I'd make ALL Employers pay time-and-a-half for employees that have to work on Holidays, and if they are already working overtime, they will have to pay overtime AND a half. It would be for ALL Federal Holidays, including the four "Banker's Holidays" (That's MLK Day, President's Day, Columbus Day and Veteran's Day for those of you in Rio Linda!).

PS All Schools, Public and Private will also be required to give their students the day off so they can enjoy the Holidays in whatever manner they desire. (Teachers would be PROHIBITED to assign Homework on Holidays).

I had to work a half day but it wasn't too bad.

I honored Labor day by laboring. :D I work at a grocery store, and we were actually pretty busy. Apparently lots of people came home from camping and realized there was no food in house.

I just went to my parents for a barbecue...nothing eventful this year.

I worked. But thankfully A VERY big project at work finally ended. Now I can have a life again!

Not doing anything,same as every other Labour day......

Nothing different than any other day, only we are in the worst heat spell we've had in the 55+ yrs I've lived in So Cal....so have 2 fans going and keeping a wet washcloth going ...

I know the heat is temporary but it's been pretty miserable....I can be certain everyone in So. Cal who can get to the teaches, are there.

Have the day off, but we are in a major heatwave here in SoCal ! Just hanging in the house with fans and a room AC that doesn't really work very well. We have some hotdogs to grill and potato salad , but it's really too hot to get excited about that!:confused:

Poor bear ! Our natural habitat animals don't mean any harm , but they get hot and are very hungry ! I know we have to be careful being they are wild animals, but I feel sad for them, esp.in extreme heat or extreme cold ! :(:heart:

This year I actually had off. I went with my mom to the zoo. She really wanted to see the koalas before they go. It was nice but it seemed the half the county had the same idea as it was packed.

We just watched The Waltons marathon on Hallmark Drama and that’s it.

Went camping with my wife and daughter (left Friday afternoon, and came back Monday afternoon)
The weather was perfect for it as it only got up into the low 80s.

Didn't go anywhere except we did grill out with my husband's brother & his wife.
