There is no reason why Florida couldn't have waited until the next day to tell James about her desire to go back to school. She should have let James have his moment of good fortune about his job. It was important to him and important to the whole family. Florida's news was only important to her. I still say she was being selfish.

She was just correcting his speech, which I don't think she should have done. James still had an attitude before then because he had an attitude towards the kids. I think James just wanted his wife to stay home, cook, clean and look after him and the kids.

That is because she was overly excited. Florida was always James' cheerleader, he could have taken a seat back and been hers. He could have told her it was wonderful that she was going back to school, and he should have kept it moving. Not get mad and throw a hissy fit.
