It's hard to convey what a difference Fox made when it launched 25 years ago this month in a TV world with just three networks. PLUS: 25 defining moments (http://www.newsday.com/entertainment/tv/25-defining-moments-of-fox-s-25-years-1.3671366) of Fox's 25 years.

That list is awful. No mention of Melrose Place, Party of Five, Ally McBeal, MadTV, In Living Color, Boston Public, 21 Jump Street or New York undercover?

I like how Fox even ignored the fact that it started as FBC and its first show was The Late Show starring Joan Rivers.

Oh god. I hated American Embassy. They cancelled my Ally McBeal for that piece of crap.

Married with children pretty much launched Fox but throughout the run, they treated it like crap, cancelled it without no proper series finale and rarely talk about it in all the years it's been off the air. The Bundy's were one of, if not, the first dysfunctional family on television. A few years before The Simpsons, Family Guy, Malcolm in the middle and other shows that centre on dysfunctional families.

'Ugh..the article is typical asinine material written by someone before FOX (or FBC or how I hate Rupert Murdoch) ...

You can pick your piece/generation.

FOX was never really groundbreaking, let's be real here outside of dumb online articles!

FOX never did anything ABC never did (-minus cancellation).
FOX never did anything CBS never did.(-minus cancellation)
FOX never did anything NBC never did.(-minus cancellation)

...The only thing FOX really gave us truly in their early years were Joan Rivers (a first, a late night female talk show host) and an adult themed animated series outside of the '60's.

The rest of it's history resides in fiction hidden in some dusty bookshelves.

The WB was actually more groundbreaking...

But we're all silenced, because Internet is king, right?

Unfortunately, EW (from the '90s) and other single failed media (blog) outlets will make you want to believe that FOX matters.

That's the magic of nostalgia!

...It actually doesn't matter.

Sadly in truth, FOX still lingers behind.

We've been saying for years now already, American Idol sucks!

KEEP IT UP!

American Idol sank one season and when it did the entire FOX lineup collapsed the next

How ironic?

...REALITY TV DOES NOT BELONG ON NETWORK TV, BECAUSE IT'S NOT ACTUAL REALITY...
