I didn't know what this show was, and since I had nothing better to do, I decided to watch the whole ep (It was the first one) Boy, am I glad I didn't change the channel, or else I woulnd't be here! Anyone else got hooked when it aired on USA or N@N?

I watched it all the time during its original run on NBC and loved it, but I didn't give it much thought after that... until I saw it again on N@N. Watching it on N@N brought back all the memories. Now I love it even more.

I used to have to sneak and watch it when it was on NBC. My dad did not like the name of the show and he thought it was all about sex. Finally, I convinced him that it wasn't, so he watched it. It was the one with Natalie's "bad reputation." I was of course still not allowed to watch it. I kept trying to watch it on the upstairs tv so my dad wouldn't know. Then, finally around season 6 he found out our minister let his kids watch it, so he figured it wasn't that bad. I watched all of the last seasons without having to be so sneaky. Believe it or not, my dad actually became a big Nancy McKeon fan.

I saw the later seasons on NBC and then saw it in syndication in the early 90's and then basically forgot about it. Then I caught it again on USA Network a couple of times at my cousin's house (I didn't have cable until late 1997). Then when it came to Nick at Nite I really began to watch it.

See what Nick at Nite needs to do is get those good 70's and 80's shows that are not on anywhere. That way we'll watch them. Family Ties, Three's Company, All in the Family, The Jeffersons and The Cosby Show can all be still be seen on local stations throughout the United States. Now if they began airing, The Hogan Family, Small Wonder, Gimme a Break, Webster, Silver Spoons, 227, Good Times or One Day at a Time the same thing would happen to those shows as did with The Facts of Life. People will discover or in my case re-discover classic TV gems.

I remember watching it on NBC when I was very small but I didn't pay much attention to it. Then I started watching it on Nick-at-Nite. That is when I started to love it very much.

 You are what I would call a 'true lifer!' Risking punishment in order to see FOL! I'm glad your dad finally decided that you could watch it in peace and even better-became a Nancy fan!

As for myself, I began watching it during it's run on N@N. The first episode I saw was of the first season and it was the Flood episode. I didn't enjoy it at all and immediately turned it off, vowing never to watch that dumb, girly show again. A week or so later I saw "New Girl" and fell in love. I related to the four girls immediately and was hooked forever. I've been taping and posting ever since!

I saw it when it was on NBC and actually have the original Facts of Life Down Under Movie from NBC. I wasn't forunate enough to have a VCR back when it first came on. Around 85 I had my first child so I didn't get to watch it like I had up til then. But when it came back on Nick at Nite it brought back a lot of memories. My youngest is the one that actually found it on there. SUre wished I had a VCR back when it first came on I would have all the episodes on tape. lol. But being a teenager myself my mom didn't think a VCR was that important. LOL. I sure do as a mom. lol..

When I was 6 I first saws the last 2 seasons of FOL on NBC and then when NBC had it as reruns then I watched it when NAN had it. Also my Brother he thinks it so cool because he was born in 1979 and that's when FOL started.

Lemme tell you this:

I LOVE THE FACTS OF LIFE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have exactly 49 episodes taped from Nick-At-Nite...Mostly from the episodes that had Edna's Edibles.

I have the season 5 opener (One of my favorite episodes) right before Nick at Nite took the show off.

I have taped the first half of the episode: "The beginning of the end" part one, I forgot to press record on my vcr so I didn't catch the second half. I didn't get a chance to tape part two (which is the last episode) which sucks.

I used to tape the opening theme from when it was on Nick at nite. I recorded it like 30-50 times on one tape...which takes up around 49 minutes of tape:):):)

I have BOTH, I mean BOTH of the Facts of Life Movies taped off of Nick-at-Nite...THE FACTS OF LIFE GOES TO PARIS and THE FACTS OF LIFE DOWN UNDER, which is awesome cause they will probabaly never be shown on TV again.

If you need them and for me to record a tape for you of all of them on one tape message me on AIM or Email me. I'm more than happy to record it for you.......if i can figure out how to record a tape. I have before.....Just message me.

I have The Facts of Life Reunion taped also......probly won't show that again either.......why wasn't it on NBC and damn Nancy McKeon for not being on it. She'd rather play a drunken chick on the division than be on her very first TV show......very pathetic.

I need the first episode. AND ANY ORIGINAL TAPES THAT WERE BROADCASTED ON NBC IN THE 80s.......

I started to watch The Facts of Life on Nick-At-Nite...never missed an episode of The Facts of Life marathon on Nick-At-Nite...I even have the TV guide where it has the review on the FOL marathon.

I first saw FOL on USA but only one episode....The one where they are competing against Pete's Deli and they erase the data on his computer and it turned out Pete was getting his data off of Edna's computer.

I watched the 48 hour marathon of FOL on TvLand Fandemodium...I had to get out of work to watch it!

I love the facts of life and that's that!

I am 17 and will always will love it.

Thank you

umm..no. i mean like lisa said "nancy has an acting career going and she wants to focous on that and forget about her childlife." (in tvguide) i mean sure i wanted nancy and i was VERy pset to hear her not coming back cuz i mean you can't have fol w/-out nancy..it's like having a sandwhich w/-out the bread or a juicebox w/-out the juice. ya know ? but there was an article in my local tv book thingy and it explained why nancy turned it down and all so i was like "ok...THAT i can live w/"...i'm just happy they didn't kill jo off...OMG ! I SO AGREE ! why the hell did they not show it on nbc ? what was more important than running a 2 hour re-union movie from the longest running sitcom of yours ? geez. they should've done that. they were probably showing that stupid barbie nutcracker movie or a re-run of friends. go figure...

I watched FOL every once in a while back towards the end of the run on NBC in the late eighties. I don't remember much because I was four years old! But last winter I started watching it again on N@N. It was around the time of the "Revenge of the Eighties marathon" on N@N, when I got all FOL crazy. I had to watch it everynight! My friends were all like "Why are u so obssesed with this random eighties sitcom!?!" "I was like how are you NOT obsessed! It's the greatest show ever!" I didn't even start taping episodes till the spring, and then I was away all summer, and I get back home in August to find that N@N gave it the ax! I was so upset! My origonal plan of wanting all 209 episodes, or whatever the number is, on tape to have with me for the rest of my life, is now ruined! It's all N@N's fault! AND I was away the weekend of the fandamonium marathon, so I only got 1 tape (8 hours) worth of episodes. :(

I used to watch the original run on NBC all the time, grew up watching it actually. I was very young when it first started, so I don't remember alot of the earlier episodes.

My big sister and I used to watch it together, and I remember Blair was my idol! lol 8)

I'd kinda forgotten about FOL until I got cable and saw the marathon on N@N, and just when I get addicted again, they pull it off! waaa 8(

I watched it from 1984(wed nights) to 1988. In 1985 the show moved from wed to sat. I was kid but remember well and remember seeing the weekday morning version at the ages of 4 and 5.

I didn't get to see it in the 80's, I first started watching it on USA, only a few eps. I didn't really like the show that much back then I thought it was OK when nothing else was on. When it came back to N@N I fell in love with it and recorded over 100 episodes and the whole fandemonium I LOVE IT MORE THAN ANYTHING IN THE WORLD! I don't know what happened to me lol.

Well, as an old man of the group, I remember when the show was on NBC. I believe it was originally on Thursday nights, but I'm not sure. I seem to remember it also on Saturday nights (didn't it start the night when Golden Girls first premiered?). I don't remember the early episodes, but I do remember seeing Mrs Garrett take off, George Clooney coming on, and seeing Natalie become a "woman." I thought Natalie looked pretty cute toward the end of the series. I don't think I ever taped any episodes in the old days, but I have some from N@N and from the Fandemonium.

So, yes, I do remember it. However, I'm not so old that I remember the black and white version! :)
