ok..so here's a fanfic by me !! :D

It was Sunday night. 9:00 PM. Work was over. Jinny sat on her bed in her father's house for the last time. Well the last time she would be apartment-less. She had found an apartment that had very low rent. And since she had gotten her paycheck last week Jinny had decided to go for it.

Jinny to herself:Why didn't they invite me to the bar ? I mean it's not like I would've gone..I'm sure I wouldn't be able to handle it. But just offerring would be have made me feel so much better.

She glances at an 8 by 10 pic frame w/ a pic of her and her mom just 3 weeks before she killed herself. Or as Jinny put it blew ehr brains out.

Jinny:WHY MOM ? why'd you go ?

Just then Jinny's Dad kncoks on the door, startling Jinny. She jumps up.

Jinny:Come in.
JohnSR:Hey Jinny girl. Listen dinner'll be ready in 10 minutes. Casey and John should be here soon.
Jinny:Great I'm starved.
JohnSr:Ok good.

John Sr. leaves.

Jinny starts going through her desk drawers. Just then she found something. Her diary. She hadn't thought of it in ages. She used to love to write in it every night. But one night she stopped. The night after her mom was killed.

Jiny turned to the last entry with shaky hands.

The top read February 18.

Jinny started reading.....

Dear Diary-
you're not going to believe this. Mom, she, well, she killed herself. I was coming home from school and I found her..dead...in the bathroom. Everybody came..they took her away. It isn't fair. They say she won't come back..ever ! it's not true it just isn't. how can it be ? just 12 hours ago she was calling me and telling me I'd miss the bus if i didn't scoot my little booty in the kitchen. I remembered she wrote me a not and put in my lunch box. I'll put it in an envelope. and put the envelope in here. Mom's gone ? It's just so unbelievable. Dad's calling. I'll write more later tonight...


That was all that was written on the last entry. Then Jinny saw a small envelope taped to a page of her childhood diary. She opened it slowly and carefully. She took it. It was the last note her mom wrote her. She began to read it....


Jinny I love you. And I will always love you. Even if I'm not here. *Jinny remembered thinking how confused she was about that last sentence when she read the note* But I want you to know...you and your brothers have given me such joy. Being a mother is wonderful. I pray that you will make it in the real world. If you decide to be a cop then I just want to say I'm sorry I can't be there to watch you. Take care and remember my love, I love you.


It was all clear now. THIS was her mother's suicide note. She had written it to Jinny. When Jinny first read it she didn't undertand at all. Then she got home and found her mom but she didn't put two and two together. After they took her mom's body away Jinny put the note in an envelope, secured it w/ tape, and taped it to her page.


JohnSR: *Yelling* JINNY ! CASEY AND JOHN ARE HERE !
JohnJr:Let's eat !

This startled Jinny and she put the diary back into the drawer....

Jinny, casey and JohnJr all look at it in digust.

Jinny:Uh you know what dad ? I'm not THAT hungry.
JohnSr:What are you talking about ? it's delic ! here...*offers some to Jinny*
Jinny:*has a disgusted look on her face* no dad really. umm..i know how much you love chicken and all so i'll let you have it....
Casey and JohnJr:Yeah....
JohnSr:Yeah it's a little burnt huh ?
Jinny, Casey and JohnJr:No really ?
JohnSr:ok..we'll order pizza. What do you guys want.
Jinny:MM...mushrooms and olives.
JohnJr:Pepporoni.
Jinny:John that's dead pig.
JohnJr:Yeah so ? A man's gotta eat ? whatc you talking about jinny - you eat dead animals all the time.
casey:I want pineapples.
JohnJr:Pineapples ? gay ass *** *he mumbles that under his breath*
Casey:I heard that john.
Johnsr:Heyheyhey...we'll get a pizza w/ works..k ?
They all agree.

So they eat pizza and now they're watching tv.

Jinny:Dad this is the last night i'm gonna be here
JohnJr:*sarcastically* what u gonna shoot yourself ?
Jinny gives him a look that says "You know what john i'm not talkin to you so why don't you just shut up !"
JohnJr backs off.

Jinny:Anyway....Uh..Mr.Stephen...
JohnSR:Mr.Stephen ?
Jinny:yeah that's my manager's name...dan stephen.
JohnSr:Stephen..dan stephen....*clicking his tongue*
Jinny:Dad ? Dad you ok ?
JohnSr:Oh uh that name it sound sounds familiar. like...no...it couldn't be.
Jinny:WHAT DAD ?
JohnSr:Oh nothing..nothing at all.
Jinny:Dad I'm serious.
JohnSr:I am too..there's nothing to talk about. Listen john don't you have work to do ?

Jinny got this weird feeling that her dad was trying to avoid the subject. Maybe they were friends ? Maybe they worked together. Maybe he was his manager ? Maybe.......

She walks to the managers office.

Dan pops up outta nowhere...

Dan: Hey Jinny !
Jinny: hey...ok so umm...can i have a key to my apartment.
Dan: oh yeayeahyeah..sure...first i need to see your license.
Jinny: WHY ?
*dan points to a sign which reads IT IS APARTMENT POLICIY TO CHECK INFORMATION OUT BEFORE MOVING IN*
Jinny: ah...i see...*hands him her liscense* might as well keep it..not like i need a use for it.
Dan: No car ?
Jinny: please...

Dan looks at his computer screen.
Jinny: anything wrong ? Dan ?!

Dan just looks at the computer screen.

Jinny snaps her fingers in front of his face.

Jinny: DAN ! EARTH TO DAN !
dan: Oh sorry...your last name's exstead.
Jinny: yeah and yours is stephen. so ?
Dan: was your mom's name Jennifer Exstead ?

*Jinny has a very confused look on her face*

Jinny: yeah...why ?
Dan: oh my god...so you're jenny and john's little jinny girl.
Jinny: uh....*still looks confused* how did you know my mom ?

Ok...so here she is in front of her new apartment.

Jinny:mm....furniture ! that's what i need ! i need a bed. i can't believe they threw my old stuff away...those creeps. anyway...

she grabs the phone, which has been previously installed compliments of dan, and dials her dad's number.

Jinny:Hey dad. it's me.
JohnSr:Hey ! Jinny ! so how's the place.
Jinny:yeah great listen dad...the guy, my manager, he knew mom.
JohnSr:Really ?
Jinny:Well aparently slap my butt and call me abraham means yeah he knew mom !

Jinny:How ? what did you guys all go to the same country club or somethin ?

So Jinny takes some advil and goes downstairs to get a taxi. She was NOT going to call Magda not today.

Dan sees her just as she is about to leave the building.

Jinny turns around and gives him a look that says "What the hell do you want NOW ?"
Dan:Woah ! Did you get enough sleep last night.
Jinny:No you see, I found out that my mother had an affair.
Dan looks uncomfortable.

Jinny gets a cab and drives over to the divsion.

Jinny jogs out to the street when she relizes there aren't any phones. So she runs up to the division and calls a cab on her phone. Magda laughs.

Jinny out of breath:It's not-not funny.
Magda:Calm down..it's just a doctors appointment. no biggie.
Jinny:NO biggie ? I think you've been spending too much tome around ben. the people at aa will tear me up if i forget to go for my monthly checkup. (this was aa requirement for new people who joined) Not to mention our lovinging cap will kick me out on the street.
Magda:I don't think so. she seems nicer towards you.

So Jinny reaches the doctors office...

The assistant:Jinny Exstead ? Jinny ?
Jinny:That's me. *she puts the magazine she was reading back on the shelf*

She enters the hall with the room thingies (lol).

Assistant:Room number 2 please. the doctor will be with you shortly.

15 minutes later...

Jinny:Shortly..yeah right.

Just then the doctor opens the door, startling Jinny

Doc:Whoops. did i scare you ?
Jinny:No, just wanted to get the circulation back in my legs.
Doc laughs.
Doc:Ok...so you've been sober what ?
Jinny:6 months.
Doc:Ahh...6 months. So uh..
Jinny:listen doc, you're not my sponsor and this does not look like an aa meeting so can we change the subject ? please ?
Doc:Sure. Ok..let's check your weight.

Jinny gets on the scale.

The doctor opens her folder.

Doc:Wait a mintue. Just wait a minute.

Jinny :WHAT ?

The doc leaves and brings another envelope.

Doc:Jinny was your mom Jennifer Exstead ?
Jinny:Yeah..why ?
Doc:What happened to her ?
Jinny:She killed herself. you didn't know ? it was a long while ago. ok anyway.
Doc:OMG ! no are you serious.
Jinny:Why would I joke about this ?
Doc:What did she do with the uh...
Jinny:The what ?
Doc:Well it might me "medically incorrect" to call it this but..the baby. what did she do with the baby ?

Jinny looks shocked. Her face is what. And she is SPEECHLESS !!

Jinny reads it.

Jinny:She came to you 2 weeks before she killed herself.
Doc:Are you serious ? She was only 2 months pregnant. She had just found out.
Jinny:Oh my god.
Doc:Jinny ?
Jinny:Uh..I'm gonna be sick.

*She runs to the bathroom where she vomits*
*Comes back*

Jinny:Sorry.
Doc:Want some advil or sumthin ?
Jinny:No. Listen can I uh take this.
Doc:Um no I'm sorry not possible.
Jinny:It's over 20 years old ! What do you think the dead's gonna come up during the night for a checkup.
*The doctor saw that she was really upset*
Doc:ok...fine. but you have to bring it back.
Jinny:Yeah tomorrow. we'll finish this checkup tomorrow.
Doc:Jinny-
Jinny:Please. i can't handle this right now.
Doc:Ok fine.

Jinny leaves the doctors office and walks to her dad's house. She cried the whole way.

Jinny reaches her dad's. She rings the doorbell. SHe had a key but she didn't want to search for it.

She rings the bell. her dad comes and opens the door.

JohnSr is suprised.

JohnSr:JINNYGIRL !!!!
Jinny:Save it. *she walks in and puts her head in her hands*
JohnSr:Jinny have you been crying ? What's wrong ?
Jinny:Yeah i cried the whole way from the doctors.
JohnSr:What happened ? Are you sick or something ?
Jinny:Dad quit the games aright ? Not in the mood.
JohnSr:What are you talking about ?
Jinny:I have the same doctor as mom did.
JohnSr:Jinny if this is about the affair-
Jinny hadn't even thought about the affair.
Jinny:No, dad. stop. you know that she was pregnant. why didn't you tell me ? tell us ?
JohnSr looks shocked.
JohnSr:WHAT ?! SHE WAS PREGNANT ?!?!?!
Jinny:Wait you didn't know ? Well she was pregnant. guess you guys weren't careful.
JohnSr:Jinny it's not my baby.
Jinny:What are you a doctor ? How do you know ? You didn't have sex ?
JohnSr:No...we did have sex but a couple of months before she killed herself I found out I was sterile.

Casey: WHAT ?!?!?!?!
Jinny:Uh my doctor gave me her files. she had been pregnant for 2 months.

Casey takes the file from Jinny. Looks at it and starts crying.

Casey: Dad you guys we're gonna...
Jinny:wait casey see dad's he's sterile.
Casey:No babies ?
Jinny:none.
Casey:SO if you couldn't have a baby then how would she have had it with.

Suddenly it hits Jinny !

Jinny:I KNOW !
JohnSr:WHO ?
Jinny:dad what are you stupid ?

Jinny didn't know why she said asap but she wanted to make sure casey knew she wanted for him to call her back.

So Jinny decides to go for a jog. On her way out she sees Dan putting some stuff into his bag.

Jinny to herself:hmm..whatever...

So Jinny goes jogging for about an hour. She stopped on the way for ice cream first though-nothing like a big old sugar rush.

She got inside her buidling.

Jinny:that's funny..dan's not here...hmm..said he "practically" lives in the buidling..practically my ass...

So Jinny walked upstairs and she got inside. It was dark put the bright red beeping coming from her answering machine was visible.

There were 6 messages for her-all for her-from casey.

1st one.."Jinny get down here...NOW"
2nd..."Jinny it's Casey again..I'm at dad's. come fast"
3rd.."Jinny dan is here"

By know Jinny wasn't liking the sound of this. Suddeny she got a pic of dan packing stuff into his bag and his empy office....

Jinny:damn...

She quickly grabbed her coat, and scarf and ran outside. She didn't have time to wait for a cab. She didn't know what was up..but she knew it wasn't good....

As soon as Jinny got outside she started sprinting towards her father's house. Now this was not a smart idea-considering the house was a mile or two away. so a quarter of the way there Jinny becomes tired.

Jinny:Damn it..must...keep..going...omg..i wonder what's happening..damn...

Jinny had to stop. She quickly caught her breath and started running even faster.

.....Jinny is halfway there......

Suddenly she starts feeling fatigued, a dizzy, and felt like she had a fever. Everything started spinning around.

Jinny:wow..maybe I should sit down. only for a minute.


............20 minutes later......

A dog runs up to Jinny and starts licking her.

Jinny:ah..get off...off boy shoot....go run....*the dog leaves*

Jinny looks at her watch. 8:30 ! omg...just for a minute turned out to be just for 20 minutes. damn it...i wonder what the hell is wrong.

Jinny gets out her cell phone and dials her dad's number.

Dan:*gets up* smooth move..but not as smooth as this! *punches him the face, Teddy was not prepared, and he fell over. Luckily he was only on the 1st step so there was no head damage*

Dan:You know what Jin? *picks up his gun, goes over to get teddy's but jinny gets it first*
Dan:*smiles, starts laughing* welll...now see that was just rude of yo-*jinny kicks him in the face*
Dan:DAMN!!!!!!!!!

Jinny climbs quickly up the stairs. She didn't now what to do, where to go. She was trapped-in her own home.

She ran inside her dad's room. She closed the door. There was no lock and she didn't have enough time to put something behind it. Dan was coming up the stairs. Jinny could hear his footsteps. The Division could proabably hear them.

Suddenly his footsteps stop. JInny backs away from the door and heads to the bathroom, with the gun in her hand.

Dan shoots the door by the doorknob, then realizes that that was pointless because it was not locked. He slams it open.

Dan: Ohhh Jiiiiiinay!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! where are u? here jinny jinny jinny.

Dan starts making his way to the bathroom. He was following Jinny's plan. Nothing could go wrong now.

He goes into the bathroom and Jinny comes from her hiding place-behind the door. She goes over to shoot him but Dan is faster.

Dan:*Gets her gun* ahh...not so fast now..eh ms. exstead?
Jin:*tries to run away*
Dan grabs her shoulder, the one that was shot, he was doing this on purpose.
Jinny screams out in pain.

Jin:JESUS!!!!!!!!!!
Dan:Woa...

Dan grabs her hips...turns her around. She's not over the sink. Dan is pushing her further and further and is trying to choke her. Jinny was not going to give up. She started to fight him back.

Dan:*laughs*
Jin gives him a questioning glance.
Dan:Funny...you and ur mom...both dying in the same place. how..touching.
Jin:*finally manages to punch him and heads for the door but dan grabs her hair* *faces her away from the door, with both of their back to it*

Dan: Ok...fine. we'll do it the faster way. *puts gun to the side of her head* bye jinny.....

She was expecting half of her head to be blown off.
She was expecting a pool of blood to be around her....that she would be unaware of.
She was expecting to be dead...completely dead.
She was expecting to die in the same place her mom died years earlier.

She was expecting to be lying life-less on the bathroom floor, waiting for the people to come and put her in a body bag like they did with her mother.

ok ppl..I think this is it. I've been stalling and stalling and here it is. The End of my 3rd ever fanfic. lol.

Jinny realizes that she had not been shot.
She turns around and sees Dan on the floor beside her...dead.
She looks up and sees Teddy there with a gun in his hands.

Jinny runs over to Teddy and hugs him.

The people come and put Dan in a body bag.

They take them to the hospital.

Jinny and Teddy get inside Teddy's car and start driving behind the ambulence.

Jin:They'll be ok.
Teddy:Yeah.

The ride to the hospital was quiet. Nothing much was said.

They finally reach the hospital.

The doctors work on JohnSr. and Casey.

Jinny is pacing the halls and Teddy is there with her.

Finally the doctor comes out.

Jin:SO?
Doc:They'll be fine. They can leave in 2 days.
Jin:*sigh of relief* THANK GOD!
Doc:You can go see them now. Your brother is sleeping though.
Jin:Thanx.
Doc: Oh, woa..what happened to you?

Doc:*Points to gunshot wound*

The doctor cleans the wound and wraps it up for Jinny. He also gives her a sling for her arm.

Jinny goes into her dad's room.

Jinny:*smiles* how are ya dad?
