ThomasE 12-13-2013, 10:48 PM Larry King - every day for the last 113 years, so IN YER FACE :p Whoa ho ho ho ho! LOL. BOL! LMAO!!! Jesus take wheel because I can't drive from the laughter!!!   :brent BTW, Steve/Stephan was my dopple ganger growing up. I do wear suspenders. They are still in style along with the bowtie that has made a comeback. I wear them both. ThomasE 12-13-2013, 10:50 PM Older and bulkier men where them. I'm not an older man and am lean/fit. I wear them as a fashion choice. It's all about how you make a look work for you. Steve to me was a slave to nerd fashion when it came to wearing them. LOL. Steve to me was a slave to nerd fashion when it came to wearing them. LOL. Sorry Thomas E., I was just thinking about some of my older relatives wearing them. I can see them being fashionable. ThomasE 12-14-2013, 01:44 AM Sorry Thomas E., I was just thinking about some of my older relatives wearing them. I can see them being fashionable. Well, the older generation does wear them but the younger generation or any generation who is fashion conscientious can make it work. I love bowtie and suspender sets. Its old school mixed with a modern touch. Sometimes I will take a juke joints 20's or 30's look and sport that. My niece told me that one of my outfits was similar to what the old people at her church would wear. I told her that where I live, fashion can be brought to life. Some current styles are based on old school fashion. I love putting outfits together. I'm a bowtie, hat and suspender wearing guy. Neutronman67 12-16-2013, 08:38 AM Bill Cosby from the cosby show i think wore suspenders in some episodes Fred Sanford from Sanford & Son wore suspenders MacLeaper 12-18-2013, 10:20 AM Bill Cosby from the cosby show i think wore suspenders in some episodes Fred Sanford from Sanford & Son wore suspenders Back to the point of the thread- that's not real life.;) However, yes- plenty of men wear suspenders if they choose to do so. Larry King is a great example. (lol at "for the last 113 years".) - come on- he's not quite that old. And yeah- The Eleventh Doctor has made bowties cool again for people in real life to wear too. Neutronman67 12-25-2013, 07:40 PM I use to wear suspenders when i was a kid back in the late 1990's nobody made fun of me but if i wore suspenders as a grown man now in the year 2013 going on 2014 in a few days i am sure people would make my life a living nightmare because i would get strange and creepy looks from people like does this guy think he's steve urkel are something muhahahahaha lol, i went to wal mart a few weeks ago to get some suspenders and the cashier person was giving me weird looks she must of been thinking to herself why in the world is this man buying suspenders lol. liane49 04-22-2015, 02:05 PM I use to work in a office and a guy that worked in the company wore them a lot but most people didn't. I hate them. ThomasE 04-22-2015, 02:09 PM I love them. As I said before, they are a sharp kind of style. I adapt to that style with no problem. liane49 04-22-2015, 02:09 PM I use to work with a girl in an office who was married with a kid and wore them but I don't remember if they were that high or not. She said she bought them like that. I don't know if you can actually buy high water pants or she bought them in a petite since she was thin and wasn't short. ThomasE 04-22-2015, 02:55 PM High water pants are back in as well....more so to show off the ankles, shoes and socks that one wears. I just don't wear high waters, though. Furienna 05-22-2015, 08:21 PM Hmmm... How did I miss this thread? Well, I had one pair of suspendors when I was little. But I haven't worn suspendors for the last twentyfive years, and I hardly think that many other people do either. |
