My "Seat-Kicker/Nothing good to watch on the Hotel Cable System Insurance" arrived in the mail today (My old policy - a portable disk player I bought in 2007 died on me earlier this year). :rip:

It's a Sylvania Portable DVD Player with a 10-Inch Screen and a five-hour battery. You can bet the house I'll be bringing my Case of "Homemade DVDs" to watch while I fly to and from Indiana next month and play in my hotel room before I go to sleep. The case will contain several animated programs, and if I have the misfortune of having a "seat-kicker" behind me I'll pop in a DVD of an animated show, and am more than happy to switch seats so the kid(s) can bide his and/or her time watching cartoons. This has happened to me before, in 2009 while returning from Minnesota (To ride Roller Coasters, naturally) :D a man (who had two "seat kickers" with him) left his seat to use the lavatory. I popped in my copy of the 1967 The Fantastic Four and the seat kicking STOPPED! When the man returned he noticed the kids were peering through the seats watching what I was playing. He asked me if I could switch seats with him and his kids were as docile as lambs for the rest of the flight :angel:. I found out this man was at wits end, because he couldn't get his kids to behave for long UNTIL I let them watch cartoons on my set. Needless to say he said he would buy a portable DVD Player for his kids to use on future trips. :thumbsup:

PS, I gave the disk I was playing to the father (after all, it was "Homemade" and there's a lot more where it came from!). :lol:

Yesterday I got a late Birthday card from my elderly Aunt. I was so glad to see it, because she is one who like my Mother before she passed away, was tried and true ALWAYS sends Birthday cards to people on their Birthdays. My aunt is getting up there, in her 80's and glad she still remembers and is well enough to write and send a card still!

The only other B'day cards I got this year was from my sister and one friend , everyone else just called or Emailed! That is cool, but I love getting B'day cards!

I found this custom cigar from Don Francisco Cigars up in East Brunswick that I really like. You can only buy them from their retail/online store. Guy wouldn't tell me what they make them with, just that there's "a hint of vanilla." There's something sprinkled on the outside wrapper to give it a taste. I can't quite tell what it is, but it's like cinnamon.

Returning home from shopping I saw someone left a box on my doorstop. I opened it up and beheld the sight of 14 frozen pre-packaged meals along with a loaf of bread and several cartons of fruit juices, margarine spreads, cans of peanut butter and jelly and several granola bars. Before I went to work I knocked doors on eight different houses beside my house to see if someone was missing a delivery, but nobody said they were expecting a package of food in the mail. Federal Law states if you got something in the mail you didn't order you have every right in the world you get to keep it, so finders keepers losers weepers! :happyface

They were letters trying to get me to order magazines. One was from Allure and the other was from Glamour. I'd renewed my subscription to Redbook 8 or 9 weeks ago and now I'm getting offers for other magazines that I don't want. Also Consumer Reports sent me a sample magazine trying to get me to order it. I think they must give out your address to other magazines every time you order or renew a subscription. :(

It was funny, I got 2 magazine subscription requests and 2 magazines all of which I never subscribed to in the first place.

I am still getting Kenneth's TV guide magazine even though he died in May 2010 and the subscription doesn't run out until 2018.

I am assuming as long as the magazine is coming to your house whether you ordered it or not you still count as a subscriber.

Goldbergs cookbook. Love this show and have since episode 1.
Duran Duran Funko Pops. I had never bought Funko Pops before but saw a Duran Duran line and since I am a huge fan I bought them (each was about 4 dollars each). I see there are other lines, such as Grease. I'm going to buy more. For Christmas I bought my dad a Black Panther one.

I pay copays for doctor visits and prescriptions. A $5583 bill for a xray or lab work goes in the trash can

Plus it dont affect my credit score lol
