Kasey 06-21-2013, 09:29 AM Rhoda is coming to ME-TV starting July 8th. http://metvnetwork.com/mary-rhoda.php This is similar to what Nick at Nite did in 1996 when RHODA aired at 10:30 after Mary. The line was "Classic TV neighbours together again". boechsner 06-21-2013, 12:10 PM What a nice surprise! TVFactFan 06-21-2013, 08:46 PM Now this is the kind of news I want the day before my birthday!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ME-TV is now starting to get it!!!! catlover79 06-22-2013, 05:29 PM Sweet!!! :D biffbronson 06-23-2013, 05:13 AM MeTV is already airing a promo for the series -- but unless I missed her, Valerie Harper wasn't in the commercial...! I guess they're saving her for the next one. I can still remember back when this series had its debut. In fact, I really only remember Valerie from Rhoda (as far as primetime viewing), as my memories of The Mary Tyler Moore Show are from the seasons following her departure. Me-TV took a huge step above Antenna TV with this addition liane49 06-27-2013, 12:09 PM This is similar to what Nick at Nite did in 1996 when RHODA aired at 10:30 after Mary. I wish all stations did that likewow 06-27-2013, 01:32 PM Do you suppose they'll show the appearance by Mary Tyler Moore at the airport? TVFactFan 06-27-2013, 08:00 PM Do you suppose they'll show the appearance by Mary Tyler Moore at the airport? That scene is not part of syndication PrettyinPink55 06-28-2013, 12:37 AM I'm really excited. I've never seen Rhoda before, only MTM, and I'm just starting out with that show too!! stevea 06-28-2013, 09:15 AM I wonder if they'll show the 13 episode season 5--the only ones missing from DVD. We'll see... Mr. Drucker 06-28-2013, 11:37 AM Hi Pretty In Pink!If you're just starting out with MTM,you're in for a real treat.A solid lesson in the evolution of female leads on tv.Enjoy!By the way,I like your chosen nickname for this site,"Pretty In Pink" is one of my favorite movies and certainly one of the '80's best and most classic. TVFactFan 06-28-2013, 03:04 PM They don't show the final season of Bob Newhart, and they skipped the last 2 seasons of Make Room for Daddy. There's no reason to believe Fox would pull those from the syndication package just because they're not on DVD. TVFactFan 06-30-2013, 01:01 AM I am sure they will be airing all 110 episodes. There's no reason to believe Fox would pull those from the syndication package just because they're not on DVD. I hope not because that would make this pickup by Me-TV the most pointless acquisition in syndication history McGillicuddy 06-30-2013, 01:44 AM I wish Phyllis was coming with Rhoda! TVFactFan 06-30-2013, 01:47 AM I wish Phyllis was coming with Rhoda! Phyllis can't be picked up because it only has 2 seasons which is not enough for syndication snowpeck 06-30-2013, 02:43 AM Phyllis can't be picked up because it only has 2 seasons which is not enough for syndication Then how did Nick at Nite run it on and off for four years? Or AmericanLife TV for a year or so? Car 54 Where Are You ran only two seasons and MeTV runs that every Saturday night. There's no reason they couldn't get Phyllis. It may end up depending on how popular Rhoda is. biffbronson 06-30-2013, 05:18 AM Gidget was only 1 season and it's on Antenna TV. I used to watch Phyllis in syndication in the 1990s. McGillicuddy 06-30-2013, 09:36 AM Yeah, I was excited when the American Life channel picked up Rhoda and Phyllis, a few years ago, but then realized I never had that network! Car 54 Where Are You ran only two seasons and MeTV runs that every Saturday night. There's no reason they couldn't get Phyllis. It may end up depending on how popular Rhoda is. Hello Mr. Drucker,:wave: No doubt about it that MTM was groundbreaking, and I look forward to watching the entire series (hopefully, if ME-TV lets me) as well as look forward to watching Rhoda along with it. :D And thank you for your sweet words about my username. I love that movie as well and pink is my favorite color, so it was the perfect username!! ;) :) TVFactFan 07-02-2013, 09:06 PM Hello Mr. Drucker,:wave: No doubt about it that MTM was groundbreaking, and I look forward to watching the entire series (hopefully, if ME-TV lets me) as well as look forward to watching Rhoda along with it. :D And thank you for your sweet words about my username. It had regular time slots on both of those other networks I mentioned. You don't work in TV (and yes, I do) so stop making claims you know nothing about. TVFactFan 07-02-2013, 11:09 PM It had regular time slots on both of those other networks I mentioned. You don't work in TV (and yes, I do) so stop making claims you know nothing about. how bout you just stop posting period? boechsner 07-03-2013, 02:31 PM That is not all together true. 100 episodes is generally the key number of episodes for a series to really be considered for syndication. However, there are exceptions, take The Addams Family, The Munters and Gidget. Phyllis has aired on Nick at Nite before in a regular time-slot and Me-TV and Antenna TV could certainly try to get a hold of this series. Take The Mothers-in-Law, that series lasted 2 seasons and Me-TV is airing it in a regular time-slot. It's going to come down to interest from the network and what can be worked out with the distributor. Phyllis can't be picked up because it only has 2 seasons which is not enough for syndication MRPITT 07-03-2013, 03:17 PM Phyllis can't be picked up because it only has 2 seasons which is not enough for syndication It can't be picked up to have a regular time slot. Well, Antenna TV Showed the Ropers and Three's A Crowd and both had regular timeslots. TVFactFan 07-03-2013, 09:25 PM Well, Antenna TV Showed the Ropers and Three's A Crowd and both had regular timeslots. well i guess there is a chance then lol Loves Old Tv 07-03-2013, 11:25 PM One factor with two-season runs is the length of the season. As the decades have passed, seasons of more recently-broadcast programs have become shorter, leaving fewer episodes available for syndication. Another factor is the frequency of broadcast. MeTV runs many shows only once or twice a week, on the weekends. The Green Hornet was only on one season, and they show that by having two episodes on Saturdays only. Three-season shows Star Trek and Lost in Space avoid quick burnouts by being shown only once a week on Saturdays. Gidget is only shown on the weekends, also. PrettyinPink55 07-06-2013, 12:08 AM you probably look nice in pink:) Why thank you, Solomon! :) TVFactFan 07-06-2013, 12:10 AM Why thank you, Solomon! :) Your are welcome, you probably would look nice in any color:) PrettyinPink55 07-06-2013, 12:49 AM Your are welcome, you probably would look nice in any color:) :o :o You are too sweet!! :D Almost time for Rhoda...who's excited? Has there been any update on Valerie Harper's condition?
