We've had a thread devoted to naming 2 sit-com or tv series stars that starred together in another series.

How about naming 2 sit-com or series' stars that also appeared together in movies (un-related to their tv series):

Andy Griffith & Don Knotts (The Andy Griffith Show) were both in No Time For Sergeants

Bob Denver & Jim Backus (Gilligan's Island) were in A Private's Affair. ( Another poster pointed this out, which inspired this thread)

Well, in that case, here's one example:

Mary Tyler Moore and Ed Asner were in Change of Habit (they never had any scenes together). It was Elvis Presley's 31st and final motion picture.

Lorreta Swit and McLean Stevenson were ina TV movie called SHIRTS/SKINS. I think they played a married couple.

I think the spirit of the question is sitcom stars who starred to gther in a TV series, who also appeared in a movie together. The movie can't have a relationship with the sitcom. Here are a few:

Cold Turkey (film), Newhart (TV series), Tom Poston and Bob Newhart were both in the film and of course the TV series.

The Graduate (film), Captain Nice (TV series), William Daniels and Alice Ghostley were the stars of Captain Nice and both appeared in The Graduate.

The Ghost and Mr. Chicken: this is the gold standard of this question.

The film starred Don Knotts

Hope Summers and Hal Smith also appeared in the film

Bewitched is well represented

Dick Sargent, Sandra Gould and Reta Shaw

Dick Sargent, Joan Staley

The movie "It's A Mad Mad Mad Mad World" from 1963 was like a who's who of comedy legends featuring great names like Milton Berle, Sid Caesar, Jonathan Winters, and Mickey Rooney. I found three different connections in the cast and I'm sure there has to be more among that large group. There was Jack Benny and Rochester appearing in separate scenes as did Phil Silvers and Paul Ford (Col. Hall on the Phil Silvers Show). Carl Reiner was also in it. He was one of the writers and performers on Sid Caesar's "Your Show Of Shows".

Apparently Bradley Cooper was a regular on Alias, which starred Jennifer Garner. And the two were in stars in Valentine's Day (2010). But from what I understand that movie had a lot of stars in it, to the point that it likely doesn't even count, as in that kind of movie, there was is limited development to the characters.

There are a number of examples where a certain sitcom star is just a cameo. Like Mindy Kaling on 40 Year Old Virgin, which really starred Steve Carell.

Some more I found:

Hayden Rorke and Barton MacLane from I Dream Of Jeannie were both in the movie Pocketful Of Miracles. Rorke and MacLane's IDOJ replacement, Vinton Hayworth, were both in the movie Youngblood Hawke.

Brian Keith and Johnny Whitaker from Family Affair were both in the movie The Russians Are Coming, The Russians Are Coming.

Werner Klemperer and Howard Caine from Hogan's Heroes were both in the movie Judgement At Nuremburg.

in addition to Scott Baio and Willie Aames from Charles In Charge, the movie Zapped! also had Sue Ane Langdon and Roger Bowen from the 1970-72 sitcom Arnie.

Sandra Gould and Bernard Fox from Bewitched were in the movie Honeymoon Hotel- of course Fox only appeared occasionally on the aforementioned sitcom. Two others from Bewitched, Alice Ghostley and Alice Pearce, were in the movie My Six Loves-- of course, Pearce died before Ghostley became a regular on Bewitched.

Finally, William Frawley and William Demarest were both in the movie The Farmer's Daughter- a 1940 Martha Raye film, not the 1947 Loretta Young movie that spawned the Inger Stevens TV series; Demarest replaced Frawley on M3S.

You were right the first time, it's actors who starred in the same sitcom who were in a movie together. Let's go to the source, post number 1 by McGillicuddy made on 1/31/2013:
