View Full Version : Demond Wilson says that Nathaniel Taylor didn't like him. DJM77 10-28-2012, 09:05 AM http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sJ5Iuz2gwvg Retro4Life 10-28-2012, 11:06 AM They were high most of the time? And Aunt Esther brought it? Sorry to hear the two didn't get along; they did have good chemistry onscreen, though it was always hard to like Rollo. GARFIELDKOOL 10-28-2012, 11:19 AM That surprising! But what's even more surprising is that Demond said he hasn't seen Nathaniel since 1977! 35 years and the year Sanford and Son went off the air! Damn! Cloud9 Lorraine 10-28-2012, 12:40 PM Great video, thanks for posting! Aunt Esther???   gilligan fanatic 10-28-2012, 12:44 PM That surprising! But what's even more surprising is that Demond said he hasn't seen Nathaniel since 1977! 35 years and the year Sanford and Son went off the air! Damn! Yeah, they must not have liked each other to go 35 years without contact. DJM77 11-10-2012, 12:45 PM I have a friend who says he used to hang out with Nathaniel Taylor in St. Louis, in the 80's. I asked him if Nathaniel ever told him any Sanford & Son stories. His reply was, "No, we were too busy listening to music and getting high." TVFactFan 11-10-2012, 01:52 PM Why was Demond mentioning that Nathaniel Taylor a head full of gray hair? What is a man's hair supposed to look like at 74? Sounds like he was HIGH during this interview with that dumb a$$ comment dbiggs 06-18-2014, 09:57 PM Demond Wilson was a real a-hole which explains why they didn't along! Sonny Carson 06-19-2014, 11:59 PM Demond Wilson once made an appearance at my cousin's church a couple of years ago. He's "supposed to be a minister" but when he came up to speak the organist played the sanford and son theme song as kind of a joke. Wilson had the guy replaced and the preacher suspended him of his organ duty for a month. He's an arrogant a-hole and that's probably why Nathaniel Taylor didn't like him! dbiggs 06-20-2014, 04:57 AM To me he wasn't that great an actor! Sounds like Demond Wilson isn't that much different from Lamont Sandford. I don't know why these actors take offense to the characters that gave them their greatest fame. No wonder he didn't have a career in acting. He sounds bitter. king of comedy 06-20-2014, 06:17 AM Poor Lamont. cleverfun3000 06-20-2014, 01:46 PM Why would anyone think that actors, who are working for a living, would have any need or reason to become friends with their co-workers? I am sure that there are those of you reading this thread that had co-workers that they haven't seen or contacted in 10 - 15 - and even 20 years or more. Is it because you hated your co-workers or is it more likely that the job you both worked at was no longer the common denominator between you and them? Job done - so is the reason for you and them spending anytime together. But on the other hand, I had a good relationship and became good friends with a couple of co-workers. It happened gradually and naturally. We just bonded. And there are actors and actresses who are best friends with their co-stars, so it's possible. Demond Wilson was probably a ******** in real life LOL GARFIELDKOOL 06-28-2014, 08:05 PM Demond Wilson was probably a ******** in real life LOL Notice you never see or hear Demond mentioned Lawanda Page, Whitman Mayo, or and other S&S cast members over the years. Or any of them mention him. Seems to me he was the distant one. And when Redd Foxx died, he didn't attent his funeral. Entetainment weekly is where I got that source. They mentioned he was out of the country when Foxx died. It's been guys I worked with and socialize with on the job but wasn't crazy about being around after hours GARFIELDKOOL 06-28-2014, 08:38 PM It's been guys I worked with and socialize with on the job but wasn't crazy about being around after hours Me too, but like I stated in my earlier post, you can be friends with co-workers off the clock. As far as actors, look at Andy Griffith and Don Knotts. They were best of friends. Jackie Gleason, Art Carney and Audrey Meadows. It can happen. Demond seems to be reclusive from many of the cast. I am not knocking that at all. Sanford and Son was just a job to him. Will Dockery 07-19-2014, 07:35 PM Why was Demond mentioning that Nathaniel Taylor a head full of gray hair? What is a man's hair supposed to look like at 74? Sounds like he was HIGH during this interview with that dumb a$$ comment That sure does seem a silly comment to make... Demond seems jealous of Nathaniel for some reason. magellan333 07-22-2014, 11:16 PM In Second Banana, Demond mentions how he and Redd were close early on and Redd later became dismissive and distant. From what I read he seemed to be quite the professional as an actor. Maybe he saw his time on the set as work life and never sought to mix it with social life. His 30+ year marriage shows he did something different than the Hollywood norm. |
