View Full Version : Who else ONLY watches Christmas episodes during Xmas season???
Blackout 07-18-2013, 11:42 PM this creates a HUGE problem for anyone who practices this crazy habbit like myself
example: I am on That 70's Show season 7 and I will not watch the Christmas episode until Xmas season. So I skip to the episode right after and BAM - the plot is based around the previous episode that I have no seen yet. I am going to force myself to wait a good 4 months now before I can finish the season because I only watch holiday episodes during holiday season. I'm a loser, what more can I say for an excuse? :D
who else is like this???
treky 07-19-2013, 02:46 AM no you're not; I do the same thing. For instance this sunday ME TV is showing Christmas episodes on the ME TV SUNDAY SHOWCASE. I refuse to watch them.
Regulus 07-19-2013, 11:07 AM I do the same thing. Right now I'm winding down my Christmas in July week, which id a great way to get your mind off the midsummer heat.
MacLeaper 07-19-2013, 11:27 AM It makes no difference to me. I celebrate Christmas and Easter every day because I celebrate Jesus and His death and Resurrection every day and the salvation He brought with that- so I am always happy to watch Christmas-themed episodes of TV shows. I also love watching Christmas movies and listening to Christmas carols and music all throughout the year.
It's okay if people don't like to do that of course- but for me, I love it any time of the year.:)
tvfan25 07-19-2013, 01:41 PM I love Christmas themed episodes and could watch them anytime! I could also listen to Christmas music all year long too. I love all the holiday themed episodes. I just watched ALF's Thanksgiving last night!
Marvo301 07-19-2013, 01:43 PM Before Christmas I go through my DVD collection and catalogue all the Christmas episodes so that I can watch them all during the Christmas season.
zypherix 07-19-2013, 05:13 PM Random holidays doesnt really mean anything for me, so I just watch the episodes in order.
robyrob 07-19-2013, 06:59 PM i wish they would show more holiday episodes when it isn't the holidays - some of them are good episodes, why should we have to wait for them?
I think the Christmas in July would be a good theme for syndicated shows

I don't feel the need to watch a christmas episode unless it's the holiday season. So I agree

by the time Christmas actually rolls around i am so tired of the holiday overkill I don't even feel like watching any more Christmas shows - i'd rather watch them without all the hoopla
visaman666 07-20-2013, 03:21 AM I rent DVDs through the mail. and for several years in December I would load my ZIP list with Christmas themed sitcom episodes, then for New Years I would rent DVD music shows, such as Midnight Special to get in the party mood. Just like in November I rent war movies for the first 2 weeks and cartoons for the 2nd two weeks, to ease into the Christmas season.
I was METV before there was a METV!

Me too!
Some things for the Halloween and the Thanksgiving episodes!
gilligan fanatic 07-20-2013, 08:38 AM Usually i'll just watch em so I don't have to skip them on the DVD, it really depends on the show for me though
Neutronman67 07-21-2013, 09:20 AM It's funny i use to do that all the time back in 2005 during the christmas holidays i would pop in my favorite tvshow on dvd episodes like sanford and son and good times to have a merry funny christmas by laughing hard lol

I know of at least one show that has done this- on the appropriately named episode "Christmas in July" of "Saved By the Bell: The New Class", the gang celebrates Christmas in July at a country club they are all working at for the summer.:)
(However, this episode apparently aired in October originally, but anyways- at least the theme has been done.)
OH Nuts! 07-25-2013, 01:56 PM I think it's especially nice to watch Xmas eps in the Holiday Season, but if there's a good reason to watch outside of that time, I would do it.
MrCleveland 07-25-2013, 02:49 PM I would watch the Christmas ep on July, November, or December.
For July...because of Christmas in July. And for November and December...self-explanatory.
