I dont think those are in there. By the way, I forgot to mention that most of us will be lip synching and some of us will really be singing. Rehearsals start TOMORROW. Im SOO EXCITED!
StrudelBone 03-11-2002, 09:24 PM First rehearsal was today. It was awesome. We got our dancing partners this morning and practiced the Jitterbug for about a half an hour this morning. That dance is SOO fun. We did the rest of practice after school. We make our entrance to the song At The Hop. We all come from different directions in the audience and meet up with our partners and start the Jitterbug. Then we go upstage and do the Jitterbug, Twist, Locomotion, or Swim. I'll tell ya about some more later.
StrudelBone 03-26-2002, 08:34 PM The play is next week. It is gonna be soo fun. I lip synch Wake Up Little Susie and Sheila. I might do another one but I dunno yet.

Ags2000 04-08-2002, 09:02 PM Glad it turned out well
D
vienna waits 04-08-2002, 09:20 PM Thats cool! Did you guys actually sing all of those songs? Or was it lip syncing?
Dr. Lilith Sternin 04-09-2002, 01:34 AM *sigh* My 8th grade musical was "Krazy Kamp" by Tim Rice. Oh, how I adored middle school musicals. I was Kate, singing a messed up rendition of "Broadway Baby." No, it was not the same one from Follies. In 7th grade, we did "You Ain't Nothin' But a Werewolf." For a rich prep school, you'd assume they could have afforded the rights to more well-known musicals, as opposed to cheap take offs by Tim Rice.
I can't say high school was too much better. Yes, much better shows... Camelot (Guenevere), Guys and Dolls (Adelaide), Pippin (Catherine). Pippin -- a Fosse musical without dancing. The irony! I don't think Pippin should be done in a high school, IMHO, unless you have the dancers for it. The show is ruined without the dancing! It loses that magic. Especially a Fastrada that can't dance! *sigh* But, I digress.
Good luck on your show!
StrudelBone 04-11-2002, 04:26 PM We lip synched.
