EmoJoe 05-07-2012, 01:51 PM Interesting thoughts on NBC. I wouldn't mind that schedule at all, although I almost think the new comedies should be put by themselves on another night and the current 4 should remain on Thursdays. With CBS supposedly expanding to 2-hour comedy on Thursdays I think Thursdays are pretty much shot for NBC anyway, so if they're going to launch new comedies they might as well try the easier Tuesday or Wednesdays. Or, maybe move one of the Thursday shows to Wednesdays at 8, put a new comedy at 8:30, and maybe slot one of the other new comedies behind The Office.
I also think either Whitney or Up All Night might get a pity half-season renewal next year, just as a save-face move for NBC since they haven't had a comedy make it to a second season since Community in 2009.
Pavan 05-07-2012, 07:18 PM Here's our NBC preview for those who haven't seen it:

Late word is Save Me is the second comedy to be picked-up. Female centric comedy starring Anne Heche. Possibly pairing with 30 Rock? Also New Normal and drama Revolution is picked up.
EmoJoe 05-07-2012, 07:19 PM Deadline is reporting Friday Night Dinner is likely not going forward and that Whitney's renewal chances are slim. A little surprised about FND, not so much with Whitney though.

Downwardly Mobile will be picked up maybe then. It is not getting much press on Deadline, but that doesn't mean anything.
Mr. Television 05-07-2012, 07:27 PM I would give the Roseanne sitcom a chance even though I'm not her biggest fan anymore. The rest doesn't interest me that much.
mets82 05-07-2012, 10:16 PM I think whoever is in charge of NBC programming needs to be fired. I mean look at the hits on ABC. Modern Family, Subergatory, Dont Trust the B..., Revenge etc.
CBS has Mike and Molly, 2 Broke Girls etc.
What does NBC have? The schedule doesnt look that appealing to me.
GolfDude 05-09-2012, 03:50 PM the shark tank facebook account a few months ago confirmed they were back next season as they are already casting people for next season, unlike this year where they had to split time with EMHE, they dont have to worrry about that next year and can produce more episodes.. remember they added more episodes to this years order causing those odd repeats runs last month b/c they had a smaller order initially but ratings were solid enough for them to produce a few more later on.. i fully expect a regular season sized order for them next season

Now that Chuck has gone off the air, I don't watch one show regularly on NBC anymore.
James28 05-10-2012, 01:43 PM So far, CBS has picked up no new series for next season. I would speculate that it would be the final season for Rules of Engagement, How I Met Your Mother, and Two and a Half Men. I'll disagree with Pavan on CSI Miami being dumped after this season. There was speculation that at least one of the CSI spinoffs will be dumped after 2011-12 season. By the look of its last episode, CSI:NY is the one not returning, so please dump NY instead of Miami?
Pavan 05-10-2012, 07:36 PM James28: How I Met Your Mother is already renewed, as mentioned in our preview, and Two and a Half Men just recently wrapped two-year deals for their stars so CBS will announce a two-year pick-up soon.
Right now word is CSI NY is coming back over Miami. From insiders, not my thoughts.
James28 05-10-2012, 08:13 PM Sir, please do not start an argument/dispute. I'm not gonna agree with those "insiders". CSI: NY cannot return after this season. It's done. If NY is renewed, then it'll again have to face the challenge of crafting a season finale which could also serve as a series finale. The writers of the show had to do this for the second season in a row, and I just do not think there will be a third occurrence of this. The eighth season finale (and essentially the final episode of the series) involves Mac fighting for his life after getting shot and the team having to bring the shooter to justice. Can the series end with that? Regardless of how the finale turns out, I'd rather cancel NY than Miami. We won't find out for sure until tomorrow. Please, no season 9 for NY. Just let it go.

NBC is my most-watched network. So...speak for yourself.
But, the shows I watch are seemingly the ones NBC doesn't care about much, so...

Actually CBS is the most Watched TV Network and have been for the last 9 Years. NBC is in Fourth Place and have not been the most watched since 2003, Fox is in Second close behind CBS with ABC in a close third. NBC is a distance Fourth with CW is in Fifth place.
EmoJoe 05-11-2012, 02:42 AM That's cool. I said it was *my* most-watched network though.
yankeesrj12 05-11-2012, 09:12 AM CSI: NY should be dumped before CSI: Miami. If its the other way around, I'll be surprised.

Sorry, I did not see the 'My' in there.

I could sort of see the reasoning for keeping NY around, since they can just keep on Fridays where it's not really effecting much. At the same time though, what's the point?
noveel 05-11-2012, 10:38 PM Most watched network doesn't matter to advertiers if most of those viewers are over 50, they care more about most watched 18-49
USATVFAN 05-11-2012, 10:43 PM It's look like ABC Renewals/Cancellations and Pilots pick-Ups fro 2012-2013 season is complete. With the announcement that Last Man standing has been renewed for a second season. ABC picked up 11 Pilots. NBC is pretty much complete as is Fox. Just waiting on CBS... Which is the one I am most anxious to see.
NBC picked up 14 Pilots

You're right. I bet CBS wishes they could change places with NBC. lol
Since Alcatraz got canceled, there's nothing for me to watch on network TV. Maybe there will be another midseason replacement in 2013 that will catch my interest but I doubt it.

There is no argument. CSI: Miami was just canceled. Our sources were right and so were "the insiders."
James28 05-13-2012, 02:03 PM ^^I will never forgive you for this. CSI:Miami cancelled instead with no proper wrap-up. I should be furious. Generally, it was nothing but a terrible move. Should have ordered a wrap-up movie for CSI:Miami.
Pavan 05-13-2012, 02:06 PM You're not forgiving me for something CBS did? I was telling you what we heard and it was from good sources, not opinions like you gave.
Brent88 05-13-2012, 02:11 PM LOL
