I'm thinking LAW & ORDER and its spinoffs due to dated technology of criminal procedures. Also, many 1970s crime dramas, like QUINCY M.E. and THE ROCKFORD FILES, rely on pre-1980s technology that were bulky and obsolete nowadays. What about THREE'S COMPANY... oh wait, typical misunderstandings would extend to greater misunderstandings in cell phones. There is MIAMI VICE.

I can't think of any other "dated" shows that may appeal many audience today.

I actually like the old crime shows better because they didn't rely on (or didnt have) technology, they relied on old-fashioned detective work and common sense.

Yes,just one of many reasons the older crime shows are far superior. The lack of modern computer technology in all genres of older shows is a good thing.

Yes, I've also always found the modern-tech "immediacy" of more recent crime series tends to make them less interesting. When so many plot points are delivered by stationary characters staring at a computer screen, it gets tiresome. Such scenes literally make me crave older shows, before the whole internet/cell-phone era.

I love Lucy I would say is. Despite the show being from the 50's it still gets huge ratings on the networks it airs.

I agree on "I Love Lucy." While dealing with state-of-the-art circa 1951-1957, Lucy and Ricky and Fred and Ethel make those situations as fresh and timeless today as they were then. (You may remember the colorized 1956 Christmas Special episode was the #1 TV show the week that ended December 14th!)

I agree too. I've been watching episodes of Barnaby Jones, Streets of San Fransisco and Kojak on YouTube and I'm more entertained by them than the current crime shows. They're not sitting at screens making rapid fire and sarcastic dialogue. Also, no boring romance arcs between characters that drag the show down was a huge plus back in the day.
