ok..lol...umm..i'm gonna start a fanfic..cuz well i'm bored. this is gonna be focused on jinny and casey and their family and the "gay situation"....ok..here goes.

........At Inspector Jinny Exstead's Apartment.......


Jinny's alarm bell rang....It was 7 AM...time to get ready for work.......


Jinny:ahh..great...work. hmmm...jin it could be worse, you could still be taking a carpool w/ mag or walking to work. and you could be living w/ dad. thank god it's not that.

It had been 4 months since Jinny had found a place to live. Now she was paying her for her apartment, electricity, phone bills, auto insurance-the whole nine yards.

Jinny:hmm..oh tonight's wed. Family poker night. Great. I can hardly control myself.

She opened her closet door and grabbed a pair of her light jeans, and a plain old black shirt. Right now she could care less. She went into the bathroom, used some mouthwash and then went into the kitchen.

Jinny:hmmm...okay toots, you're on your own..might as well start cooking...can't live on take-out for the rest of your life....okay today i will have absoultely nothing edible. *she was looking at everything in her fridge, and everything had expired a couple of weeks ago" Gosh..i need some food. But for now...I have chewy granola bars. mmm...

So Jinny ate her breakfast and then went to brush her teeth. She got out of the bathroom and changed her clothes.

Jinny:leather jacket, or no leather jacket ? hmm..okay we'll wear it today.

Suddenly the phone rang....

Jinny picked it up.

Jinny: oh hey casey....

Casey:*laughs* yeah....

Some guy in the background:Hey casey..

Casey:oh hey jin i gotta go.
Jin:who was that ?
Casey:uhh..no..no one..w-why ?
Jin:mm...no reason. i'll see u tonight ok ?

Casey:bye jinny.
Jin:Bye cas.

......Jinny hung up the phone....

Jinny:mm...that was just..weird. why did he want to make sure i'd be there ? he's never done that. and who was that guy on the phone ?

Suddenly an idea pops into Jinny's head.

Jinny:nah...couldn't be.

Jinny puts her clothes on, grabs her jacket, and heads off to work. She reaches the SFPD at 7:30.

Cap:Jin..u're on
Jin:Time cap ?
Cap:yeah uh..that's it.
Jin:What's up ?
Cap:i need some advil or sumthin.
Jin:Isn't against department policy to "be under the influence of drugs while on work ?"
Cap:yeah well tell it to my migraine. I've been having it for the past 2 weeks.
Jin:Go see a doc.
Cap:yeah..ok..once magda comes in tell me-i'll get u your assignments.
Jin:Ok...will do.

10 mins later Inspector Ramirez walks through the divisoon doors.

Mag:Hey Jin.
Jin:Hey cap's got our assignments.
Mag:oh..where's everybody ?
Jin:uh..doing their job ?
Mag:hahah..muy funny.
Jin:yeah...well...what can i see..it's me !
Mag:yeah..well...
Jin:Hey what's wrong ?
Mag:long night-loong night.
Jin:Wanna talk ?
Mag:no..thanx i appreciate it though.

Captain sees Magda. So she steps out of her office with a folder.

Cap:Magda you're here. Good. we've got a hate case.
Mag:what did they do ? burn down a church.
Cap:no..we got another matthew sheppard story.
Jin coughs. Mag looks at her, remembering Casey's gay.
Cap just looks confused.

Cap:ok..umm..they found his body floating in the bay. apparently somebody killed him and stuffed him in there-not too well.
Jin:How do we know he was gay ?
Cap:oh the best part. yeah..he was beaten up. and not only him but his whole family. The guy who did this went into their home a couple of days ago..kept yelling at them, calling their son a "queer" and then he took their son. Never heard from him again.
Jin:wow....
Mag:Where are the parents ?
Cap:At the hospital. they're stable. They've got some cuts and bruises but within time those will heal. They found out about their son a couple of hours ago. And they're being released in a couple of hours. Might wanna head down there-
Jin:yeah..we're there...
Mag:ok..see you later captain.
Cap nods.

Jinny has a disgusted look on her face.
Mag:hey I know the case hit close to home...

Jinny got a flashback of when she drove to her dad's house, when Casey told JohnJr. he was gay. She saw them hit each other. The blood. Then she was holding Casey. then she took him the hospital. Held his hand through the stitches thinking it was all her fault..if only she had been there sooner.

Mag:jinny ?

Cap gives her a questioning look. Jinny continues.

Cap:Ok well good. Just making sure nothing was going to interfere with your job.
Jin:and it isn't.
Cap:Good, now get outta here and go do your job. CD still here ?

Jinny gets in her car and starts driving to her dad's house.

Jinny looks around. This had not been the family poker night she had had in mind. It hadn't even been five minutes since Casey had come and now JohnJr. hated him all over again. They weren't fighting that much but now there was no chance of them every making up.

JohnSr:So, uhh..Tom, tell us about yourself.

Tom:well I'm no police officer but I'm training to be a doctor.

Jinny's eyes widen and she whistles.

Jinny: doctor..damn..isn't it...
Tom:Hard? *laughs* yeah. but it's fun. saving lives.
Jinny:Hmmm...well I save lives too.
Tom:yeah but in a different way.
JohnSr:Not necessarily. I mean we may not know every medical term but we live to serve *jinny laughs* Jinny...

They spent the rest of the night talking.Talking about Tom's life and his values and everything.

Was that smile just a regular smile to end the evening or did it mean something. Was Tom being just friendly or trying to be something else. Even though Jinny shrugged it off she thought about it the whole ride home.

Just then JohnJr. came into the division. He came up to cap's office and knocked.

The Captain couldn't say anything because the two were two deep in their conversation.

Finally the Cap clears her throat, startling Jinny.
Jinny turns around.

Jinny: cap..I totally forgot...Oh god, I'm so, sorry. Umm..I'll just, we'll just be going.
Cap:*nods*Mm-hmm.
Jinny:Bye.

...they get outside of Cap's office....

Jinny:What the hell was that?!
JohnJr: Oh here we go again.
Jinny:You embarrassed me in front of my captain.
JohnJr:Since when do you care what
she thinks?
Jinny:John, in 5 seconds I will smack you across your face if u do not shut up!
JohnJr gives her a look.
Jinny:Just a warning! *gives him a look that looks like she's crazy*
JohnJr: C'mon, you're not mad at me are u?
Jinny:Mad? Oh no, I'm PAST mad..i'm worse.
JohnJr:Why?
Jinny:John, Casey is your brother if u can't accept him, then who can u accept?

Just then Casey walked into the SFPD.

JohnJr elbows her in the jaw this time.

By now, everyone was looking at them.

JohnJr. was about to hit Casey when the captain came out of her office.

Cap:HEY! knock it off. Leave before I call ur luetenant and have him suspend u.

JohnJr gives her one of his looks and heads out.

Jinny looks at everyone and gives them one of her looks.
Everyone goes back to doing what they were doing.

Cap:U ok?
Casey:yeah...*starts walking out*
Jinny:*nods to the cap, then starts walking towards casey*

....In the hallway....

Jinny:HEY! *touches his elbow*
Casey turns around.
Jinny:What-what did u want to talk to me about?
Casey:nothing...nevermind.

All of a sudden a loud sound came from by the elevator.
Jinny and Casey rushed over to see what is was.

Jinny goes over to Tom and notices that he's bleeding very badly.

Casey:*sighs* C'mon we gotta get you to the hospital. *By now they were officers everwhere looking at them* We'll worry about John after *stares at the elevator that John left in*

Tom, Casey, and Jinny get into Jinny's car.
Jinny turns on the siren and heads straight to the hospital.

They go into the ER. A nurse sees them immdediately.

Nurse: ohhh. what happened to you boy?
Casey: *laughs* my brother decided to do a Jackie Chan or whatever the hell you want to call it.

Jinny knows he's angry but she gives him a cold stare as if saying "stop."

Nurse: *sighs* alright. let's go. uhh...*looks around the room* *points to the only empty bed in the ER* go...
Tom: Busy day huh?
Nurse: oh yeah...

The Doctor goes to check on Tom and comes out to Jinny and Casey.

Doc:Are you his siblings?
Casey:No, *stumbles for a bit* I'm his partner, and this is my sister, Inspector Jinny Exstead.

The Doctor did not seem surprised at all, this surprised Casey.

Doc: You couldn't get ahold of his family?
Casey:He doesn't have one.
Doc: Oh, well fine then. He took a rather bad beating. He's going to need many stitches.
Casey: *nods, remembering his last visit that had to do with stitches and John*
Jin: Will he be ok?
Doc: fine, just fine.


The doctor gave Tom 16 stitches. That's how bad it was.

They all get into Jinny's car.

*Inside the car*

Jin: SO do you want me to drop you off at dad's?
Casey: *looks at Tom* No, can you drop me off at Tom. *Jinny nods. Casey gives her the directions*

They are driving to Tom's house when Jinny decided to bring up the subject. Someone was going to sooner or later and sooner was better than later.

Jin:So, uh, you gonna press charges?
Tom:No.
Casey: WHAT?!
Tom: Casey, he's your brother Casey. You'd hate me.
Casey: look at what the s.o.b *says the initials* did to you.
Tom:Yeah, but.
Jin:well, here we are. Listen, Tom, just think about it. I know he's my brother and all, but you did not deserve what he did to you.

Jinny drives off to her apartment. In the car she thinks about everything that has happened....

They are eating dinner on the couch.

Tom gets down on one knee.

Jinny to herself: Son of a bitch. I mean, does he have no respect? It's not like he's perfect either. What the hell would dad say when he found out? Not like he cares. Great, it's up to Jinny to save the day. Screw this. Ugh! Damn you John! *paces around her room for 5 mins* *finally decides to call John Jr*

She started to pick up the phone but it rang.

Jinny: Hello?
Casey: Jinny?
Jinny: Hey case. What's, uh, what's up?
Casey: Tom and I need to tell you guys something. Can you call John?
Jinny: Uh, yeah. Sure.
Casey: Great. Dad's home right?
Jinny: Uh, yeah. He just came back from walking. He's watching TV downstairs.
Casey: ok, I'll see you soon.
Jinny: Sure Casey.

Jinny started dialing John Jr.'s number.

(JJ stands for John Jr.)

JJ: Yeah, whatta want?
Jinny: Nice way to greet people John.
JJ: What do you want Jin? *cuts her off before she answers* What do you want give me a lecture about hitting my brother's boyfriend? Huh? That we're all the same on the inside. Huh?
Jinny: C'mon John. Listen, Casey just called.
JJ: *laughs*
Jinny: Shut up John and listen for once! YOUR brother wants you to come home. He needs to tell us something.
JJ: *Laughs* why should I?
Jinny: Ok, you know what? I've had enough. Now get your sorry ass down here in the next ten minutes. geez, is it too much to ask you to be here for your family?
JJ: Fine.

Jinny hung up the phone. She had had enough of John Jr. for one day.

She didn't know what was going on with Casey. But it didn't feel right. There was gonna be trouuuuuuble tonight. She could just feel it.

Jinny to herself: Whatever it is, better not land John Jr. in jail and casey in the er. *sighs*

Jinny: That must be casey. and tom. Wonder what's going on.....
