A few days ago I purchased the DVD set of Honey West, the entire series, and have really got a kick out of it. I do have a couple of questions for discussion:
1. Was Honey West the last American network primetime television series that was NOT a sit-com to be 30 minutes long? Having grown up int he 70's, to my memory, 30 minute shows are always comedies and dramas/action show etc are always 60 minutes. That was nto the case int he early days of tv, when many dramas were only 30 minutes (Twlight Zone, Have Gun Will Travel, etc) but I can't think of a drama or action show after Honey West that was just half an hour. Anyone else?
2. Did Anne Francis perform her own stunts on this show? Usually in tv series from this era, and often even later, female stars were replaced in the stunts with a small thin male stunt-man. Uusally the gender of the stunt-man is pretty obvious. On this show, it looks to me like the stunts, even the most physically challenging ones, are performed by Anne Francis hereself. If there was a stunt double, it was rather - er.... obviously, a female one.
