Wasn't Newman one of the witnesses in the courtroom in the finale??

I don't remember Newman being on the witness stand, but he was present in the courtroom during the trial. And when they were out on recess, I remember him napping in the car after he was through snacking on some potato chips.

I'd have to watch the episode again, since my curiosity is peaked!
