I have a "help me identify this case" thread of my own, if that's OK :wave:

Young-ish guy is in Mexico(?) with his brother and a girl. He gets drunk and goes to the girls house and he is a bit shouty. She calls the local fuzz on him and he gets taken away to a local jail. He is then found dead without his t-shirt on and it is claimed that he commited suicide (of course).

Anyone help? - the details above may be little inaccurate in places, dependant on my memory!!

This is the baffling bit!;

Results: Unresolved. In 1993, Mario's body was exhumed and a new autopsy found enough evidence to prove that he was murdered. Soon after, a police officer named Jose Antonio Verduzco Flores was arrested, convicted of his murder and sentenced to eight and a half years in prison. The conviction was overturned four months later and he was released. Mario Amado's murder remains unresolved, although many assume that Flores was the killer.
