View Full Version : Identify these episodes for me please
You would think I'd know all of the episodes by now, but now. Some are still unknown to me.
I saw a clip of I Love The 80's which featured a segment on Unsolved Mysteries. Towards the end there was an older woman who was standing in a dark room. She turned around and Robert said "Kay had just enough time to catch a glimpse of the stranger." Or something like that. I don't know what episode that was.
Another episode I actually saw on the new version of UM. Some guy who was a member of a radical constitutionalist group shot a cop who pulled him over. I believe this guy used to host his own radio program too.
Any details or updates pertaining to these two cases would be appreciated as well. Thanks.

The first one was a haunting story about a couple by the name of Tatum. I remember something about a ringing bell in the house, too.

The first one is the Kay and Jim Tatum case. They lived in Atlanta, Georgia and Kay claimed that a ghost was teasing her. They kept a bell out that Kay used to signal for Jim if she needed something. The "ghost" used the bell when Kay was asleep, so they decided to have a secret code in which if she rang it 3 times, he'd know it was her. The "ghost" kept ringing the bell even when Kay was asleep, so they stopped using the bell for communication. Famed parapsychologist William Roll investigated the case.
I don't recall the second one but the only one I know about a cop being shot after pulling someone over was Martin Ganz, who was shot in December of 1993 while taking his nephew with him out on patrol.
justins5256 08-30-2012, 09:07 AM First one is, without question, Jim and Kay Tatum and the poltergeist from the October 1988 ghost themed episode.
The second one is a Lifetime created episode from 2001 or 2002. I saw it semi-recently, but I forget the guy's name. He was some ultra right wing militant nutjob who was trying to start a "war". He was pulled over for some extremely minor traffic offense and opened fire on the officer. He was subsequently caught not long after this aired. I could probably find it as I have the episode on a DVD. If anyone remembers the dude's name, please feel free to post it.

Aired in 2002 and he was captured about a year later.
Or was it some guy in a brown van? Or at least it was a brown van in the reenactment I think.

Tracy,
You're correct. Stephen Anderson was the guy I was referring to.
Thanks.

I vaguely remember the case but I've definitely seen it before.
WishfulDreamer 08-31-2012, 02:18 AM Just because I don't want to create another "help me identify this case thread" can anyone tell me the names in the case where the man shoots his ex-wife when she comes out of the shower and shot her lover in the living room? It's a later segment and that one haunted me because of the reenactment where she grabs the shower curtain and the rings pop off. I want to find it on the forbidden site!

Wow, that was fast! Thank you, that's it. I'm going to go a-hunting now. Those later segments can be difficult to find.

You're welcome. I had no luck finding it, but maybe you'll have better luck finding it than I did.

No luck. It's been ages since I've seen that segment. Yet another time I wish they'd put more of these cases out on DVDs! They really should consider especially because of these still-wanted fugitives like Kemp; they'd make bank (people still love unsolved mysteries!) and potentially help catch more criminals- what do they have to lose? Missing persons cases especially should be released, in my opinion.
I know that the early 2000s cases are not as popular (and I agree that the quality is much lower) but some of them are so interesting and difficult to find. I'm hoping that more of them get released.

He was profiled on a recent episode of America's Most Wanted.
