Jinny.
"What's going on?" asked Magda. "nothing much. I got
home not too long ago" said Jinny. "From where?
you weren't at the division today because you left with
C.D. and I got stuck getting partnered up with Nate!"
exclaimed Magda. "well, I really don't feel like getting into
this right now. I just had to talk to C.D. about some stuff"
replyed Jinny in frustration. "Ok, well...you know we're
best friends and you can tell me anything. I'll leave it
at that" said Magda jealously."aww, common Mag...I already know all that. This is just something I couldn't talk to you
about because I doubt you'd understand" said Jinny. "what?
are you gay too?? inquired Magda. "No, I'm not. how'd you
know that C.D. was gay anyhow?" asked Jinny in curiousity.
"Nevermind that" said Mag. "ok...well I dont mean to be rude, Mag...but I'm really not in the mood to talk" said Jinny sleepily.
"I understand. You sound tired, and I have to go tuck Ben in anyway" replyed Magda. "Alright, I'll see you later then. Good night" said Jinny. "Yeah, g'night Jin" answered Mag. When Jinny hung up the phone, she rested on the couch again relieved that she had some peace and quiet. Right when she started to doze
off, the phone rang again. Jinny got up and answered it in an
even sleepier voice than before. "Uh huh?" said Jin. "Hola!!" shouted the voice on the other end. "Who the hell is this?"
asked Jinny. "No hable espanol?" inquired the mysterious
caller. "Uh, no...I don't speak Spanish. You have the wrong
number, buddy" said Jinny hanging up. As Jin started toward
the bathroom, she got interrupted again by the ringing phone. "Aww damn..." said Jinny to herself while she walked
over to the phone and answered it. "Hello?" said Jinny. "Hey,
is your refrigerator running?" asked a youthful sounding boy
with a dorky voice. "Yeah, so I better catch it....right?" asked
Jin. "umm...yeah. I guess you already know that one" said
the dorky boy. "I know 'em all, kid...you can't slick me" said
Jinny before she hung up. After Jinny went to the bathroom
and roamed around the house a bit, she decided to lie back
down on the couch. She rested for a while thinking about
Teddy again and then she finally fell asleep. Jin was only
able to nap for 15 minutes before the telephone disturbed
her slumber for the 4th time. She woke up angry, half
asleep and was fed up with all the calls, so she answered the phone with "piss off!" before she was even aware of who it
was and slammed the phone down on the hook. Jin wondered who had called once she fully awoke and realized that hadn't the slightest idea of whom she hung up on. So she decided to call
star 69 and find out. Jinny listened carefully and couldn't believe
it when she heard the number that she knew by heart. It was Teddy who was the last one to call the house and she told him
to piss off.

haha...I just read over what I posted yesterday and it
sucked. :lol: I dont know what I was thinking when I
posted that...must have been on crack or something.
hehe. oh well. it's all in fun. :D
