I guess I never gave it a thought but now that I think about - no, I don't think Hugh looks like Nixon.

Well, since all of you are in agreement, I will also add that Nixon could NEVER hold a candle to Hugh's wonderfully handsome looks! :D

No way!! Tricky Dick had those weird eyebrows and shifty eyes. Hugh was very pleasant looking and always seemed sincere (even if he was just acting).

I'm going to say no as well Hugh is more dashing. Not that I go for that sort of thing.Lol. I do however have always thought the Yellow Angry bird looks like Nixon:lol:

Exactly. I think it's a shame this board isn't more active, considering this is one of the great shows of the 50s. Right now I'm burning many eps of it from Antenna TV. I may not end up with all 234 but I'm going to try. I'd love to discuss an ep if I've seen it. And when a particularly moving ep passes my way, I'll start a thread on it.

In any event, I think THIS thread is a great one because it got many of us participating. I bumped up two threads I started to see if that might spark fire. I'm hoping others will begin to start a lot of threads too.

Okay, here are their pictures. Now that I see them side by side, I see your point. Wait a minute . . . no, I don't. :confused:

About the only similarity I can see is that they both have the greased back hair.

Nixon's got the ski slope nose, not present on Beaumont. Nixon also has a long face, whereas Beaumont's is pretty round. They were both born, roughly, around the same time, I believe, so maybe there's a certain generational "look" to them, but really, I think you're barking up the wrong tree here.
