Lost loves cases on UM were often about kids looking for birth parents or special friends in their life, which were heartwarming but kind of plain. The more interesting ones were about people looking for almost-strangers who helped them in certain times, such as a car accident or other dangerous situation. Can any of you list these kind of cases on this thread? The reason I'm so interested in these kind of cases is that they are kind of like the "wanted" cases, except these people are wanted for good deeds instead of bad ones.

It seems like most people here don't place value on the lost loves. When the show originally aired, these (as well as the "Lost Heirs") ranked among my favorite segments. As has been said many times before, these cases wouldn't be profiled in the internet age, but they were an integral part to the UM melange. A great deal of the UM magic lies within the way the variously themed segments could touch different parts of the viewer's emotions.

How about posting some new Lost Loves? Anyone? Are there even any more extant?

I like the Lost Love segments! They're usually beautifully filmed and quite poignant. I just love the happy endings!

I always liked the Lost Love segments. They weren't my favorite kind of cases but I thought they were important to have on a show that scared you to this level. A good reunion was always great to watch. My favorites were Duncan Gilmore, Linda Sharp and Becky Terry.

John Novotny volunteered in the "big brothers" program and his "little brother" Jeff Fisher was looking to thank him for being such a positive influence in his young life.

This is probably one of my favorites of the Lost Loves. As a child, Tom Vaughn was taken from his mother and placed in an orphanage where he was terribly unhappy. Another little boy there, Brendan (also named Vaughn but spelled differently) befriended Tom and was always doing things that cheered him up and helped him through such a tough time. They were eventually reunited.
