View Full Version : Who Am I?
Scrabjan1 09-23-2014, 11:23 AM I am an actor and have the same name (real name) as a central character in a novel that Beaver had to read in LITB. I also appeared on LITB as a major character in one episode. I also had "a wonderful life" and am still alive.
Jimmy Hawkins-- sometimes credited as 'Jim'-- the central character in Treasure Island (though many people think that is Long John Silver). He played the maladjusted Dudley McMillan in "Wally and Dudley."
Scrabjan1 09-23-2014, 06:46 PM Correct and you got that quickly. Right Long John is probably the main character but Jim is the narrator so I guess he is a central character kinda like Ishmael in Moby Dick where Captain Ahab is the main man.

I pop up in the fifth season as a married friend of Wally. A few years later I was in a TV show with another actor who also appeared in season five.
I would be later have a famous blonde as a significant other.
I think I just gave away the answer there.

I got it before you mentioned the SO. Ryan O'Neal appeared in the Season 5 premiere and later appeared on Peyton Place with Barbara Parkins, who played Beaver's babysitter a few episodes later.
Oddly enough, Wally made a topical reference to the wife about whether she thought Mantle or Maris would break Babe Ruth's single-season home run record. The day after this episode originally aired, Maris got his 61st home run for the Yankees on the last day of the regular season.
jehobden 09-29-2014, 05:56 PM (This is more related to Jerry Mathers than Leave It to Beaver.)
Who am I?
I was born in the same month of the same year, in the same city, as Jerry Mathers. I used to be an actor, but I never acted with Jerry Mathers, at least according to IMDB. I am best-known for playing a character also known by an animal nickname.
Scrabjan1 09-29-2014, 07:09 PM Sorry but I had to cheat.
Fred Grandy who was known as Gopher in Love Boat. Never watched Love Boat.
Zinc2 09-30-2014, 03:33 PM Besides Ryan O'Neal and Barbara Parkins, there is another Peyton Place alum who shows up in one LITB episode. Who is it?
Scrabjan1 09-30-2014, 03:50 PM Could it be Frank Ferguson who played Mr. Jeff, the tramp, in Beaver's Good Deed? He was a semi regular in Andy Griffith.
Zinc2 09-30-2014, 05:45 PM That is a correct answer. And one I didn't know! Frank Ferguson is like Ross Elliott---they are in everything. Too bad I wasn't on my toes for this one. It would have been a good question for the "Two" thread.
So...along with Frank Ferguson, Ryan O'Neal, and Barbara Parkins, who was on Peyton Place and Leave It to Beaver?
Scrabjan1 09-30-2014, 09:08 PM Went through entire PP cast and came up with Irene Tedrow who was uncredited but was credited on LITB in Visiting Aunts as Mrs. Hathaway.
Zinc2 09-30-2014, 10:56 PM No kidding? Irene Tedrow? At least she was uncredited so I don't have to blush again. Irene Tedrow and Ann Doran are the female counterparts to Frank and Ross.
It's someone else. This actor had a fairly important role on Peyton Place but was only in one season six Beaver episode.
Must be Paul Langton, who played Donna Yeager's dad in "More Blessed to Give."
Zinc2 09-30-2014, 11:59 PM Yes, Paul Langton. He played Ryan O'Neal's dad on Peyton Place.
Scrabjan1 10-02-2014, 05:10 PM There could be more but can you name five actors who appeared in I Love Lucy and went on to appear in Leave It To Beaver? Two were in many episodes of LITB and the others were in one or two episodes.
1. Ross Elliot
2. John Hart
3. Will Wright
4. Madge Blake
5. Lurene Tuttle
6. Howard McNear
7. Doris Packer
8. Frank Wilcox
9. Stephen Wootton
10. And Jerry Mathers, uncredited, as Little Ricky in Lucy's dream about Carlotta Romero
Scrabjan1 10-04-2014, 09:55 AM I wondered if Jerry was that kid sitting on Lucy's lap in the dream about Carlotta Romero and thought that Mathers wouldn't have been that old. He kinda looked like Jerry. Was it really him? In which episode of Lucy was Stephen Wooten and Frank Wilcox. You surely know your Lucy.

Well, I'm only 17 months late in happening to see your question here
Yes, imdb.com does say it was Jerry Mathers sitting in Lucy's lap in that dream. The biggest of the "Dream Little Ricky"s has a resemblance to "Lumpy" [Frank Bank]; though this guy is not listed at all, I'm certain it can't be FB, who would have only been 11.
Stephen Wooten was in the ILL episode, "Mertz and Kurtz," playing 'Little Barney,' the grandson of Fred's old vaudeville partner sent to NY to see his "famous grandfather" perform (who has actually been out of show business for many years).
And Frank Wilcox played the man who sold the Ricardos their house in the country. Eleanor Audley (Oliver Douglas' mother on Green Acres) played his wife.
MISST3 06-06-2016, 09:39 PM I am Beaver Cleaver's "Umbrella Aunt"! Who am I?
Bonniegirl 06-06-2016, 10:45 PM I am Beaver Cleaver's "Umbrella Aunt"! Who am I?
Aunt Martha?
MISST3 06-06-2016, 11:18 PM Aunt Martha is correct!
I'll keep it going . . .
My mother drives a jaguar, I invited Beaver over to play with my electric
trains but I'm really crazy about Wally! Who am I?
William Hogan Jr 06-06-2016, 11:18 PM Toby Michaels. Who am I? I appear in the season 3 episode "Blind Date Committee" as Wally's Date. Before Beaver I appeared in many episodes like Dragnet,The Jack Benny Program, and Wagon Train opposite guest Star Lou Costello. In the sixties I was in the Star Trek episode "The Deadly Years" in that episode I die of old age. Do you know who I am?
MISST3 06-07-2016, 12:24 AM Well, the answer to my question was Maryellen Rodgers played by Pamela
Baird. The answer to your question was Beverly Washburn.
Who am I? I work everyday in the office with Ward Cleaver, I often refer
to work as the "salt mines". Guess who?
William Hogan Jr 06-07-2016, 12:04 PM Whoops I goofed on the question before. I was thinking of a season 5 episode "Beaver's Electric Trains" Your right on that question. It was the season 1 episode. My mistake. You are correct on this last question.
MISST3 06-07-2016, 02:39 PM I'll keep it going . . .
