Spoke (http://www.lipstickalley.com/showpost.php?p=18934314&postcount=1) with someone that works at ABC and they indicated that the new black sitcom 'black-ish (http://www.lipstickalley.com/showthread.php?t=728623)' is being set up to fail. They wanted it to be so offensive and off putting (http://www.lipstickalley.com/showthread.php?t=772205) that there would be low ratings and they would have no choice but to cancel. Then the network can say that they tried to do a black show, but it didn't work. It lets them off the hook and makes them look like they aren't the raging racists that they are. it's pretty common in the industry, happens with black shows on other major networks all the time.
