I have grown very bored with Facebook. I like it here much better. It's more intimate and interesting. Here I have met(in a sense) some very nice people. Connecting with old friends on Facebook was great and I am grateful for that but because of FB I have neglected SO . I have learned that many of our members don't post here anymore because of time spent on Facebook. That's too bad. I miss a lot of them! Wish they would come back here! What are your thoughts?

I'm on FB everyday. There are some days when there's alot going on and some days there's not alot going on, but most times there's alot going on, at least on my profile. I'm not bored with it yet. About 20 of my FB friends are people I know from here. When I had my cable turned off, I lost my internet, too, so I had to use my phone and FB is easier to do on my phone than SO is.

Though I'm on FB everyday, I chose here.

Because I come here and post everyday here. I know I also post on BCDB, DCF, Inthe00s, RJ, BC&LJ, Acme, and CIH when I can...but I rarely post there, though I do.

The only reason that I get on Facebook anymore is because most of my family is on there and it gives me an opportunity to stay in touch with family members and friends that I don't see hardly or talk to anymore or to check my messages but that is it. Other than I have no other use for it, they keep changing the site around a lot and it is hard to get use to everything that I find it difficult to enjoy it like I use to anymore. As for Sitcoms Online I like it better because it gives you an opportunity to connect and communicate with people on a personal level which is really good for me because I can't get drive so my only way of getting to know people is the computer. :dog:

It depends on my mood, which site is more active, and what's going on in my real life.

I'm not surprised that people like some aspects of this board better than FB. I heard something once; something about how a large percentage of conversations turn to television, movies and sports.

You'll never catch me on facebook.

I used to say that. Some people bugged me forever to get on FB. When I finally did, it doesn't take long to get hooked. It's not that bad. Everywhere you go, not just FB, you're going to encounter trolls but for the most part everybody is rather cool. And I learned a whole lot more about the people from SO on FB.

I only had one encounter with someone who dropped me as a friend on Facebook, we couldn't see eye-to-eye on things like abortions or religion.

I just blocked that person despite NOT hating me. I can't be a friend who can't get me!

Facebook and Sitcomsonline both have their ACTIVE MOMENTS. Facebook is active all day but it's really active between 8pm and 11pm and on Sundays. Sitcomsonline is dead on Friday nights but is active in the early evenings. So that's why I go on both. If Facebook is slow I come here, if this site is slow I go to facebook.

Amazingly, SitcomsOnline has remained in my top 5 websites since 2002. Now it has moved from number 1 to 5 and from 5 back up to 3 but never completely out of the top 5.

Facebook. Its just a great way to keep in touch with people. Through Facebook I've reconnected with people I haven't seen in 10 years or more. Where as only certain people will sign up for SO pretty much everyone has a Facebook account. Also, on Facebook you can befriend authors and other public figures to follow what they are doing. I recently became Facebook friends with Lana Wood, the younger sister of Natalie Wood, who played the little girl in The Searchers and Plenty O'Tool in the Bond film Diamonds Are Forever.

I'm on both almost equally. I use FB for Farmville which I'll chat with some neighbors about the game and to check on family or friends. I'm on here at work checking all the boards.

I really don't know in all honesty. It use to be SO, but lately I've gotten bored with this site. It's a bit repetitive here at times. Now I'm bored with Facebook though, and have been spending more time here. Facebook is cool because it's your wall, and you can post whatever you damn well please, and delete whatever you damn well please. You're in charge there. I like that. There are some things I like better about this site, some things I like better about fb. So I guess my answer is neither. I think we are lucky to have both.

I go on both. I've been on Facebook longer. I think its great to keep up with people that have gone to college or gotten married. I do hate all the changes that Facebook made over the years. They should've just left well enough alone.

SitcomsOnline is great because its nice to talk about old shows and new shows and just remember the old days of television.

SO.

Facebook is great for catching up with friends and family and reconnecting, but then again I don't feel like sharing every freaking day with everyone (and I don't) nor do I care to hear every detail of everyone I've ever met- or even haven't.

I feel constricted by Facebook. Feel like I will offend or hurt someone's feeling due to the array of friends and family on there. And I also feel like it's all out there- you say something stupid and everyone you ever met can judge you.

Facebook serves a purpose, but SO is like home.
