This is my first Fic, so bare with me, lol. Anyhow, I'm just going to ramble on until I can think of a decent plot, lol. So, it's untitled, for now. Tell me what you think of it so far.

It was Christmas holiday and obvious to Kate and everyone else in the division that this was not where they wanted to be. As usual, when there was much work to be done, papers were flung all over the place, piled on top of one another. Magda's plans to fly to New York with Ben and Gabe were disregarded, Angela and CD were off working on the ‘Ms.Kaysdon’ case, and Jinny had to break, yet, another date with Teddy Blumental, whom she had got along with for the last couple of weeks. Everyone was in complete silence and went on with their business, as if not minding each other would be an excuse to leave for home early. Sometimes, it would seem rather queer, for pin drops would be able to be heard miles away. As for Jinny, she knew she couldn’t stand the silence much longer; this made her head spin.

So far, it's still rather pointless, lol. Here's a little more.

The day was still quiet; yet, nothing was done about it. Hardly anyone was in focus. Jinny is rolling back and forth on her chair; turning to CD, she asks, “How’s the case going?” rather pointlessly.
“Well, we have a lead on some of the students whom where departmentalizing at the time, but that’s about it.”
“Oh,” not knowing what to say next.
Angela continues to shuffle through a couple of student records. “You know, none of these students were straight A’s, maybe Ms. Kaysdon had her reasons for punishing them so?”
“I doubt that. There’s no excuse to threaten a child.” CD replied almost too confidently.

It was apparent that the captain was listening to their conversations.
“Aren’t you to suppose to be at Jane Sodel School by now? I thought I’ve told you earlier. This is a serious case. I mean, not any 7-year old would complain to their parents, who in return will complain to the principal that their teacher has been throwing threats and beating her students; one was found dead the other day.”
“No apparently, you haven’t told us this.” CD replied.
“Well, we’ll just be on our way.” Angela added.
With that, Angela and CD grabbed their coats and headed out the door, without saying goodbye. Jinny and Magda, exchanged glances, pondering what was putting their captain in such a mood that day.

Almost a spilt second after, Kate finds herself fronting her daughter, Amanda. More or less dressed appropriately in a black skirt right above her knees, she enters McCafferty’s office without knocking, impatiently waiting for her mother to get off the phone. Kate shows a bit of interest for her showing up without notification, pushes the HOLD button and tells Amanda that she’ll be with her right away. Then carries on with her conversation.
“No, I’m not just sitting here!” Kate says, almost screaming, “…Yes, I’ve already sent two of my most reliable inspectors…yea…uh huh…they’ll be right there…Reide and DeLorenzo…Okay, bye bye.”
Hanging up, she started to realize how caught up she was in the discussion, for she didn’t acknowledge that her daughter had left, just as mysteriously as she had come.

“I can’t believe I’m going to spend my Christmas holiday here!” Jinny grumbled. Acknowledging that no one was replying, she turns around and continues, “Magda, you there?”
“Yeah, I’m sorry, I was just thinking…” suddenly awoken by Jinny.
As Jinny gives her concern look, she asks “About what, Mag?”
“Oh, it’s nothing really, just that Ben and I were really hoping to fly to New York this weekend and I had to cancel. I feel so guilty for letting him down, I mean, you should have seen him when I told him I had to work.”
“Isn’t Gabriel keeping Ben company?”
“Yeah, but I feel it’s not enough, you know. I can’t depend on Gabe for the rest of my life. After all, Ben’s my responsibility.”
“Well, Ben’s his kid too,” was Jinny’s only response, then she proceeds to scribbling on her note pad.

Jane Sodel School inscribed in huge blocks of silver was at view. Angela and CD both begin to unbuckle their seat belts and parts almost immediately out of the car. Both CD and Angela were nauseous; it was a long drive, an hour and 10 minutes to be precise.

As they enter the front steps, a group of 8-year-old girls were playing hopscotch, and on the opposite end, a group of boys were playing basketball. The security guard was at front; sitting at a school desk filling in late passes for various students. He was dressed in blue, and had a badge on his left chest, showing much authority.
“I’m inspector DeLorenzo and this is Inspector Reide; may we speak to Principal Sara Joseph, please?”
He replies, “Oh, yes, the inspectors. I was the one who called- on the phone.”
CD and Angela exchanged puzzled looks.
“Then it must have been your captain, eh, McCafferty? What a woman- quite a temper.”
“Yea,” CD replied, trying real hard not to burst into laughter.
“Right this way, inspectors.”
He leads CD and Angela into a small office. The walls were painted green inscribe with handprints of each student in the school.
Sara Joseph, busily collecting checks and money orders, departed from her desk to greet the inspectors.
As she reaches her hand out for a handshake, she says, “Hi, inspectors I’m Sara…Sara Joseph, the principal of this school.”
“Yes, we’re well aware of that, miss.” Angela declared, reaching her hand out as well.
Principal Joseph points to two wooden chairs a fourth of their height.
“Please…please have a seat.”
