Heck no it won't. I'll fly out the day before, maybe even days before. I refuse to spend ANY part of a beloved holiday in an airport.

Plus, I'm not totally sure I'd fly home for Thanksgiving since it's very expensive to fly to Maine and I'd have to do it again the next month for Christmas.
That's a good point. I think I'd want to do both though, just so I could spend Thanksgiving online continuing the tradition.

Well, you still are. :D

*Comes on at noon or so and gloats about the feast I just had.*
This is devastatingly true. :(

On the bright side, I am about to help put the Turkey in.

Really depends for me. I wouldn't wanna spend the day alone, but that would be ALOT of money for a trip I'd be making just a few weeks later.

*Goes to a homeless shelter on Thanksgiving and spends it with the hobos.*

I think it's kind of like the 4th of July Parade here (although that was a PATHETIC excuse of a parade in it's later years) it may have not been entertaining, but it was a tradition.

I actually like the Thanksgiving Parade though, the one here and the one in New York.

Afternoon, fellas. Just got back from Thanksgiving at my Grandmother's house. The usual awkward hunting/political talk for awhile, but overall a good time and some fine food. I had turkey, gravy, ham, stuffing, mashed potatoes, a roll (which as you can see in the picture, I already took a bite out of), and banana bread. Also had a piece of pumpkin pie and a piece of my sister's birthday cake. Needless to say, I am...full. Don't wanna steal TFio's line.

Well, I feel like a truck hit me this morning but I'm very happy.

Yesterday started out with me taking BF to work, and afterwards I had to go straight to the shop to get a new tire put on one of the wheels of my car. After that, it was off to take my sister over to the Hospital to spend the day with my mom.

A little after I dropped her off, me and my aunt went shopping for some groceries since there was absolutely no food around the house since my Mom has been gone. Talk about madness, I could hardly even move around in the store. It was like that Jingle All the Way movie with everybody trying to get the last of stuff for Thanksgiving dinner.

Then I rush over from there to pick BF up from work. All in all, I'm actually feeling pretty good and mostly over that whole cold, which is a miracle in its self, but on the way over there I got the call that my Mom was going to be released from the Hospital at about 9PM from my sister which obviously is a huge shock.

From there it was just madness trying to get things put together around the house to prepare for Thanksgiving actually HAPPENING, and that left me just enough time to drive back up to the hospital to pick up my Mom. I got home about 10PM, and didn't fall asleep until about midnight just running off the pure adrenaline of one of the biggest emotional roller coasters of a week in a good while.
That's awesome, TF. What a night.

Last night I finally got my friend to go with me to Gill's Tavern (bar that sells food). He wasn't sure about going because he felt like there might not be enough people in there besides us since it's small and he never saw anybody go in. That certainly wasn't the case last night. It had a lot of people, some with turkey hats on. Was a little awkward at first, but we ordered beer and talked. It was a nice time. After we left a chick outside said to us something like, "You didn't see anything, you also didn't smell anything".

When I got home I got a facebook IM on my phone and my friend asked me if I was there. He wasn't sure if it was me and I didn't notice him. Maybe because we only met each other once and only talked on facebook that we didn't notice each other.

After I got up I played flag football with my friends. Pretty fun.

It's a beautiful day. Now I need the DINNER.

Looks awesome, man. I actually didn't get a picture of my meal today, I'll have to get some shots of my desserts when I have them. It was kinda awkward doing it at the table.

This truly is the Thanksgiving of miracles, I just got done eating early and the Lions ALMOST won a Turkey day game.

Oh, and just for tradition's sake...I had some Turkey, Stuffing, Baked beans, Macaroni and Cheese, Broccoli, Cauliflower, A Roll, and some Cranberry Sauce. We also had Sweet Potatoes, Potato Salad, Mashed Potatoes and Gravy, and a few other sides. Needless to say, we're all stuffed.

And when I find room, I'm gonna have me some Pecan, Blueberry, and Apple Pie and a slice of Blueberry Cheesecake. :D

my stuffing was HIGHLY experimental this year

used a mix of light and dark rye bread, pumpernickel, wheat and some white, added fried onions, red and yellow peppers, wild mushrooms, celery, oysters and sausage.

robyn didn't like it - too much going on and she says I didn't cut the onions and peppers small enough, too chunky :(

I've been SUPER excited for this. I don't mind if they focus on the new cast a bit, as long as the old cast is featured prominently.

my stuffing was HIGHLY experimental this year

used a mix of light and dark rye bread, pumpernickel, wheat and some white, added fried onions, red and yellow peppers, wild mushrooms, celery, oysters and sausage.

robyn didn't like it - too much going on and she says I didn't cut the onions and peppers small enough, too chunky :(
:( Always next year, buddy.

Hope your meal went well, my man. Anxious to hear details from ye when you get back.

Oddly just got back minutes ago. Corral fell through cause there was a line outside of the door towards the street when we got there LOL. That was not expected.

We ended up going to Coco's and eating there. It was full too but not as bad. Surprisingly to me, both my grandparents had the turkey dinner as well. Dinner bread, turkey, mashed potatoes, cranberry sauce, a biscuit and broccoli/cauliflower (though I ate neither cause I'm not fan). Just finished off a piece of pumpkin pie I brought home and that concludes my Thanksgiving for the year. A guy who looked like Arwin from the Suite Life actually served us  .

my brussel sprouts were AMAZING (ifn I do say so myself - and I did, several times)

robyn won't even TRY them though, because she "don't like brussel sprounts", so we keep arguing about it, her saying she 's tried them before and I tell her that she hasn't tried MINE, and just because she got some BAD brussell sprounts from some seedy guy at a bus stop once she's gotta hold that against the worldwide advancement of brussel sprouts.

i sautee onions in butter and olive oil, then lightly brown the brussel sprouts with them, then I throw them in a casserole dish with some minced garlic and add a few cups of white wine and kosher salt and pepper, then I added some fried, crumbled sausage (usually i'd use some bacon), then cover it in tin foil and roast it in the oven. AWESOME.

She's ok, they sent her home on oxygen because she's still having a really hard time breathing from the pneumonia. Actually, funny story. The medical supply company that works for the hospital that she stays at sent us this oxygenator thing that basically makes oxygen for her, which is fairly small and easy, and this MASSIVE oxygen tank for backup in case of emergency. That thing is like 6 feet tall and looks like a bomb, which is ironic because the first thing they said when sitting it down was "Do NOT move this thing. If you need help with it, call us and we'll move it for you. This thing is highly explosive."

Ever since then there has been a slight worry in the back of my head that I'll awaken laying in a vacant lot down the street in some of the remaining rubble of my home, but that's mostly just paranoia.

I'd like to do it once just so I could be a part of such a crazy American tradition, although I get the feeling that craziness goes on a lot earlier than 5AM now. Stores this year started opening at 6PM, forget 5AM LOL
With the way my memory proved to be this morning, for all I know I did go at 6 PM.

Why is my girlfriend so moody and hurtful? its great when it is great, yet....?
okay here i am! well i am in a relationship that is very VERY good at times and at other times not so good. We have been dating for 6 months now. I am 22 and she is 20 and i am a very patient man, i do not tolerate any sort of physical abuse or mental abuse. I was raised by a single mother and was always always taught at a young as to be gentle and kind especially to women. I have never hit a women nor do i ever think i have it in me. (keep reading you will understand) Anyways we always seem to get into fights and i feel that i always get the bad end of the deal. I will give an example: so last night she tells me that she is going over to a girlfriends house to talk about that friend covering her(my girlfriend) shift at work, so at about 10:00 pm she goes over to her girlfriends house. I stay home and play cards with a few of my buddies, then i get a text at 11:30 pm saying "hey **** got deep and i am just working it out, i will call you when u when i have a chance." I dont respond to the text because i want to give her, the space she deserves and most likely needs. Then 12:30 am rolls around and i am tired and all my friends have gone so i text her "good night" and then 5 mins later "call me if u have a chance." I try to stay awake and i end up falling asleep in about 5 minutes lol.

I am suddenly awaken at 2:30 am by my girlfriend stumbling around my bed room (she doesnt live with me by the way). I wake up and ask her what is going on and immediately notice that she is beyond drunk. I ask her if she is ok and she says she drank a half a bottle of Taquila and doesnt feel too well. (big supprise) i dont really know what to say, i mean i was awaken from a sleep at 2:30 am and am fairly confused as to what is happening. So at this point i feel very mad because she said she was going over to a girlfriends house to get her shift covered and now shes waisted. So i dont know how to communicate that i am mad and feel hurt that she said that she was just going to talk to a GF about a shift and is now waisted, but she tells me that she has to throw up and so i go into the bathroom with her and hold her hair out of the toilet and she pukes for about 20 mins. round one is over. she sit on the edge of my bed and im kneeling down on the floor in front of her, and i ask her "why are you here right now" and she says "well ur lucky i came over here i could be at anybodys house right now, micheal was at her house i could have gone home with him" and then i kinda snap i say "no wonder why your relationships in the past have failed" and then she hit me. She opened handed slapped me across the face. This is the 5th time she has done this now.

The last time this happened i told her that i would leave her if she ever did it again. im not talking about a weak little smack smack im talking about a slap. with some right hook in that thing. then she puked again and then she ends up falling asleep in my bed at 430 or so am. im just lost as to what to do. she gets really mean and moddy and i feel like i am being taken for granted, and treated like ****. literally. then when i try to talk about it with her in the morning she says "sorry babe i was just really drunk"

what do i do!! break up with her like i said i would or give her another chance... i feel like if i do this will just keep on happening.

Thanks,
Phill

This hilarious moment happened with my Uncle today at my Grandmother's house. Him and his wife were in some argument about something (not a serious one) and she was trying to get him to do something he didn't want to do like watch the dog in the morning while she goes Black Friday shopping. She was ranting about this for like a full minute to him, then he looked to me and said "Choose your wife wisely".
that reminds me of an episode of dDivorce Court i saw once - the woman was just YELLING about how her husband did THIS and THAT and THE NEXT THING, all a buunch of stupid nonsense, all the while the husband stood there quietly minding his time, and when the woman was done, the judge looks at the husband and says "well, Mr Soandso, its your turn" and the husband says,

"Yer Honor - that bitch is CRAZY."

:(. Meeting Burt Ward sounds awesome at least.

I never met any celebrities aside from wrestlers. Frankie Muniz agreed to open a deli with me on Twitter once though.
You know I met all the Supernatural guys :D /brag

omg that's amazing though he should really do it

LOL

If he really hated Thanksgiving, he's no friend of mine. He does have a point though, that always being on a different day is confusing as heck. The only thing worse about that is Easter which can be in a totally different MONTH.

Doesn't confuse me at all and to be honest, I think I'd be depressed if Thanksgiving were ever on like a Sunday LOL.

I like it being on Thursday alot. It just FITS.

You should go to the Chicago Supernatural convention! There is one next year I'm sure. Jensen is great, and Dean is my favourite but he is nothing like Dean at ALL. he is a quiet guy. Jared is way more out going and easy to talk too I was able to tell him what episode I first watched!
