I found out fairly recently that apparantly there was talk of either continuing for a Season 10 (how the hell they would have pulled that off I don't know) or spinning off the character into a completely new show but that negotiations broke down over the summer of 97 (I think it was 97?). If they were going to throw her into a new environment it makes a lot more sense.
