How often do you excercise?

What do you do to stay in shape, if you bother to, LOL.

I stay in shape by walking. I walk at least a half hour every school day.

As I've stated on this board, I spent most of my life overweight. It took me until I was out of high school to lose the weight. I stay in shape by eating right (naturally), jogging at least three times a week, and going to a gym regularly (though not as regularly as I should).

im normal-but i guess what i believe is normal is a little under weight...

but i am working with machines in the weight room....and right now i play hockey constantly

in the springtime my friend and I (shes an amazing hockey player) are going to rollerblade(gotta get over my fears eventually) which will strengthen our stride and a little help for our legs. There is a park she knows of which we are going to start jogging at to really strenghthen out leg muscels~~and during the spring I ride my bike a couple miles 3 times or so with my mother and then in the summmer it has been my mode of transportation and i love and praise my bike

i would say eat healthy but i like dont eat that much and when i do its junk which is bad on my part so i gotta change that

I don't do much. My diet isn't that great, but then what college student has the perfect diet? Not too many that I know of. I'm going to try to eat better next year. My apartment next year has a much bigger kitchen, so I'm going to start cooking more, which will hopefully be healthier than pre-packaged meals.

I would say I am at a pretty ideal weight right now, not too skinny not too fat. I could stand to loose maybe 10 pounds, but I'm not overly concerned about that.

The most exercise I get right now is from riding my bike around campus. I am going to work out a little this summer to try to increase my upper body strength and my grip strength, because I know from experience I will have to use both those when doing certain vet things or handling certain instruments, and I don't want to be the wimpy girl who has to get help with whatever I'm doing because I'm not strong enough.

I'm a little underweight but I do excersise alot so I don't become a pig :happyface I have PE and we have a treadmill in the garage, sometimes I'll turn my FOL tapes on and start watching them while I excersise. It's really fun though sometimes I'm on it for hours.

I've been felling fat lately got to loose that College Freshman 15 pounds. Well I put on my Jock Jams Cd and there are a couple songs on there that when I hear them I just got to get up and excersise so I've been lifting weights and doing set-ups and riding our excerise bike while I'm watching tv. But I really want to have good looking abs.

I get on a health-kick every once in a while and start doing sit-ups and press-ups and stuff. I'll usually do that every day for about a week before I get bored and revert back to lying around on the couch! I work in an office and I'm sitting down most of the day so I get very little excercise.
I don't eat a lot though and everything I do eat is just junk but I'm one of these lucky people who can eat nothing but peanut butter sandwiches and Kit-Kats and drink as much beer as I want and not gain weight. I'm actually underweight which I'm thankful for cos if nature wanted to be cruel I'd be about 200lbs by now!!

Well, I usually get a lot of my exercise in PE. We work on weight training, run on treadmills, ride bikes, and swim. Also, I swim laps a lot so that helps.

In the summer, every Tuesday there is a road race in the biggest park in Springfield, and I run in that. I don't know if skiing could be considered exercise, as it seems more of a leisure sport, but I ski and waterski a lot.

Well, aside from P.E., I excersise Monday through Friday and Saturdays I have my games. I don't have a balanced diet, but I work it off in the end.

I just started walking on my treadmill almost everyday. One day I got on the scale and realized I'd gained 10 pounds and thought, "This sucks!" so now I'm trying to walk it off to get back to what I weighed in high school. My freshman 15 came in my senior year.

Me too! What is up with that! I weighed the exact same weight, give or take 3 pounds, all through all of high school and most of college. Then like one day last year I woke up and I was ten pounds heavier. I don't even know where it came from. I look pretty much the same, and I haven't put on anymore since, but I sure notice it sometimes when I try to put on certain pairs of pants! It's sad but I want to loose that weight just so I can wear certain pants again because I am too cheap to buy new ones! :p

LOL! I finally broke down and bought new pants. I went to an outlet mall and went nuts buying khakis at the Gap.

I always thought that with all that walking we have to do between classes, I'd make up for not having gym, and I guess it worked for awhile, but now I'm lazier I guess and sit too much in the library!

Bootsy and dawsongirl - same thing happened to me. Everyone always talks about the freshman 15 but I never gained any weight my freshman year. It was only about a year ago that I gained about 15 pounds. I kept thinking my pants were shrinking after being washed so many times (wishful thinking) but nope, I had to start buying a bigger size. At least I'm not alone.

As for exercise, I walk my dog and, if the weather is nice, I ride my bike or roller blade. I wish I could be one of those people who runs every day but I just do not like to run.

Yeah, we're not alone in the fight against the senior 15!

Those runners worry me. They run ALL THE TIME. The ones around here even run in 10 degree weather. I don't even like walking to class in 10 weather. :)

LOL yeah those fanatical runners are a bit crazy. I would never want to run that much. Just wish I liked running enough to go 2-3 times a week.

I walk. I take my walkman with me and I go down to the end of the cul-de-sac and then down the new road and around come out at the other end of my street and back to my house. It's about 2 miles. I also walk from my office to the bus stop five days a week. I walk on my lunch hour occasionally.

During the summer I rollrblade, but once autumn comes around I usually spend more time with school work. The only exercise I ever get is skateboarding on my paper route three times a week. But, it's better than nothing. :)

I try to work out a few days a week, lifting weights and such.

I used to run, but I realized i could cover more ground by subway.

But seriously folks, I ride my bike a few days a week, but now I'm trying to get back into running. Running is probably the best way to lose weight, if you can do it, go for it.

I am probaly in better shape now than when I was in school. And that's not saying much, because I was a friggin mess when i was in school.

I don't exercise nearly as much as I used to. I was once incredibly active. Now I don't have time, which is sad, but I'm not too over weight. If I had the time, I would love to get out and exercise more...

Ummm... a run a mile or 2 or 3 on the tredmill every night, do like 30 pushups (cuz I'm horrible at them) and like 200+ ab things.... and then I'm going to start going to the gym every other day after school. :D
