Defense lawyers for Ethan Couch said he suffered from "affluenza" thanks to his privileged upbringing, and his parents deserve some fault for the drunk driving crash that killed four.

I wonder what the therapy will do. When one kills 4 people and injures several more, you would think this teen would have remorse. My first thoughts, how does one get sloshed and think he can drive and have no accidents. The victims in this case should be so furious. I would recommend this young man to lose his license for life. One can survive without a car. It is tough but losing a love one is tougher. I did hear the family has been hit with all kinds of lawsuits. So sad drunk driving killings go on.

That's awful. He should be doing serious time for that. It's like he murdered them, and his car was the weapon. Shame on that judge.
In my opinion, he should have received twice the sentence he could have
been looking at, about 40 years, 10 for each of his four victims.

He's not getting ANY jail time. He's getting 10 years of straight probation.

I agree it's awful. He should face jail time. It's terrible that he isn't.
He's not getting ANY jail time. He's getting 10 years of straight probation.
I am not arguing the facts of this case. I am just saying he should
have got that in my opinion.

I know you weren't arguing the facts.
I'm outraged that he's facing NO jail time...... that's what I was saying.
OH Nuts!

It is outrageous he is not doing any jail time. Talk about a miscarriage of justice.

The little punk had his chance at life and he blew it. He took his privileged life for granted and killed 4 people while drunk. He also caused two people to be PERMANENTLY paralyzed. One of his victims can only communicate by blinking. If you ask me, Affluenza Boy does not deserve to live. He ruined six lives plus the lives of his victims' families. Affluenza boy should be sentenced to death. He forfeited his right to live when he used his vehicle as a murder weapon.
