Many cast members did not get along well with Melissa Sue Anderson! She hated Melissa Gilbert! Does anyone know why Melissa-Sue was the way she was? She said she was very shy and withdrawn, and when "Mary" went blind, every story that had her as a main character portrayed her in a tragedy. (i.e "Mary goes blind, Mary's baby dies in a fire.") Melissa wanted to written off the show for reasons such as this.

She once pushed Melissa Gilbert out of the wagon! Maybe a Laura and Mary real-life mud-fight like Laura and Nellie had would have been more real-life than anyone would have believed!
